I'm so excited for you! It's your birthday! Yay! I wanted to surprise you a box of presents to put a big smile on your face and to show my appreciation for you and all you do. This year I turned fifteen and I had a quinceñera. At my quinceñera I wore a big, long, blue silky but puff dress, I had my quinceñera at a salon because I have a big family. For my quinceñera the waiters served this warm barbacoa which is a type of meat that is not spicy but on the side it comes with a somewhat spicy sauce if you want it to be spicy. They served that with steaming rice and nice warm beans and crunchy chips also so warm but smooth tortillas. I saw everyone enjoying the nice warm food, the food was delicious. Once everyone was done eating I saw that the band came in with their drums, trumpets, and more. The band played loud music and people got up and started to dance as well as me. Once everyone was done it time was time for the father daughter dance. My dad and I started to dance to a slow song I saw everyone taking out their phones and started to record us, I began to cry tears of joy. Once that was done everyone started to dance again. While everyone was dancing I went to go cut my two layer rectangular cake, my cake flavor was a fluffy red velvet cake with blue fondant and white frosting for some swirl designs. I had a lot of fun at my quinceñera and I hope every Mexican follows the tradition of doing one because they'll have fun and you only turn fifteen

The next day, I am so excited because I turn 16 in three days and I’m throwing a mega party! We have a DJ coming to play the latest tunes. I’m finally going to be considered old enough to take care of myself, which means I can date! Unfortunately, I still have a curfew around 10 or 10:30 on the weekend.

January 31st, 2016 is the day that I got my first motorcycle. It was the day my fiancé and I were moving to Jacksonville, Florida. We drove for about twenty minutes, until I got a call from my cousin. He said, “Cody I will trade my motorcycle for your car.” So, we met in the Walmart parking lot in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. When he pulled up with the motorcycle, I was excited. Then, I took a joy ride around the parking lot. I could not believe I finally could have my own motorcycle. I traded my car with a bad transmission for the bike. We were barely able to pick the back of the bike up to get it in the U-Haul truck. When we got here the movers had beat us here, and were waiting impatiently. So, when we opened the back of the truck and they saw my heavy motorcycle they were thrilled.

I opened my gifts and thanked the givers, who continued to argue with me. The waiters ended up throwing away most of the cake, because my family members seemed to have lost their appetites. Eventually I grew too tired to squabble anymore. I had to leave before anyone guessed my secret. I thanked them all for coming and hugged each one goodbye.

April 31: Last night the people at the front desk were so nice and as soon as we went in our room people gave us welcoming gifts. It was amazing. I wish we could've done more today though. All we did today was hike and then we went to the resort. The kids went to the water park that they have and the parents went to the place with all the other adults. The hotel we stayed at had amazing views and it was like living in a house! The hotel and the resort were so close that we could walk to it. We walked to the resort at night to see how it was because mom said we were gonna go there tomorrow so we went to go check it out. Tonight the parents said we can do anything we want so we are planning on going to the resort because it will feel cooler than it did this morning. If we don't go to the resort then we will go check some other stuff out so we can tell our parents what we want to do tomorrow.

Hello dear reader let me tell a little bit about myself. I was born August 11th, 2005. In Chicago, Illinois at University. Best hospital ever NUMBER 1. I don’t know exactly what time I was born but I think it was near dawn. I am the 2nd oldest in my family. I have 2 brothers who is 14 and 15. And 7 sisters WOW right!!! I am 144 months’ figure that out!!! I wish I was the oldest so I can boss them around but I can’t. ☹

It is a cold, October evening. My house is crazy. There is clothes everywhere, stacks of food for us, and enough Redbox DVDs to last months. My parents have been preparing my siblings and I for this weekend. They write down emergency numbers, not that we would need them, and tell us to maybe give our grandparents a call while they were away. My parents finish packing their suitcases and are now saying their goodbyes to my siblings and I before they leave for California for the weekend. This is the first time we will be left alone without adults. I am so excited. After what seems like an hour of hugging and kissing goodbye, my parents finally leave. I immediately call my friends and they say our plan is on for the weekend. We’ve had this plan

I walk downstairs to the dining set with the perfect lighting and background, with the table pushed to the wall to make sure it was out of the picture frame. I wore my orange Tommy Hilfiger T-shirt with khaki shorts. My sister made her way down the stairs and stood next to me as we put our hands around each-other’s shoulders and smiled for our first day pictures. I made my delicious first-day breakfast, consisting of some savoury Italian sausage and scrambled eggs. After devouring the flavorous meal, I ventured out to the driveway where we got in my sisters white Mazda. I was feeling like a gazelle being chased by a predator, so nervous and so eager for what the day held for me.

Im handed my first present. I read who it was from. then I ripped the wrapping paper off of the box. then I took the toy out of the box. then I showed everyone that it was a nerf gun.

Soon after that my sister and dad awoke, it was time to celebrate! I had my favourite breakfast, scrumptious waffles, with vibrant berries. The sweet wafts of syrup scented heat made my mouth water. Since we were going to celebrate my birthday in the evening, me and my sister decide to play some games to pass the time. We played Monopoly and Jenga! Our Monopoly game felt like it lasted for ages because the game could go on forever. She ended up winning, she had five hotels! Then we played Jenga. After I was done eating, I cleared off the table and washed the dishes while boxes and boxes were brought in, full of things from the wedding. As a opened the first box, I reached in to find extra napkins that were set at each table. They had my new last name engraved into them. As a kept rummaging through the box, I found picture frames that were set at the dessert table. Pictures of my husband and I, pictures when he was young, and pictures when I was young and pictures of us together. I remember it bringing back so many memories but all I could think of were the memories to come in life. As I was going through all the boxes, I could not help but smile at the fact that there was so much more to come in life.

In one day, nine hours, twenty- four minutes and nine seconds it will be my birthday. I will be sixteen years old. I better get everything I want for my birthday or I will throw a huge fit. It is my Birthday so I should get everything I want, since it is my day. My parents rented out the local pool, so just me and my friends can swim. My parents also got chipotle and orange leaf to cater my party. Everyone will be talking about it when we go back to school. And every one will want to be my friend since I always have the best parties you know.

The doorbell rang and it was then that I realised I must have been staring out of the window for at least 20 minutes, daydreaming. My favorite thing to do, ever since I started going out with this guy called Patrick. I slowly walked to the other side of the room, to see whoever came in first. It was my best friend Ava and her new boyfriend Jeremy. They managed to get in somehow with two giant purple balloons and wished me a Happy Birthday, handing me their present. The rest of our friends were supposed to arrive very soon, so they managed to help me with the decoration I didn't have time to put up. While I was putting the food on the table, I was thinking about how well this evening should turn out. Not only because of my birthday, but I wanted to introduce Patrick to my closest friends. They've heard so many things about him, they sounded really interested in him and wanted to know him as well. I told him to turn up a little bit later, in order to introduce him to everyone at once.
