“Taylor!” yelled coach, “get your head in the game. We are about to face off the Vikings. We haven’t lost to this team in years. We will win! We can win! Ready boys, hands in. One! Two! Three! MUSTANGS!”
A series of hoots filled the locker room; I could feel the energy in the room. I felt confident in myself; after all I am the star quarterback for the team. So naturally I was taken back when I felt a pain running through my chest, but I couldn’t let coach know. He gave a quick pep talk and shoved us back out on the field. The Vikings put out their biggest and fastest linebacker, who eyed me down with death glare.
