On April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh set off a truck bomb outside of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The attack under McVeigh left 168 people dead and more than 650 people injured. Nov. 5, 2009 in Ft. Hood, Texas, Major Nidal M. Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, killed 13 people and injured 32 others at his base.

In the D.C, Baltimore area, two people, John Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo drove around on a shooting spree that killed and inflicted terror on many people. The spree lasted from October 2nd, 2002 until October 24th.

Hasan, of Syrian descent, was a young Muslim in respect to practicing the religion but was not reported to possess hostile views toward the U.S. His family reported that he often talked about his job positively. Hasan could have been converted to extremist views by the imam due to his influence within the mosque, and that because extremist ideals contradict his Army position. On January 30, 27 year old Alexandre Bissonnette opened fire on a Quebec city Islamic Cultural Center, killing six attendants of the service. Ms. Muhammad was falsely arrested on July 4th, 2016 in Chicago, IL without a probable cause and was a victim of an unlawful warrant, both of which violated the Fourth Amendment. The treatment she received was a sign of islamophobia, prejudice, and violated Muhammad’s right to freedom of religion. No actions for which Muhammad is charged for, that is, walking on CTA with her Muslim clothing, are not legal or legitimate to make an accusation of a reckless conduct. It is still undetermined if Al Qaeda was directly responsible to the Fort Hood Shooting. It is known that Hasan was in contact with Anwar al Awlaki, a known Al Qaeda supporter/member for months before the Fort Hood attack. The FBI Agents in San Diego had been investigating Awlaki, a former San Diego resident, for his possible connections to the 9/11 hijackers. During their investigation is when agents discovered the emails that Hasan had sent Awlaki (http://abcnews.go.com). The investigation into the shoot has not revealed any evidence that Hasan was directed by anyone to commit the shooting. It is believed that Hasan acted alone and that Awlaki or Al Qaeda had no direct involvement in the incident.
