Performance management systems benefit stakeholders at every level if they are implemented successfully. Performance management systems align employee performance with the strategic direction set by the organization. St. Jessica’s Urban Medical Center’s leadership must perform specific actions, prior to implementing the new performance management system, to ensure it is a success. The organization's leadership must disseminate the information throughout the company, create a process that ensures employees can dispute ratings, train raters to evaluate employees and gain buy-in from early adopters (Aguinis, 2013). A newly implemented performance management system will fail if the proper steps are not taken in the beginning.

Best Buddies is a non-profit organization that promotes the good through one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It has created lasting relationships between students with disabilities and their peers, therefore, helping to improve the quality of life and level of inclusion for a population that is often isolated and excluded. It has also provided employment opportunities for those with IDD, allowing them to be productive members of the labour force. Lastly, Best Buddies has given those with intellectual and developmental disabilities the chance to realize their potential by encouraging them to become leaders.

The nonprofit sector in America is a reflection some of the foundational values that brought our nation into existence. Fundamentals, such as the idea that people can govern themselves and the belief that people should have the opportunity to make a difference by joining a like-minded group, have made America and its nonprofit sector what it is today. This is an organization that truly holds up the values of being a not-for-profit organization. Their mission is "To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens" (Boys & Girls Clubs of America, 2013). With a mission such as this it is obvious that this is an organization that is about the youth and enabling them to grow as individuals.

When one talks about ‘Nonprofits’ many things come to mind; People often use phrases such as 501c3’s, charitable, ambassadors of the poor, and tax free organizations to umbrella the whole nonprofit sector. However, what large portions of our country fail to note is that there are differences within the nonprofit branch. Achieving peak performance requires consistency, clear objectives, and constructive employee evaluation. This memo discusses the findings of federal and non-profit organizations that support public policy research in transportation, forestry, and agriculture. While many organizations provided funds for transportation, forest, and agricultural needs; many did not offer funding opportunities for organizations to conduct public policy related research. Despite the difficulties, thirty-four non-profit foundations and two federal websites were identified as providing funding opportunities for public policy research in transportation, forestry, and/or agriculture. Of the thirty-foundations, fifteen are discussed below; including background information about the foundation, organizational goals, and examples of programs each foundation funds.

Nonprofit charities and foundations are essential in bringing people together for significant causes. One of the most notable aspects of being a strong, well-rounded citizen comes through giving back to communities. Through organizations such as soup kitchens, thrift stores, and hospitals, we can put food in hungry bellies and hope in hungry hearts. Nonprofit attorneys play significant roles in the success of many of these organizations. I am currently planning to pursue a career in law, which will aid me in assisting nonprofit charities that require support in navigating complicated laws and regulations. As a nonprofit attorney, I will guide private foundations in managing their assets and running programs that abide with regulation laws.

As a non-profit organization, our company has been profoundly doing well in helping raise money for families. Being with an organization which is committed to providing assistance to families in impoverished towns is very generous. Although, there is a concern I would like to address regarding using certain data we are using in our annual reports.The company uses pie charts to display data and prefers one type of pie chart over the other. I feel that we should use the pie chart which demonstrates the percentages.
