Currently, the College of Osteopathic Medicine department at Nova Southeastern University offers multiple clinical services that are open to the public. Here patients have the opportunity to establish care and get treated by doctors. These clinics also help students to learn and experience firsthand what it takes to become a doctor. The students are able to work alongside the doctors, and have one on one encounters with the patients. The main clinics are located at the Sanford L. Ziff center; the clinics currently available are Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Family Medicine, Optometry, and Dental. From Monday to Friday the clinics operate from 8AM to 5:30PM, except for Family Medicine which on Tuesdays and Thursdays provide a night clinic service, from 5pm to 7pm and a weekend clinic on Saturdays from 8am to 12pm. Nova Southeastern University relies heavily on its faculty and staff help manage and operate these clinics. There are over 350 employees currently working in this department. Employees here learn to provide excellent customer service, to learn how to deal and verify health insurances, to help and keep up to date with accounts receivables and accounts payable. It is a structural term that not only includes gender or race but it includes language, culture, beliefs, education, traditions and skills. Encouraging Cultural diversity in the workplace is a great opportunity because when individuals that are so diverse with different ideologies, experiences, and skills come together to work together there are almost no limitations to achieving a successful work environment. The challenge that arises is in the fact that when you have a lot of individuality under one roof, it becomes hard to have everyone on the same page following the same process, rules, and expectations; communication and productivity tend to take a
Say you’re a rural Midwestern farmer in bed recovering from a major illness at your local hospital. It’s time for nurse’s check in, but there’s no knock on the door.
Workplace diversity is when there is diverse culture of individuals in the workplace. It is when there is a value placed on the variety of ideas, race, ethnicities, religion, gender, sexuality and orientation, which is flourishing in an environment. Depending on your employer and workplace, workplace diversity can vary based off several different factors. Usually, there is a preferential standpoint taken on the matter and it can be either display a high or a low context culture of diversity. Thank you for your response regards to "Rolling Meadows Community Hospital". John did not act in a fairly manner by not giving the intern the position. Even though John did confess his truly feelings it still ended up being an altercation not only for him but the hospital as well. I agree where you stated "This provide an understanding that just because one doesn’t physically touch or ask for physical contact doesn’t mean you can’t get in trouble for comment." I believe John felt like he could get away with this case just because he was the CEO of the hospital but it obviously does not matter what type of position you hold in a work environment; this should not be tolerated at any work environment.
The Miami VA Hospital’s Nutrition and Food Service Department assess the quality of each item that is prepared in their facility and served to each patient. The drugs protected by the law are safe yet still harmful. War veterans feeling the worst of the pain, after being honorably discharged for injuries sustained in action. While going through treatment for the injuries the veterans found themselves addicted to the pain medication. The veterans needing help through their addictions, PTSD, and injuries found themselves sedated for most of their treatment at the VA hospital. Waggoner; a patient at the VA hospital was addicted to pain medication and expected help from the medical staff. However instead of getting the help he needed he was given more drugs than necessary according to Cironline “The VA hospital in Roseburg kept him so doped up that he could barely stay awake. On August 27, 2016 worker received a letter from Dr. Andrew Duxbury, MD, Mr. Walker’s doctor at the VA Medical Center. The letter stated Mr. Walker has both physical and mental limitations that render him dependent on a third party for care. He is unable to understand normal decisions for daily living and patient’s need for 24-hour care and supervision was discussed with family on June 9, 2016 during home visit.
The Miami VA hospital has been troubled after the scandal that involved thousands of patients being exposed to the risks of HIV/AIDS and other diseases. The major issue arose on the fact the management in place was not making any progress to deal with the problem. After going through the case study, the hearing on the situation and further research on the internet regarding the Miami VA Hospital, I made several findings that enabled me to come up with the following recommendation to help rejuvenate the hospital.

The area that I chose to discuss under the CFO is the Director of Budgeting. The roles and responsibilities include handling the budget, and managing all expenditures and its limits, supervising staff, and analyzing profit goals, revenue, and expenses while complying the regulations of not only the company but the state and federal industry as well. Some additional methods of management that would fall under this area include directors of human resources. They work hand in hand with each other when it comes to making sure funds are available for new staff hiring, new functions of operations, employee medical and dental benefits, etc.

Based on the diagram, Florida Hospital Westley Chapel can send, receive and find, however, it cannot use. This means that if health information is send, receive and find, it is still useless without it being able to be use.
I chose to review the University of Kansas Hospital (TUKH). I currently attend clinical at this facility and have had clinical time there in first semester as well. TUKH is an acute care hospital that treats a vast array of patients. The hospital has an overall ranking of 3/5 stars. According to the information from the “Survey of Patient Experiences” (Medicare, n.d.), TUKH met or exceeded most categories on both the state and national levels. Some subjects that were not met were patients not receiving help as soon as they asked for it, patient rooms not remaining clean, and the hospital being a somewhat noisy environment during sleeping hours. In my opinion, the categories not being met by TUKH are issues that all hospitals face. In such a busy hospital it is hard for patients to receive care at the exact moment they want it because staff are extremely busy. Also, hospitals are loud
