Opposingly, South Korea and the United States created a republican government which president Syngman Rhee led. Eventually, this created tension between North and South Korea due to the different views on ruling. This would begin a series of battles and casualties within the Korean War .

The rising tension over the sinking of a South Korean ship reached to a serious conflict between South Korean and North Korea. South Korean is accusing North Korean for firing the torpedo on purpose which resulted in 46 sailors deaths. According to Yonhap news, North Korean military official accused the South of intruding into North Korean waters in the Yellow Sea. North Korea sends a warning message to South Korea by firing torpedo to warn South Korea to not intrude in to their waters in Yellow Sea. North Korea doesn’t want to admit to their mistake; instead they are threatening to retaliate with military actions if South Korea won’t stop with accusations.

The US should unofficially help South Korea build nuclear missiles and place them at the North Korean border. The US should treat them like they treat Israel’s and pretend they don’t exist. We will send American engineers and workers over to South Korea to help build them and tell the public and the world that it is to help build infrastructure. It will be revenue for American companies and workers while simultaneously protecting South Korea. If the secret of South Korea having nuclear weapons is exposed the US should say they have placed out own nuclear weapons at the border for defensive purposes. America shouldn’t admit that they have helped the South Koreans become nuclear instead they should act as if they put American nuclear weapons on American bases in South Korea. If Kim Jung Un mentions them turn the focus on his illegal weapons activity and threaten to at the very least impose U.N. Security Council sanctions for their nuclear and missile tests. If North Korea is no longer honoring the armistice South Korea shouldn’t be required to either.

Korea is one of the few countries that are split and are currently still at war. Many people do not know about the Korean War since it was not a popular war, it did not get as much media attention as other wars. Numerous people do not have much knowledge of the history of Korea and how South and North Korea split.

The globe is facing many problems that are putting innocent people in harm, one of those being the North Korean Nuclear Crisis. The increase of tensions in North Korea is a major conflict because North Korea is testing nuclear weapons that are specifically meant to target the United States and South Korea. To solve this issue, the United Nations has tried to put defense mechanisms in place, but embargos are more effective for solving the issue.
