OBC Biblical Studies Essay
As long as I can remember, the Bible has been an important part of my life. I began reading Bible Stories as soon as I begam reading at age four. Beginning here and continuing throughout my life, the Bible continued to be my go to when times got tough and provided me with an enjoyable reading experience.
My love for God's word began at an early age and continues today. The study of God's word has been a life time endeavor.
My life has held many bad and tragic experiences. From abuse of many kinds to loss of loved ones in tragic circumstances, God's has always been there to provide me with love, support, and direction. The Bible has expressed to me the communication and word from God himself. If we want

This Course has brought out the call for everyone to share this Gospel whenever and where ever they can. It certainly has made it clearer to me.
Survival in this world depends on God. We get closer to God through the study of his holy word. We get to know Jesus who gave his life so we can be saved. This is the good news for this dying world.
The Biblical Studies course has taught me more than this essay can express. All the lessons have been life changing. It challenged me to really think about each topic and brought out clear revelations on the plan God has us all. I do believe there is an anointing on these lessons.
It has mad me stronger in many ways. I am more dedicated then every before in Bible study and ministry. My relationship with God is Stronger; and I have a greater need to share God's word and the Gospel with those God puts in my path.
No matter what someone is going through; God's word has the answer. Life is certainly better with God in it.
I am thankful and grateful to God for his direction to Online Bible College. I am glad to have been given the opportunity to study the Lessons in the OBC Biblical Studies Course and I am looking forward to continuing my study with
I have struggled with things I didn’t know how to overcome and had to leave in the hands of God. I had to put my trust in God when my great aunt had to have emergency surgery. She is ninety years old and the doctors didn’t think she would be strong enough to recover, but she recovered faster than they would expect a heathy, young person to.
Even in the midst of suffering, God is aiming for your ultimate good (Jer. 29:11-13; Rom. 8:28; Gen. 50:20).
Bible also. I became a Christian, and I was baptized at seven years old. My minister at the time, Charles
My overall understanding of the gospel has changed during this course in many ways. Throughout this course, thus far, I have learned how to share the gospel more effectively and how to communicate the gospel to other people and different cultures. I have a better understanding and grasp of the gospel, and feel more confident for when I will present in front of other people. I understand more clearly how to explain about the good news of Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection and how to communicate it to people with different perspectives. Before this class I never really considered that other cultures and ethnic groups will have different views on the gospel, and will need to have it communicated to them differently. During one of the classes we watched a video by Jason Bethke about how he loved Jesus, but hated religion.
After meditating on Psalm 1, I gained new insight in regards to the kind of life I want to live. This passage compares two different lifestyles, one that will lead to an abundance of blessings and one of destruction. The difference simply boils down to whether or not you delight in God’s word. Meditating on this passage was eye-opening in several ways. I realized how little I willingly read and enjoy Scripture. Most of the time I don’t even bother reading Scripture unless I am almost forced to. The two times you can find me opening up the Bible is when it is for a class or when I am at church on Sunday. This was utterly astounding for me to realize, but it is the sad truth. I do not want to feel forced to read the Bible, I want to truly enjoy it and think about it often. I want reading the Bible to become a habit that I will continue for the rest of my life.
Even when things are going badly in my life, my constant drive pushes me towards God, questioning why things are happening and looking to God to show me the way, granting me patience and guidance through an incredibly hard time. Thus, even in times of darkness, my relationship with God is strengthened. Furthermore, the mystery of faith excites me and I can use this to strengthen my spirituality with God by thinking about him.
God love us. Case and point, look at Jesus. Did Jesus ever have any hardship; did he ever have any suffering? And why, because God loves you and he sent his son to die for you and pay the price for your sins. Remember that. We need that foundation of faith. We need the real answers to God questions to hold onto when the storms
I agree with Megan S. This story has a great example on how anytime (especially in times of need) you can set your heart on God and he will help you through it. I really like this story because whenever i'm in trouble, hurt, or just need someone to trust in, i can think of this story and it will remind me that God will ALWAYS be there to help me or anyone. And in your paragraph you made it really clear to see that.
My enthusiasm to read the bible stuck with me as I developed my Christian character and influenced my interest in joining bible study groups. Consequently, I have become a regular member of bible
Understanding better now that the time frame, pattern and arrangement that was set aside to seek God is a long life commitment. By all means that is good news to me.
Great to here that you have been impacted tremendously by this course. I believe that one of the greatest accomplishments of a Christian is to understand and learn how to make right choices in life. Such as, choosing to be obedient to the word of God, choosing that which is not passing, and choosing that which is for eternity can take time to learn. Why? It is so important, for the reason that one’s choices will determine the quality of life, circumstances, successes, victories, accomplishments, purposes, achievements, prosperity, triumph, tranquility, etc. On the other hand, not to choice wisely can bring failure, lack of success, nonfulfillment, dereliction, collapse, suffering, pain, lostness, aguish, spiritual bankruptcy, etc. Just as your
Oh how I’ve been blessed by our one true God! Oh how he has taken his compassion upon me and turned my sorrow into something great. I would have never thought I would escape the place I was in; feeling unloved and lonely. But oh how God has taken himself upon my problems and turned them around! God saw me in my darkest hour, and I would strongly encourage to keep faith and hope in him through your trials, for he will see you and present you with blessings.
(NIV) He is always there for me. He is the one I can always depend on. The picture I took was an easier and closer reminder. I often look back onto this picture. I find it brings hope, joy, relief, promise, and restores my faith. My God will always carry me through the storm.
I always knew about the bible, it would be very hard not to when you live in a Christian household and not to mention my dad being the Senior Pastor at my church. These going through the motions continued into my teen years and being a typical teenager, I start to question why I was doing the things I would do. During all the questions I asked I started to drift away
I have gained so much knowledge about God and his word since starting home schooling in early September. Reading the Bible has become one of the subjects I am required to do every day and it has become my absolute favorite. I have read the entire book of Galatians, Philippians,
