Name of Character: Cupid (The God of desire)

Hobbies: Considering the fact that I look like a baby, I love playing with toys. One toy that I love playing around with is my bow and arrow I love to shoot it at people. Occasionally I do feel lonely, but when I shoot my arrow it makes me happy as I feel love in the air.I also like my mother and like to keep her happy, I guess that’s why everyone says i’m quite the charm as ever girl likes me and things i’m lovely. Something that people don’t know is that I have a poisonous bite, which might get me a little street credit, but kind of makes me lack of what I have going for me. One day of the year I love going, down to earth because, yep, you guessed it... Valentine's day. I love valentine's day not only because it's a day of celebration of what I do but that love is in the air, I love the smell of love.

When the class was told that we would have an obituary assignment, I thought it would be really interesting to do because when do you ever think to write your own obituary? I understand that writing the obituary would make it more surreal, that one day our life will come to an end. I remember you telling the class to try to put a picture of ourselves on our obituary to make us believe it really happened, so that’s what I did. I can say that after this assignment, it did make me think more about how I live my life and what things I should change.
The most important aspect of the Latin American culture has everything to do with honor. Women have the biggest responsibility when it comes to honor. Losing your honor might undoubtedly portray as the worst deed in this culture. In a Chronicle of a Death Foretold the author Gabriel Marquez demonstrates the horrifying actions taken when losing one’s honor. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the events that occurred in the novel and compare them to the same the culture and also the outcomes of going against your religion in different cultures.
Many stories of famous outlaws always leave you wondering if it is true or not. When you hear about them it surprises you of the things they were capable of doing. Their legacy stays in history where for many years their stories will be told, but sometimes their extreme fame came from rumors people spread or by adding more to story. One of the many people whose fame came from mostly myths was Belle Starr. Belle Starr was a very famous outlaw in Oklahoma and the surrounding states she was known as the “Bandit Queen” for many reasons, some being for horse thefts, robberies, and for hiding fugitives in her property.
The concept and belief of honor in the Columbian culture in Chronicle of a Death Foretold is one of the deciding aspects of the character's actions, motives, and beliefs. Nobody questions the actions taken to preserve ones honor because it is such an important moral trait that one must cherish. In this society a man or woman without honor is an outcast to the community and to the culture. In Chronicle of a Death Foretold two twin brothers are burdened with defending this tradition of honor. The brothers find out that their sister has lost her virginity before marriage and she claims that Santiago Nasar is to blame. To regain the honor of their sister, and their family the brothers believe it is their duty to kill Santiago Nasar. Could such
It is 5:30am on opening morning of deer hunting season and my alarm explodes into a racket that would wake an army. I roll out of bed and rub the sleep from my eyes. I only slept six hours last night because my family and I were preparing for the hunt, getting the guns ready, laying out a clothes-man, everything. As I throw some pants on, the smell of fresh pancakes wakes me up. It is at this time I realize the season is upon us. Since January I have been waiting for this day to come, today begins the annual nine day season that brings our family together each November.

Response: A news story about death occurs when a person loses their life unnaturally through some type of tragedy like a murder or housefire. Obituaries, on the other hand, focus on people who die naturally because of an illness or old age. Also, prominent citizens who die, tend to have their obituaries written as news stories by reporters. When looking inside a newspaper, obituaries are found on the “obituary page”, while news stories about death usually appear alongside other breaking news. Are obituaries about death, though?
Days 60, 61 and 62 of summer 2015: the heat has clearly gone to my head, hence the reason for no posts the past few days. As happy as my vitamin D levels are right now, I find myself getting way too excited for the school year. Many of my friends and family members already know but, since everything is officially in the works, I can announce that I am switching my major to Nursing and starting my pursuits at Penn Valley this coming fall. After a challenging year at UMKC I found myself not getting the same enjoyment from music as I have for the past 18 years of my life. After a lot of praying and talking with my family, I decided that I wanted to go back to loving music on my own terms. Music will always be a huge part of my life but I feel
Author Joseph Campbell once wrote that life can be split into three things. These things are stuff that can't be talked about, words that describe these things, and the boring everyday talk we find ourselves in. However, there have been a series of poems that can help deal with the things that are hard to talk about. Each poem is different, yet they have one thing in common Love.
I decided to write this in pencil, knowing it would have to be transcribed onto a computer later because it seemed natural. I forgot how easy they are to use when time has given me so much technology, time has given me a computer. Natural seems the most appropriate thing to do when referencing a story about love. Love is something ironically so cliché and so important that I always take it for granted, like this beautiful piece of yellow painted wood with a small number two engraved into it. Like love, when using a pencil sometimes mistakes are made, but the eraser like time doesn’t fully cover them up ever. Pretending mistakes don’t exist, doesn’t make them go away, only writing something more profound over it can make it seem that way. I
