This semester in order for me to be successful, I know I have to be discipline in regards to my academic career. In order to be successful, I plan to make sure I set goals for myself. Setting goals will allow me to have something to work towards. By setting goals this will help keep me driven and will act as a record of the advancement I have made. It will also help me to push myself to continue working hard. One of my goals this semester is to achieve all A’s in my classes. In order to achieve this goal, I have to make sure I attend all of my classes. Attending my classes and making sure I am posting on time will keep me in tune with my academics. I also believe it is very important to make sure I know my professor office hours as well and
Keeping track of my academic goals this school year is very important to me. These goals consist of obtaining a 4.0 both semesters. To achieve this, I plan to pay attention in class and make sure to study for tests and quizzes. Also improving upon my procrastination so I am not finishing a project I was assigned two weeks ago the night before. I aim to accomplish this by working to have 50% of a project done, 50% through the given amount of time to finish the
College is a life changing adventure, and I want it to be the best experience I can possibly receive. Attending Medgar Evers College, I have set high hopes and expectations. I hope to interact with people of diverse ethnicity. I want to learn more about different cultures and the individualization of people. And so far getting to know people on campus has been one of my greatest experiences. I have met so many wonderfully different people here. I hope to develop more independence. To be more responsible for keeping up with my schoolwork, preparing for tests, and making most out of my classes, even when they start early. Being successful in college is about more than handing your work in on time and passing classes. It’s about staying motivated. I know for a fact there will be a lot of demanding of my time. I know that procrastinating is not the best way of approaching situations. It is my responsibility to try to regularly motivate myself, even if it’s pulling
Attendance is an area I did well on in this class. I showed up on time and for the most part I was prepared for class. A couple of areas I think I could have done better on was class participation and procrastinating on my work. In class I think it would have helped me if I had been more involved and asked the professor more questions. Procrastination was probably my biggest weakness. I would wait till the last minute to write a paper and get a decent grade on it, but not an A like I would have liked. I know that if I had wrote my papers ahead of time and had more time to plan them out I would have gotten better grades on my papers. In my next English class I will continue to have good attendance and be prepared for class. What I plan on changing in my next class is my extreme amount procrastination. I plan on getting all of my work done well before the time it is due. If I can continue my good attendance and stop procrastinating, I will put myself in a good position to be successful and make an A in my next English
I have made a schedule on what days I would be writing my papers for my other 3 classes. I also broke down the chapters I will be studying on different days for my algebra class. I don’t think it will be to hard because in high school I had to take 6 exams for all my classes. This year all I have to take is one physical in class exam. So this whole process will be different for me. To this day I still appreciate how prepared I came into college, in large parts thanks to my high school. If all goes well, I can finish my first semester with all A’s. Although the semester went by fast, there were days were it went by really slow. I’ve learned a lot in my first semester. Some things didn’t go as expected for me, but in the end it’s a lesson leaned. Lastly, next semester I will be having a new roommate. One of my roommates is transferring so I am assuming that they would place another girl in our room. I’m anxious to see who it is and how everything turns out. Hopefully everything works out because have good roommates is essential for a good college experience, in my opinion. Anyways these next 2 weeks I will be reviewing all my notes and writing all my papers. I know what the reward is for me if I everything goes well. I must finish the semester
For this school year my goals academically are not only to keep a high gpa, but to also build fundamental relationships with the people in my classes. I plan on keeping a high gpa by not procrastinating and sticking to a schedule. However, to build those vital relationships I plan on pushing myself to make that connection and not be tempted to resort back to a comfort zone. During the spring semester I hope to get an on campus job,
In the past year, in which I have sat out from Tarleton, there were some changes that happened in my life. I quit my job that was not related to my Master’s degree and now I am working in the IT field. I am a Help Desk Analyst. I am putting to use the knowledge I acquired through the classes I have taken at Tarleton in this position. With this position, I am better equipped to pursue and complete my master’s degree. When I get reinstated back in the spring, I promise to be dedicated to my classes. I developed an action plan that I have included in this document. To begin with, I will develop a time management plan that includes at least 12 hours per week of study time. I will be able to measure how many hours per week I study throughout the
I plan on ensuring that I will satisfy all future University Honors requirements by being more diligent about putting honors events into my calendar and making time for them. I believe that after this quarter I will not have the same problems because I know how to do my job and I am familiar with the course load now that I have taken my first quarter of organic chemistry, biology, and physics together. This quarter has also made me realize that I can benefit from attending counseling at Counseling and Psychological Services so that I can manage my stress better. It has also taught me that I need to be more adaptable with my approach to time management than I was in the past and that there is a better way to balance my life and achieve the grades
I am the type of student that starts off with the best intentions and plan to get a high GPA score for the year.. I'll will do great the first few weeks, get all my assignments done on time, and doing well on quizzes. Then I might get behind on an assignment and spend time catching up instead of studying for the next class. By then I have fallen behind in the class and maybe a month later ill slip up again, the end result is me not doing my absolute best by the end of the semester.
One of my goals this year is to maintain an average of 90% or above. This can be achieved if I devote a portion of my time to study and review my notes every day, even if there is no test or exam for that subject in the near future. I will also complete my homework as soon as it is assigned, because that way, I am not in a rush to complete it so I can take my time to fully understand the questions and concepts. To me, my academics are important, so maintaining a high average is an indicator that I’m doing well in the designated subjects. This is beneficial because having good grades will allow me to have more choices for post-secondary education.
I am officially done with the 1st semester of my junior year in high school, I still need 3 semesters more till i graduate which will be in 2018. Throughout the first semester I was on the right path and i want to keep it that way. I tried so hard to keep my grades up , i did everything i could and it wasn’t hard as i thought it would be. As a result all my hard work payed off and i got the grades i think i deserve. What i do need to work harder on is attendance, I’m either late to my 1st, 2nd period or sometimes i come till nutrition. Attendance has always been my struggle, but my goal for the rest of my high school year till I graduate is to be to all my classes on time and come to school everyday. Another one of my struggles is participating
Attitude is everything. For every goal, there are multiple goals. The main goal should be to graduate on time. This main goal will lead to proper study habits, more successful course rights, overall higher GPA, and overall healthy college lifestyle. Confidence in academics is important. The more focused, the more determined to achieve and set even more goals. Creating
To start off, in this last quarter of the school year, I want to accomplish the three goals I want to accomplish for the final quarter. My first goal I want to accomplish is getting A’s and A+’s in Math, Science, and Commarts class. Also I want to accomplish this goal because I struggle when it comes to handing it homework to get the grades I am hoping for the final quarter. Although when it is time for her too put my grades in the grade book it is a C, D, of F. I will have to accomplish doing my homework with my mom and in team study with Mr.Morgan so I get A’s and A+'s for my grades. To add on, my second goal I want to accomplish is turning in my homework right away not at the last minute. I want to accomplish this goal because, I struggle
The numbers are not accurate because once everyone left the classroom with their tubes, each tube was introduced to different variables. Each student did not treat the tube exactly the same which resulted on data that is not accurate. There was also a flaw in the extraction method. When the curds and whey was being extracted from their tubes, There was a lot of curds stuck in both the Rennilase sample tubes and the Lactobacillus sample tubes. This resulted in lost data and the final amount of curds not being accurate. Whey was also still on each of the cheese filters which is also lost data. The curdling time for enzyme was relatively faster versus the curdling time for bacteria.
After two full weeks of college I have quickly learned that college is very stressful and if I want to be successful I need to learn how to set practical goals and acquire necessary tactics to accomplish each goal in the given amount of time. I have set three goals for my first semester of college to achieve success in both academic and personal areas in my life. I want to receive a 4.0 GPA, only have up to one absence in each class, and be able to run seven miles nonstop, I will complete these three goals all in my first semester of college. With essential goal setting strategies I am equipped with I will be able to accomplish my three goals in the time frame given and set myself up for success for next semesters as a UNC student.
In this case study, I will explore ways that are of hindrances to Edward in the classroom and how minimizing the distractions will be able to improve in accomplishing his work and tasks. I will be discussing how to make the most of the classroom through Edward being able to access the teacher without having distractions. Lastly, I will be discussing how rearranging the classroom would be beneficial to Edward in finishing his work and tasks without distractions around him to not focus.
