The career that I have chosen to pursue in less than ten years is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Obstetrician is specialized with pregnancy and labor. They prepare their patients for childbirth and observe their health while being pregnant. Gynecologist specializes in female reproductive system. Gynecologists also diagnose and nurse diseases and disorders. Both careers go hand in hand. Thus, an Ob/Gyn provides medical and surgical care to pregnant women. An Ob/Gyns job is extremely remarkable. They undergo multiple steps before being able to practice in that field of area. People don’t identify the job they perform and how much they are depended on my millions of people. Education plays a immense factor in becoming an Ob/Gyn. Obstetrician/Gynecologist
This continual career contemplation changed during a night when my grandmother was taken to the emergency department. I remember feeling uneasy and helpless while dialing 911 and riding in the ambulance with her to the hospital. I wished I had the abilities at the time to help her instead of just watching her lay there unresponsive. The staffs at the hospital were very knowledgeable, but I appreciated the nurse that took care of my grandmother the most. As I stood
When I was younger I wanted to be a nurse, as I grew up my career choices changed based on different situations. I was a nursing major my first years of college. After witnessing different situations in life and job shadowing a nurse, I decided I wanted to be the person the patient talked to and confided in. I change my major to psychology in hopes of becoming a counselor. I received my bachelors in psychology then realized that it was not possible to become a counselor without a master's degree. So now I am in the process of finding another career that I would love. Medical billing and coding allows me to stay within the health field and gives me experience in a medical setting. Medical billing and coding is a well-paying entry level job.
If i were to have a baby pass away in the womb or after i deliver They work with the babies in the hospital when a mother is about to deliver the baby. Many people think that delivering babies might be gross or nasty, but i think that it's amazing. They made a job that lets you bring out a new living thing into the world. I think it's crazy how much one job can affect someone's life for better or worse. I want to be an obgyn when i grow up because i love kids and babies.
Registered Nurses have a lot of responsibilities and other jobs, the career I chose is a NICU Nurse. They work in the rooms with babies to monitor any complications, but mostly premature babies. I chose this career because I love babies and I would love to be the reason why a baby got better. This career will be a great fit for my life goals because I’ve always wanted to be a nurse and I love working with babies so why not put both the things I love into one.
For my Health Science 1 class we were instructed to choose 3 different careers. The careers to be chosen were a health care career, a career of disinterest, and a career we would like to pursue. I aspire to be a Cardiovascular Perfusionist because it would feel great to be able to prevent someone from dying pre- maturely. I dislike the real estate field because they don't make much money and they do entirely too much work for not much profit. I choose Neurology as my health care career because I like learning about the brain, how it works and how and why people get mental disorders.
Way back when I first started college, my priorities were not clear. I knew I wanted to do something that I can be proud of, it was only a matter of what do I really want that will fill my life and complete me as a person. I was in the manufacturing field since I was 19 years old and yet, I felt a hole in my heart. I got to a point where I stop growing as an individual and it became apparent that I wanted to do something more significant. That void became the fuel to pursue something bigger and life changing. I tried to dig deep and really tried to figure out what I want in life and at the same time I started taking classes that can go towards any degree in the medical field. Taking care of people has always been a part of me. I took care of
The career path I have chosen to take is in the medical field. My dream from a young age was always to be a nurse. A nurse is a healthcare professional who is focused on caring for people, and making sure that they manage, maintain, and recover patients to the finest state of health (What is Nursing, par.1). Nursing makes up a vast majority of the healthcare industry. There is a huge range of nursing specialties. Nurses work in General and surgical Hospitals, doctor’s offices, nursing care facilities, outpatient facilities, and home health services (Why Be a Nurse, par. 2). Nursing is an extremely flexible career, with one hundred and four specialties and a lot of advanced nursing degrees, so there is something for everyone in this field (Why Be a Nurse, par. 4). Nurses do much more than just help people heal physically. Nurses are there to make sure patients are taken care of physically and emotionally. There are different levels of
The career I am curious about is in the medical field, generally speaking, nursing. I have chosen to become a registered nurse because of its background, and how its characteristics require the use of creativity, problem-solving, social skills, and critical thinking. Registered nurses use various skills to diagnose and apply certain care methods to specific patients. I know that nurses aid patients with various illnesses, diseases, disabilities, and injuries. I love helping people and the feeling I receive when helping people. It would also be very motivating to learn and discover things about the human body and how to fix any problems involving it.
As time went on, so did my knowledge about obstetrics and gynecology. I was able to quickly pick up important keys into the development of the first stages of life. To add on, I identified I was strong in the area of patient care due to my recent experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). As holding a position as a CNA, I was ahead of the game in many aspects and it really helped me to understand the basic knowledge of OB
My desired career is to become an Obstetrician and gynecologist. The development of a newborn is fascinating to me, as well as the brain development and how the mother and child depend on each other for survival. As an obstetrician my job would be to make sure the mother and child stays healthy throughout the time of pregnancy, childbirth, and post childbirth. To be able to answer the anxious questions new parents have for their
As a young child, I was always drawn towards the field of health care. I remember reading about the many options that are held within it and wondering what path it would lead me on. Neonatal nursing was something that always came into my mind, but it was often pushed to the side by people and teachers who thought I should become a pediatrician instead. This became a real struggle for me, but as I grew up and began researching and exploring the health care field I came to a decision for myself. I came to the realization that everyone was wrong. I didn’t want to be a doctor at all. This sudden burst of independence from what everyone else wanted was the first step to reaching my end goal. Along with this, an accelerated education, volunteer
“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another” (Dickens). My goal in life is to help others, whether it be physically or mentally. Based on my goal I decided I could be a doctor or a psychologist. I am not infallible so even if I have good intentions someone would get hurt, if I chose to be a doctor. Therefore I chose the latter. “Psychologists study human processes and behavior by observing and interpreting how people relate to their social environments” (“Summary”). I would be in human services and my job title would be psychologist. People may think that choosing your career is as easy as choosing where to eat, but it takes a lot of careful consideration about so many factors such as environment, pay, future job markets, requirements, and simply a personal choice.
I have always had a passion for traveling, as well as people who are impoverished and do not have access to things that I and many other may take for granted, such as healthcare. My major career goal is to become a midwife and be able to visit countries where women do not have access to the best healthcare. I want to be able to assist them in their deliveries and health and make sure their those women and their babies are healthy and happy. Many women and newborns die in underdeveloped countries because of exposure to unsanitary conditions and the idea that I can save lives is a major key in my
This paper will focus on the differences and conflicts between doctors and midwifes. Doctors have been been the lead care providers for women for hundreds of years. Just short of one-hundred years ago Mary Breckinridge became the first midwife in the united states. Today there doctors and midwives have an ongoing feud. Many doctors feel as if midwives are uneducated and are not trained enough to provide health care to women, and do not agree with their more natural approach to child birth. However there conflict is slowly but surly being resolved, as many health care facilities are allowing midwives to have more authority in the work place. Secondly, this paper will go over the differences between doctors and midwives, many people are uneducated
One of the reasons I want to be an obstetrician is because I, as any other person, admire there work. I do not care how much money I will get paid because the only reason I want to be an obstetrician is because I have always admired them because they are the people who help bring new life into our world. They also delivered me, and my whole family so I should be thankful for that. If it was not for them I would not have been on this world and neither would other people and that would not be a happy world. I also admire them because at any time, and
