On the Ethics IQ Quiz, I scored a 3 out of 5 points. I do not totally agree with the score I was given for many reasons. The first reason why I do not agree with the score I received is, I believe some of the answers could have had more than one answer. I questions this quiz because I do not feel like those type of questions can determine what your IQ score is. The first question I got wrong was the question about having the flu and deciding what you should between staying home in bed, staying home and working, or going to work. I chose to stay home and work, Dr. Weinstein's answer was to stay at home in bed. The reason why I chose to stay home and work is because depending on what type of work you are doing you may still need to complete
On the fateful May day of 1846, America, under President James Polk, declared war on Mexico. By the end of the war in 1848, Mexico lost nearly almost half its territory to the United States. Do you think this was justified? Taking another’s land through 2 long years of war? Is it worth it? I believe that Polk and Congress’s decision was wrongful for the following reasons: Polk had provoked war, [American but Amerishouldn’t] and finally the United States was committing a robbery by stealing Texas.
I and two other individuals have agreed to start a business that will provide management consulting services to nonprofit organizations. Because of the increased scrutiny on actions of corporations and those who act on behalf of organizations, we have determined that it would be essential to have our ethics program developed before we start offering our services. A business as a moral agent must prove that it has an effective ethics program to protect employees, the corporation, and businesses that the company will serve. It is also important to have an ethics program to support the ethical values of our corporation and to make it clear to employees what is acceptable behavior, and to make clear what policies and standards are to be

1. When discussing stereotypes and race, it is important to recognize how insignificant skin color is. Racism itself if focused mainly on cultural states, and more times than not, whites are considered culturally superior to people of color. The treatment of African Americans and Native Americans in American culture perfectly demonstrate how oppositional dichotomies of race define racial stereotypes. Cultural dominance was set since the first settlers began to participate in the slave trade. While the black slaves looked very different than their white counterparts, it was the culture of these Africans that subjected them to discrimination. Slave owners believed their culture was superior, meaning they could

What exactly does the term “ethics” mean? When asking this question among several different groups of people, I’m sure all of their answers would be different in many ways, but would all draw the general theme that ethics is somewhat of a study of what is right and what is wrong. This is a mostly correct conclusion, except for the fact that it encompasses not only determining what is right and wrong, but attempting to systemize and defend those ethical positions which one holds. Almost all of the controversial headlines you see in the media today involve some sort of question of ethics. Abortion. Healthcare. (“Should we take money from the rich and give to the poor to pay for medical expenses?”) Gun laws. Euthanasia, etc. The topic I want

Case #4 has several key factors that must be explored before Bob makes a decision on how to proceed with this dilemma. First, as is the case with most problems, the educator needs to examine this from all angles before jumping to conclusions. The allegations must be taken seriously, but many accusations are not legitimate and often are created from frustrations concerning other issues. Second, Bob’s popularity, retirement and reputation should have no bearing on the process of reaching the truth. The educator has a moral obligation to the student and to the profession in upholding their ethical responsibility by providing a healthy and safe learning environment (Code of Ethics, n.d.).
