This man was Theodore Roosevelt telling you that he was going to resign as Assistant Secretary of the Navy and help form the 1st U.S Volunteer Cavalry to fight those rotten Spaniards down in Cuba. Being the striking young man that you are you take up his offer and head down to Texas where this new unit will be training for the harsh environment of Cuba. Training in Texas went great, you and everyone else loaded onto a train headed to Tampa Bay Florida expecting to be there in about 4 days. Just as planned you and the other members of the 1st U.S Volunteer Cavalry arrived in Tampa on time. As the good, old story goes, in 1820 Moses Austin traveled to San Antonio seeking permission from the governor to lead Anglo settlers to Texas; however, permission was denied. The City of Columbus was founded in 1828 on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. Columbus was planned and commissioned on the fall line in 1827 so the town could take advantage of the river's power. Columbus is at the head of navigation on the Chattahoochee River. This means it was possible to ride a boat from the Gulf of Mexico up the Chattahoochee to Columbus, but you could go no further due to waterfalls and rocks. In the 1850s, a bridge was built linking Phenix City, Alabama to Columbus. Georgians owned both sides of the river so competition for water power was not a problem. By 1860, Columbus had Georgia's third largest population. During the Civil War Columbus earned the reputation of "The Lowell of the South."

I grew up in san bernardino california I was born on March 10 2000.Not only did I grew up in san bernardino but also my sisters did. A Lot of people believe that san bernardino is a bad place but for me is my home. Yes there is a lot of crimes here but what city doesn't have crimes. I am originally from a small city in the middle of Florida named Ocala. It is a family friendly city locate approximately an hour away from the beach both on the East or the West side of Florida. I spent my first eight years growing up playing on the beaches, catching lizards, and going over to friend's houses. Ocala has a strong sense of Southern hospitality and the mindset that you should always help your neighbors. Growing up in this community taught me a lot about being polite to your elders, caring about everyone, to listen the first time, and how to cook some of the best cobbler ever. The legislative branch is the largest, and is made up of the state Senate and Assembly. The Assembly consists of eighty representatives, one from each county, to serve for up to three two year terms. The California Senate holds forty Senators, who are allowed a maximum of two four year terms. The Executive branch consists of the state Governor and a group of elected constitutional officers.
