Throughout the late 19th century and the 20th century, the style of modernist art was created with the approach of trying to relate their work to the rapidly changing society. For hundreds of years classical painters had the goals of creating the most realistic and life-like painting of humans, objects, and landscapes. The ideology behind this was that the best and most successful painters created the most realistic work. With the innovations and developments of cameras, it allowed artists to perfectly capture the real world. Consequently, modernist artists started to capture the feel and the emotions of the world instead of just the basic looks. This spurred many art forms such as surrealism, abstraction, impressionism, and countless others.

Fishing is a fun way for me to spend some time with my family members and just relax feeling the refreshing breeze hit my face. I enjoy going with my older brother to the lake here in Newton or Out in other towns. One time me and my brother went to a lake outside of Newton in a different town and stayed there for most of the day. We hardly caught anything but it was fun being out there with only my older brother. And the fish we did catch were all to small to take home to cook and man I wish we did catch a big one.

An endangered species is a species of either plant or animal that is in serious risk of becoming extinct. This name became connected with the Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) in 1994 after being petitioned to be put on the list for nine years (NOAA). The Atlantic Salmon is an appropriate fish to study because of it’s importance globally. It is a commonly eaten fish, and is very prevalently produced used in aquaculture techniques. In addition to that, it’s a fish that has seen a dramatic population decline globally. There are major conservation efforts concerning it, specifically on the coast of Maine. It is an anadromous fish, and typically spends 2-3 years in freshwater, then spends about 2-3 years in the ocean and then returns to it’s native river to spawn. This makes it very vulnerable to the conditions it may face in both environments.
