When I analyzed on how the Palm Beach State College registration process was being used by students and to try to reengineer the process, I realized that technology is the main focus of the registration process. Technology and job design has been incorporated into the registration process. There are numerous steps in the design of the registration process that need to be followed step by step. However, I think that there is one step in the registration process that can be added to help a current student, like me, can register for course in the Bachelors of Applied Science degree program.
Currently, automation and robotics has replaced the human to human contact for the students to register for college courses. The Palm Beach State College Website

The outline shows the sequences of the courses required after the student has earned the “Associate of Arts plus the general education courses, upper division common core courses, concentration area courses, area electives, and capstone course (http://palmbeachstate.edu).” The outline would be similar to a goal setting, as stated by Uhl-Bien, Schermerhorn, and Osborn (2014), “goal setting is the process of developing, negotiating, and formalizing the targets or objectives that a person is responsible for accomplishing (p. 112).” My degree goal is a formula of college courses that needs to be accomplished in a specific order. If I do not have the printed document course outline in front of me or have the Bachelor of Applied Science Website link open on my computer, I will not know the next course that I would have to register for the upcoming semester. I think that on the Palm Beach State College Website for “Search for Classes,” there should be section for the student to click on the choice of the college degree the student is seeking. The college does offer choices to the student to search for a course by “term, session, campus, course title, course ID/number, the instructor name, days of the week, the start time and end time for the class, alternative instructional method, and subject area (http://palmbeachstate.edu).” If there was a section below the “subject area,” maybe it can be identified as degree seeking area, then the sequence of the courses will come up for student to see which course would be the required to register for the upcoming semester. This would be the only area that I see that would be necessary, and at this time, I do not see any area that should be

This paper will discuss the Community College System as it is predicted to be known in the future. The higher education community is setting forth on a new journey into the twenty-first century. Embarking into a new millennium is a factor fueling a transformation of the educational system such as new market learners of all ages, cost effective education, customized education, and convenient education (Ryland, 2016). Although technology should not drive the direction of any college, it will be a tremendous asset toward strategic goals of the college, more specifically, assisting students in their educational endeavors (Ryland, 2016). To add to the struggle of technology in education in the future, de los Santos and Milliron (2015), suggest

Taking into account the working student, institutions have viewed the demographics of these students and established a wide variety of programs to assist the students in getting their certification or degree. Attending night school has been a trend for many years, but now institutions are also capitalizing on the internet. Establishing an online program has provided more and more working students a chance to gain the certification that their employer has required. Furthermore, educational institutions are continuing to work with businesses and financial institutions to provide financial support to the student, enabling many students the opportunity to
Four years ago, I walked onto Florida State University’s campus unaware of the trials and tribulations that lie ahead. My excitement became overpowered by the fear of starting a new journey all while attempting to find myself, my dreams and my future. As I reflect on the experiences that I have encountered through the leadership, service and international engagement areas, I have seen immiscible growth in myself as a student and a leader. The Garnet and Gold Scholar Society program has provided me with interpersonal, critical- thinking and project management skills that are necessary for post-graduation and every-day life; along with much more. With the passion, authentic leadership, humility in serving and acceptance of diversity that I have gained, I will say goodbye to these four years excited to take on the new journey’s that lie ahead.
Describing the process where credit hours earned at a community college transfers for acceptance at upper-level institutions, articulation ensures a student’s time and effort correctly awards. By meeting with transfer counselors, prospects can ascertain existing articulation agreements employed at colleges and universities of interest in addition to other requirements of consequence. Nevertheless, the pitfalls of transferring individual coursework opposed to entire curricula or specific degrees can evolve into a painful cautionary tale. Generally speaking, most students benefit by transferring an associate’s degree rather than individual courses affording far closer scrutiny. Additional or unexpected course requirements following a transfer
Individual learning plans would be created for each student. The student would also have the option of selecting a support team which would include educators, mentors, counselors, tutors, and their parents. Academic data analysis would monitor student progress to determine which instructional strategies are effective and identify interventions. Students input and feedback would be encouraged and used to improve services. Orientation would be held to inform new students and their parents about the types of educational programs and services offered. Students and parents would participate in surveys, assessments, and active discussions to determine which learning styles are best for the student. Students would be prompted to identify areas of interest and a minimum of three potential careers. Parents, students, and an educator or counselor would create a curriculum based on the student’s interest, natural abilities, and potential career

Registration procedures at colleges can often be confusing and difficult for those who have never had to face long lines and great disappointment. I remember the first time I had to register for classes at a major university, for I had no idea of the task that awaited me, a freshman student. After I finished the orientation session which was held the day prior to registration. I had never tried to register for college classes, however, the registrar told me that it would not be difficult. After I had a wonderful dinner with sever of my newly-found friends in the dorm, I decided to get a good night's sleep. My roommate and I arising at 7:00 a.m. to the sound of birds, yelling students, and car engines. We took our showers, then we started toward
