This term paper is about Augmented Reality which is a sort of application of computer vision. Computer vision is that sort of branch which gives capacity to the computer to interact visually with real environment. Augmented reality is the technique of today’s world which interact the real world around us with virtual objects but these objects have some significance in real world. The field of Augmented reality have been introduced various years ago but its growth is done and is being done in last few years and this recent year progress is remarkable.
This project work is done on this field. This field is increasing day by day. In this paper the concept of augmented reality is explained which deals with the intermixing of 3-d virtual objects with 3-d real environment in real time. This concept of augmented reality includes the definition of mixed

The characteristics of augmented reality are also explained. This also contains the comparison between the augmented reality and virtual reality. Augmented reality includes both virtual objects and real environment and virtual reality includes the concept of only virtual things. The model of Paul Milgram and Fumio Kishino is also described named milgram’s reality- virtuality continuum which includes the concept of mixed reality.
INTRODUCTION
As we know increase in our technology has an great effect on our life and as well as on our surroundings. Computer vision is new upcoming branch which deal which gives capability to the computer to get visually interacts with our environment. Computer vision has various kind of applications like agriculture, autonomous vehicles, biometrics, character recognisation and many more. Augmented reality is one of its application. Augmented Reality(AR) is one of the recent technology which has been emerge in our life and is
Virtual reality systems are used for simulating different real life situations on the computer which looks approximately same as the real world. In these tools, user need to wear some special cloths which has sensors attached, these sensors observe and record all the activities and responses of the user. These tools are very useful in training of many technologies like in pilot training of Boeing dreamliner, or some new technology etc.
Digital Photography has become one of the most simplified and effective way of capturing and using the images. Digital images are very high in quality and also with the ease of viewing, editing and transferring it to any computers or mobile devices making it a very cost effective way of managing the images (Kornhaber, Betihavas, & Baber, 2015).
2. Search the web and find three augmented reality developments other than Google Glass. Describe them and explain what technologies these developments are based on. (5 marks)
This paper will analyze virtual reality to explain what VR is and any drawbacks it may have, how and how much it is being used in education currently, how it is benefiting disabled learners, who are able to have access to it, and what a future with VR may look like.
When it comes to augmented reality, we're looking at something that has found more success in the consumer space when compared to virtual reality. We've seen several applications with AR, along with video game and hardware devices such
2a. This computing innovation isn't just any other type of camera there is in the world. Sure there are many types of cameras that take the most high quality photos ever. But can any of those cameras be applied to your head so you can take it on the go? Well that's what the GoPro is here for. Now you can do a lot of things like hiking, surfing, or even sky diving. You can do all those things and record them to have a photographic memory. All you have to do is simply apply it to your head and do whatever you want while the GoPro records your actions. It is the most convenient invention.
Virtual-reality also poses a significant threat/opportunity towards us within the creative industry, especially us who use audio and video. The eyes and ears translate what I create. Films are good at immersing people into created universes and stories. However, VR, Interaction, and sensory feelings like touch and smell may be included in the standard formula for immersive entertainment.
* A virtual world that appears real to any observer, seen through an HMD and augmented through three-dimensional sound and tactile stimuli
Abstract: In this paper, heart sound signal is obtained from stethoscope and converted in to a wave pattern using phonocardiograph (PCG). Various cardiac sound signal wave patterns obtained from PCG may have normal and abnormal sound signals. Abnormal sound signals are called heart murmurs. These sound signal wave patterns are to be made available in the form JPEG image which is in detecting heart abnormalities. Augmented Reality(AR) is an emerging technology in which one’s perception of the real-time environment is enhanced by superimposing computer-generated information such as graphical, textual, audio content, and objects onto a display screen. The proposed application is an android mobile based application which will be compatible with all the existing and upcoming versions of the operating system. This technique helps the user to view the virtual object in the real world
(96) Virtual reality (VR) is define as a cybernetic simulation of 3D surroundings which can be interactive through auditory, sensory and visually stimulating equipment, i.e. gloves, headgear or headphones. VR is an incredibly recent development in technology and such has much room to progress with, I believe that VR is the future of animation as the key aim is to transport the viewer into the world we have created, VR being the next logical step as it creates this suspension of belief as well as activating all of the senses we use to perceive the real world.
It is now a familiar, but true, cliché to observe that the power and capability of computing machinery is increasing at a tremendous rate. In addition, a wide variety of techniques for producing more convincing VR are currently being researched. It is reasonable to expect, therefore, that in this crucial respect VR
Next, Virtual Reality might be a powerful and sophisticated tool for education in which it can enhances students understanding towards certain subjects. Virtual Reality’s application in education is greatly interactive computer based environment in
What does “augmented reality” means? AR is the acronym for augmented reality. A rough definition of augmented is to maximize or change to a higher extent. Augmented reality, which is a type of virtual reality, basically means that the real-world environments are duplicated in a computer. A combination of reality and virtual scenes, created a composited view for the end-user which are generated by the computer. The computer with augmented reality system augments the real-world view or scene with additional information. The design of the virtual scene created by the computer is to improve the sensory perception of the user of the virtual world that they are interacting with or seeing. A system in which a user cannot
Seeing is believing, these words are the best combination to understand the meaning of Virtual Reality (VR). VR is one of the best asset and aspect of our future. No other technology has seen such a revolution like VR has. It is practically in use in almost every field such as entertainment, gaming, defense, robotics, medical, healthcare, military, education, fashion, heritage, business, engineering and many more fields. VR sometimes called Virtual Environment has drawn much attention in the last two decade. Extensive media coverage causes the much more rapid increase in the interest of the masses. Very few people, however, really know what VR is and what are its open problems are. In this report a historical overview of virtual reality is presented, basic terminology as an introduction are listed, followed by applications of this technology in science, work, and entertainment areas. Its present developments are thoroughly discussed in this report. Finally, the future of VR is considered in two aspects: technological and social. New research directions, technological frontiers and potential applications are pointed out. The possible positive and negative influence of VR on life of average people is speculated.
In marker-less augmented reality the image is gathered from the internet and displayed on a particular location (gathered using GPS). The application doesn’t require a marker to display the content. It is more interactive than marker based augmentation.
