Hello my fellow students. In order to become famous at soccer you have to be active. As Pele once stated “ success is no accident. It is hard work and perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all love of what you are doing or learning to do.”Pele and his family were poor, they couldn’t afford to buy young Pele a soccer ball so they stuffed a sock for him to play with. He often skipped school to play soccer. After 4th grade he dropped out, He started shining shoes and roasted peanuts for a little bit of money. That still didn’t stop him from playing soccer, he still found a way to play soccer and even made his own team with his friends. An example, how do you think Pelé became the best player in the world as well
still got more of the attention because he was amazing at football. Lastly at the end
Soccer is a popular sport played all over the world. Even though it has only been popular in the United States for the past 30 years, soccer has been a long time favorite most everywhere else. The sport dates back to the Egyptians, who played games involving the kicking of a ball. Now, the sport has grown to a global pastime, including men’s and women’s teams, and the World Cup (which is played every four years).
Pele had just scored his first of many goals at the World Cup, at just seventeen. No one, when they first saw him entering that Swedish field, thought he would become one of the greatest soccer players the world would have ever known. Pele-Why Soccer Matters was written by Pele himself, long after his soccer career was over. Brian Winters helped organize the book. Pele, with
It was a cold day in November: an icy breeze blowing across a green soccer pitch in Jackson, Mississippi. Fans along the sideline cheering on the Jackson Elite FC. I took the field feeling the pressure of gameday bearing down like i had weights on my shoulders. This was the first time I had every started as a forward in a soccer game. The referee brings the ball to midfield and sets it down. I hear my parents cheering from the sidelines. The opposing team kicks off and the game is on.
But you may be surprised to know that in America, “More than three million boys under age 18 play organized soccer in the U.S., but we have never produced a critical mass of elite performers to compete on equal terms with the world’s best” (Michael Sokolove 24). Soccer players in America don’t have the demographic luck like some other players in different countries do. Going back to Messi and his family, they show how much a young boy’s family contributes to his soccer career. They had picked up everything and moved to a new country just so young Messi could continue his treatment and train with a national club team. A proud family of 20-month-old Bryce Brites showed his dribbling and kicking skills and attracted Belgian club
There once was a great hero named Jason he was better than anyone else at soccer. Jason every day after school would go to the park and practice soccer tell it was dark out. Day after day Jason would go to the park and play soccer with his friend Jake. They would practice after school and during summer until freshman Year of high school. Jason and Jake went to tryouts for soccer their freshman year and got placed on varsity they had thought that all their practice had payed off. Game after game, Jason was the MVP of the games always scoring the most, being a team player, and being able to play all positions when needed. Everyone in school thought that he had it all he was smart, strong, and he was a varsity soccer player.
For example, look at Michael Jordan you might think he was the best, but for once he never started. During his years of high school, Michael Jordan was consider one of the worst players. Michael Jordan did not let that drag him down instead he let that motivated him. He practise and practise shooting the same shoot over and over into he mastered it. Nothing was going to stop M.J. from becoming the
Pele’ The Brazilian Futbol Legend also known as O Rei (The King) and Perola Negra (Black Pearl). Those are his nicknames in Spanish. Pele’ wasn’t named Pele’ his real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento. Edson from Thomas Edison. Pele’ was born 1940 October 23. Pele lived in a little town called Tres’ Coracoes. From the minute I started kicking in my mother’s stomach my father made it his mission to teach me soccer. Three year old me would be kicking soccer balls like my life depended on it. Later in life at age 8 I started playing on teams. We went from being the worst in the league to champions twice in a row. Being champions can really get in someone’s head, and suddenly you think your skills are superior to those of people around you.
Who is the best player in the soccer forever? There are many great player throughout the history of soccer. However, no one like Pele. Pele has a great history in soccer. His history biggest than any player in the soccer history whether they are retired or still playing. In my perspective, Pele is the greatest player of soccer forever for several reasons: from difficult childhood to a great star, he scored goals more than any player else throughout the history of soccer and he won three FIFA World so, the only player ever to do this achievement.
How can one man stop a war? Pele can and did just that in 1969 (Buckley 76). Pele is a “God” of soccer. He had a war held at ceasefire so his fans could be able to watch and adore the him. He reached up from nothing to become, uncontestedly, the best player in the world. Pele is a legend, a hard working even at a young age, and compassionate on the field and off the field.
When you think about basketball, there are multiple teams, plays, and players that come to mind. Michael Jordan is one of the players every person knows and has respect for. He is a legend of this game and has changed the game of basketball forever. He is considered to be the best basketball player of all time but not just because of the numbers he put up on the board or how many games his teams won. Michael Jordan has impacted society because of the kind of person he was, on and off the basketball court, the heart and dedication he had to the game of basketball and his teammates and the way he persevered, no matter what obstacles that were thrown in his way. He was determined to be the best he could be and that is why he was so successful and influential.
To make it far in any sport takes determination and hard work. Soccer takes even more than most other sports. To excel in soccer one must work extremely hard as they are competing with around 4% of the world. Learning to work hard is not easy, it takes years of discipline to fully fathom the idea of hard work. These ideas have been drilled into my brain at every practice, game, or soccer related function I have attended over the years. I can recall the time where my coach made my team run 4 miles in one practice. Each time we failed to complete a lap he would make us run another mile. At the time I was exhausted and a little bit pissed off. However, as the years have gone by I frequently look back on this experience and embrace it with gratitude. My coach taught me not to quit on something I had started. He taught the definition of hard work and discipline. For that, I am forever
