Those who abuse this opportunity end up broken and lost and they never find their true self’s till they have lost everything they ever thought they had.

She seems so different she even changed the way she looks, the way she walks, and talks. I am happy for her that she has made a lot of new friends and became popular, but in all of the wrong ways and I’m afraid that she is going to lose herself.
Emma talks to me about once a week and I’ve noticed a lot, she has definitely changed. She is talking different, she is so wrapped up in herself, always asking if she looks good, she’s cares way too much about what people are thinking of her and it has become an obsession. She has never cared about anything about her appearance or what people thought of her, and I always admired that about her, because even if she didn’t care she was still beautiful.
Emma talks differently to me than other people, when she’s talking to me it’s always in a rushed tone, like she’s late and doesn’t have time. But taking to other people she acts clueless, like she uneducated about certain things with certain people. She has changed herself for other people, in a horrible way. I feel that she is scared and this is her only line of defense. I felt

I agree with her mom. She does need to get over her shyness. The only real problem with this is that she needs to find a new way of getting over her shyness. She has a way the she think works for her already but unfortunately it is through alcoholism. This is a crucial point in her life where she could make a change in her habits and lifestyle to stop the inevitable barrel roll downhill that is soon to happen.
She stays true to herself throughout the majority of the book. Mica High is stunned by her resilience. They see how thoughtful and kind she is, and how no matter what they say, she’s still herself. They didn’t like her originality. They felt threatened by someone so different from what they were used to.
Sam from before i fall is insecure about many things about herself. “Tomorrow I will be different” (56 Oliver). She always wants to change and she always thinks that tomorrow she will change in a big way. She wants to change overnight and have people look at her differently from what they do. She also thinks that it is more important to care what others think rather than what she thinks about herself. “She would think I was crazy” (89 Oliver). She thinks if she tells people what she is thinking that they will not like her and that she is crazy for thinking that way. She also wants people to like her and she doesn’t want her friends to leave her because she is different.

She is very smart and loving. She cares about people and it just reminds me of
Emma centers her time towards what she excels at the most which includes dance, theater, and her academics. When Emma is not busy with her activities and academics she likes to watch Friends, snuggle with her cats, and eat Sour Patch Kids. Her two biggest pet peeves are when she can hear someone chewing and when people do not care about their academics. Other things that she does not like include Workout Wednesday, tomatoes, and chalk. I am so glad that I was able to learn so much about Emma over the past four
When I had first met Emma, she seemed to be perfectly normal. I was very skeptical that Emma needed to be admitted to the hospital because she didn’t have that many abnormal qualities. I proved myself wrong when her mother
I’m sure most of you know who I am, and I feel very honored that I was asked to speak on her behalf. Emma and I have been friends for a very long time and I thought I would start by telling the story of Emma’s life. She was born on April 3, 2001, here in Carroll. In her younger years she was temperamental, and had some great stories to prove it. She screamed like she was getting murdered because her mother wouldn’t buy her a baby doll. She cried for a five hour car ride because she received the wrong kind of hash browns. I think all these moments just made her family love her more and set the level of her sassiness for her future.
