Double the H, Double the Quality Looking back on my life I can honestly, I had rough. Growing up with an abusive father and an alcoholic mother wasn't the best; but what can I say Allison Kristen Wright and Thomas Joe Wright had one hell of a daughter about 35 years ago. Standing a spectacular five feet tall, 120 pounds I am one feisty woman. Although a fan of the pants suit, one might see me in m signature black dress and heels. Black is my favorite color because it compliments my blue eyes and bold attitude. Through the seasons I stick to this style, even when my pale white skin turns to the average tomato red. I remember in school I used to get bullied for my fair skin, which is one of the many reasons I graduated from high school early and applied to Bucknell University as soon as possible. After applying and getting in I packed my bags asap.In ____ I graduated from Bucknell with a degree in Business. I later got my graduates degree in business through Duke University in North Carolina. After getting my graduates I returned home to Scranton, Pennsylvania. When I returned back to my parents home I soon learned that my father was in jail and my mother was in rehab. Our house had been repossessed and the 15 cats we owned, all were dead. This saddened me because I knew I should've helped them, but at the …show more content…
“How are we going to keep the terrorists out?” Here’s the thing, with mainstream social media these days there is no true answer to this question. I believe that with the internet, terrorists are going to always find a way in. I do not believe or agree in the patriot act in which, people are monitored but I do believe that the government should have a way in which to minimize the amount of propaganda of terrorists groups or websites that give on insight on how to do morbid things. I will impact this by suggesting a patriot act 2.0 in which monitors only websites which suggest
Growing up with a father in the military, you move around a lot more than you would like to. I was born just east of St. Louis in a city called Shiloh in Illinois. When I was two years old my dad got the assignment to move to Hawaii. We spent seven great years in Hawaii, we had one of the greatest churches I have ever been to name New Hope. New Hope was a lot like Olivet's atmosphere, the people were always friendly and there always something to keep someone busy. I used to dance at church, I did hip-hop and interpretive dance, but you could never tell that from the way I look now.
In the year 2015, with new technology and social media citizens of Americans can see terrorist acts on a daily basis. They feel as if the Patriot Act doesn’t work and they think that it doesn 't need to be used anymore. They believe it is an invasion of privacy. However, we need this act for our protection. For example, the group ISIS in Iraq and Syria, is a terrorist group. They have plotted schemes to attack the US. This Patriot Act has caught many people trying to get to ISIS as well. The US has a population of about 319 million. 365 days a year the government is scanning phone calls, text messages and social media in order to catch possible terrorist attacks. Before the Patriot Act this would not be possible. In 2011 President Barack Obama signed to extend the Patriot Act. That year 42% of the politicians said that the act was a necessary tool ( PewResearchCenter Public Remains Divided Over the Patriot act (pewresearch) 15, February 2011 13,May 2015). Overall the Patriot Act is still necessary for the world we live in.
I, Deputy Gough received a call reference a white Ford truck driving in the Gamester trailer court all over the roadway. Upon my arrival I spoke with David Vore and Jennifer Vore. Jennifer Stated that Randy was the driver of the white Ford truck that said, “All Good Construction.” David and Jennifer both stated that they saw the truck drive through the yard hitting a slow child at play sign and the stop sign.
Over my years of school, one big influence on me has always been sports. Ever since a young age, I have always enjoyed playing and watching sports. In my four years in high school, I have fell in love with the sport of lacrosse.
I woke up and took one bite out of my pop tart but that one bite was all I could eat. My legs were shaking, and my heart was pounding. My dad told me, “It is a true honor to even make it this far so go out there and have some fun.” Once I heard this statement, I knew I was ready to go. I arrived at school and boarded the bus. The car ride was an hour and fifteen minutes of hearing the squeaking of the wheel on the bus. My teammates were getting their heads ready for the big game.
Of course the norm for me is that of any citizen living in zone three.
After Dallas had convinced everyone else that going to the bar and getting shit-faced was a good idea. She was forced to go as well. Seeing as how she was practically their baby sitters. Darry stayed behind with Johnny and Pony, not wanting them to go. While she was stuck with Dally, Steve, Two-Bit, and Soda. And she as the designated driver. They all looked old enough to be drinking, even though they weren't, so they got to go into the bar.
You know that moment when you’re trying to reach the toilet paper but can't quite, then fall and kill yourself on a pumpkin? Yeah I know that feeling… it’s not good. It all started one very normalish day at 1065 Fitzgerald Ave.
Walking away from everything you once knew and starting over is never a picnic. Leaving Iraq, and moving to America has impacted my life more than anything. I was only 4 years old at that time, and the only English I spoke was “excuse me, water please.” My family and I did not know it then, but our lives were going to change; we would become “Americanized”. Learning English was one of the massive changes that occurred, the way I dressed (culture), and even the way I had power to go to school and educate myself.
Throughout the conversation, Susan did not inform me that the home was still in First Look and not open to investors at this time. Susan did not highlight any features of the home, nor did she talk about the neighborhood or the surrounding area. When asked, Susan paused to reference the property file and stated, "In looking at the pictures it appears that it needs interior paint, carpet, appliances, and a few windows, which the previous seller must have taken." She stated, "I don't know why they have to remove things from the homes." I asked, "Do you have offers?" She paused to check the property file and answered, "No offers." I asked, "Is the property behind the home farmland?" She paused to reference the property file and replied, "It appears
I’m fairly new to the adult romance genre, and after reading a few that I adored I got a blogger friend of mine to give me some recommendations. On her list of recommendations for romances that are more rom-com was Melissa Foster’s The Real Thing. This was my first Melissa Foster book and I absolutely loved it! I’m so glad I decided to pick up this one as one of my first picks. he Real Thing takes place in a small town called Sugar Lake and features Zane and Willow who have a somewhat complicated history. I loved that they technically started out as friends and kept in touch all those years before getting together as it just made their chemistry and relationship all the more steamier and swoonier. And while the fake relationship trope was used
The best S.T.A.R. moment had to be a couple weeks ago. In my therapy classes that I am attending. It a group dedicated to soldiers with issues, depression, and PTSD. A staff Sergeant veteran name James Terrell was missing a limb. He begins by telling us that he is proud of us. I am sitting there thinking this man missing limbs. That he is happy that we are going to get the help we need. He goes into the actual events and detail on how he is missing a limb. He was so happy just to be alive. It really resonated with me and I began to become emotional. This man has to change the way he lives but he ok cause he can live. I love how he was grateful and he had a great sense of humor. He left us saying "Now he can get his shoes half. " It didn't
I plan to improve this disposition by having boundaries and limits. It does not matter if the client shares the same cultural beliefs from me, I have a lot of compassion and go an extra mile to help them. I get attach with clients right away because I see a connection with them. I have noticed that clients take advantage of my empathy. I need to work on how to understand my clients but also have limits with them so they will not take advantage of my kindness.
Every month we see in the news a new story on how terrorists are using social media platforms to recruit and radicalize our youth, in fact we see this same type of story so often it leads us to wonder whether or not this is just over exaggeration, or is there truly a horrifying ring of truth to them. We cannot help but wonder if the same programs we use almost religiously every day are in fact being used as a tool for terrorists. A number of newspapers and news organization have looked into this and concluded three main things. First, terrorists have infiltrated our perceived safeguards on social media, second terrorists have shown that they try to recruit people through the use of social media, and lastly, that terrorists have made themselves
In 2016, Travis Mattila made an online threat to the Ely School District claiming he was going to take children hostage, bomb Ely Memorial High School, and assassinate president Obama. Instances like this is what makes it important to put monitoring on the internet for specific topics, and put action immediately to prevent people from getting hurt and put into danger. The government should monitor the internet for signs of terrorist activity. The government preferably should look onto social media for signs and threats of terrorism with hope of reducing it.
