So i been getting into trouble and getting detention for hanging out with wrong friends so it been over a year and i remember going into my classroom and the teacher told me that she is going to call my parents for a meeting to discuss about my grade so i told her crying “No please don’t” but she still did
So the next day my parents came to school. And the teacher told my parents that Jacob needs to starts doing work or he wouldn’t be able to pass 5th grade so my parents was so disappointed of me and couldn’t believe that this was happening .
Looking through this thread so far, pretty much last as usual thanks to my writing style, I was surprised to see there are no fellow procrastinators in the class. This is a stark contrast from my recently departed high school class. We would all get rubrics and prompts at least a week in advance and we would all begin our assignments on the same day: the day before the assignment is due. Sometimes it was utter chaos in the library in the morning of or the lunch period right before. Sometimes others would forgo the whole early or late ordeal and have no paper to turn in at all. We were young, we were wild, we were all so very stupid. But then again this is college, this is a different animal, and many have seen the error of their ways and chosen
The sun has risen and a young boy jumps out of bed with excitement, as he knows today he gets to go to his first professional baseball game. His father had bought him the tickets for his birthday months ago, and the boy had been counting down the days ever since. He put on his favorite ‘Cleveland Indians’ shirt, and ran downstairs to eat his yogurt and waffles for breakfast. As he ate, his mother saw him happily drawing Jacob’s Field, using his brown crayon to put the finishing touches on the base paths. The boy had a penchant attitude for baseball, as it was the first game his father ever taught him to play, and because of that, he would play whenever he could; with rocks and a stick, with his friends in the yard, and in his head when he
When I first started thinking about college schools I never thought about going to MSU or Ole Miss. I wanted to go to the bigger universities, but I knew I wouldn’t do well if I went there my first year. My high school did not prepare me enough for University, and I hadn’t decided on a major either. I choose East Central Community College (ECCC) as the school I would go to for many reasons, and when I got here I knew I made the right choice.
So this is where my story takes off. It was just a normal fall day in November of 2011. I woke up ate cereal and said bye to my dad not knowing I would never see him again. I rode my bike to school with Zack. He wasn’t just any friend, he was my best friend we hung out every day we did everything together. Back to what I was saying it was just a regular day going to school at the end of the day my principle called my teacher and said that I was too come to the
I don’t believe what just happened! I just can’t! I won’t! I never knew that he could pull off a stunt as crazy as that! Landon Ashby, my friend, was basically on the verge of insanity . . . just because of me! I mean, what I said couldn’t do that to a person, right? You are probably wondering what I said to get into this dilemma. I guess, diary, I will now tell you what happened because you seem hungry for details of the incident. But first, you must promise not to tell anyone, OK?
At a school in Texas called Hickory Hills middle school in 1999.It was a normal day for Timothy John he was stealing a nerds lunch.
While attending Judson High School in the beginning of my senior year, our advisory teacher Mrs. Evans
The first time that Sean and I met was in the 7th grade at Washington Middle School. Sean was the new kid at school at the time, and when you're the new kid the teacher introduces you to the entire class. The teacher also wanted someone to give Sean a tour of the school, so she wanted to see who already knew him. I didn't know him yet, but when she asked who did I yelled out "I do!" She turned to Sean and asked if he knew me, he said yes even though he knew he didn't. As I was giving him a tour of the school he asked if I actually knew him. I told him no, I just wanted to get out of class. And that was the beginning to our
HIgh school has always been easy for me, and probably for the majority of people that have been through the school system in America. 20 years ago there wasn’t a such thing as a program like northland CAPS for high schoolers. Also 20 years ago you didn’t need a college degree to pursue most careers. For me I’ve always been a procrastinator, even the application I submitted to northland caps was late. I’ve always been comfortable talking in front of large crowds and I’ve always been comfortable with myself. However, I was tired of the traditional classroom as well. The repetivness of being in highschool learning the same material has the juniors did before you. I wanted to try something different my junior year, and I knew that there wouldn’t be very many juniors in this program making it a bigger challenge for me.
I had finally had enough of Anna, so i told my mom and dad what had been going on, mom said “well im proud of you and jessica for being the bigger person about all of this mess, so i will talk to your principal tomorrow morning”. I was having a normal day no jessica problems in matter in fact i have not seen her all day until… They called me down to the office as if i was in trouble, but really is was my dad picking me up for the day, because my mom had died. I was too worried about Anna, that i didn't even realize that my
At Quickstart before freshman year I had a panic attack before I even entered the building. I saw how big the school was and I became extremely nervous about starting school. There was so much pressure to make the next four years, the best four years. Also, none of my friends were attending Lane with me and I did not know how to make new friends. Upon entering the building on the first day I got lost a couple of times but I made a couple of friends and lasting impression on my teachers.
One day I woke up and saw trees all around me. I see that my feet were in my house and my body was on my neighbors cars. When I saw that I was a giant I thought it was a dream. I pinched myself and I realized it wasn’t a dream. Some how my clothes grew to fit my body. I stood up and started walking down the street.
Jacob is a student that I have enjoyed having in class and seeing him grow in his writing has been a true reward. When Jacob wrote his first writing sample he stopped writing after about 5 minutes and was stuck on what to write next. I believe that part of it had to do with the fact that we had not talked about too many body systems. For their first writing sample I wanted to get a feel of where they were in regards to wrting. His writing sample consisted of one long sentece with a single period at the end. Jacob also wrote in “I” statements instead of creating his own superhero. This wasn’t surrising since at this grade level they are still accostumed to writing about themselves. He did write about three superheros and their strength, but did not reltate them to any
I never realized how much my Uncle jake meant to me and my family till August 17, 2017.
This is my last week at my site and it has been a great experience that has allowed me to grow and has given me the opportunity to learn skills specific to my school that I will be working at next year. This makes me feel confident in preparing for next year. On the other hand, I was reflecting on all of the things that I have to do to prep for next year over the summer because I want to make sure I hit the ground running when the students return to school. Thinking about all of those things makes it seem a little daunting, but I know I will take it all in stride. One way I am overcoming this overwhelming feeling is by focusing on one item at a time and completing that task and then it is crossed off. For instance, I have created my digital
