Jaden Ockert Mrs. Kuehlke Writing Workshop November 2017 Title? He’s dead. I can’t believe it. How could this happen, why him why me. How could I live my self-knowing someone had killed my best friend and I couldn't do anything about it. When Will’s parents told me, I went straight down on the floor crying and couldn’t stop. The Police said they are on the case but it’s not definite. The only evidence was a swiss army knife with Will’s blood on it. I decided that the only thing that I could do is find the killer. I first want to start off with suspects. It was hard because Will didn't talk to many people or have many friends. He did have some school bullies so I'll start off with them. I was so determined to find the killer that at home …show more content…
Ocean was named Ocean because her eyes were so blue that they looked like the ocean. I never liked Nathan very much I don’t know why I just didn't. He gave me the heeby-jeebies. Will would like to do things like going to the arcade with them, he liked to go the movies or do homework with them. I never like to hang out a lot with them because they always did the same things. I wanted to try new thing and do new things. Nathan always gave me a funny feeling. He would always try to steal Will away from me and keep secrets from me but I ignored it. But now those secrets can give me some clues to why Will was killed. I called Ocean and Nathan to meet at my house at 4:00 to discuss what happened to Will. Ocean came to my house at 3:50. As we were waiting on Nathan I was trying to make some conversation with Ocean while we were waiting on Nathan. “I wonder when Nathan is gonna get here?” I said. “Well, I did come early. Besides Nathan is late to almost everything.” Ocean said sounding annoyed. Nathan rang the doorbell at 4:15 exactly. Ocean and I jogged over to the door and opened it. We both said hello to him as he stepped inside. He sat down on the couch with a grunt. He said; “ What do you want to talk about?” “Well, I just wanted to talk about what happened to Will. If you know any secrets about him that could potentially lead us to the killer?” “NO. What am I doing here? This is a complete and utter waste of my time.”
Cozy coffee shops, warm summers, friendly hugs…1.2.3. Disastrous events occur all the time. We are always aware that someone, somewhere in the world, is hurtling forwards into tragedy. Tragic endings leave behind unanswered questions, unfulfilled dreams, unspoken thoughts. Those who love you are left behind, in the dust of your presence, spent to forever remember only your memory, not your existence. Crisp slices of toast, piping hot cups of tea, fresh strawberries…1.2.3. We all tend to forget an end exists. We spend our lives compiling as many happy memories as we can, fully enjoying the good days, deeply mourning the sad ones. When tragedy strikes, only then are we reminded that the end is there, and we scurry and try once again to make the most out of
“I don’t know. Tabitha took off with him a few hours before you guys showed up.”
Archetype One At first it may seem like an obvious choice for Will’s character archetype would be the Explorer, but in reality, his traits align more solidly with The Rebel. Rebels see something flawed in their world and try to change it, Will sees that he is staying Inside and is not like other people, and so he goes Outside. While their primary goal is to fix what’s broken with big ideas and their ability to corral others as followers, much like Will did to Jonah, the Rebel’s weakness surround their fear of powerlessness and they often take their rebellion too far, venturing into a place of trying to prove themselves to others.
In the beginning, Will takes the beating, and lays low. However, after the death of his brother, Sam, and his drunken father’s arrest, he ends up staying with his mother. He turns cold, as if his body was there, but not his mind. Will was an outsider, he had no one to turn to. Because of this label, it resulted to violence.
The salt filled the air while sand was in my hair. The waves were splashing, washing away everything in its path. My aunt, sister, and I all went into the water but wait we forgot one thing, Tony! Tony has never liked anything dealing with water he despises it. This was going to be his very first time swimming in the ocean. Since, he wouldn’t get in on his own, we had to carry him in ourselves. In Tony went in with his little neon yellow life jacket. He started swimming with his little paws and paddled toward the sand. After a while my aunt got tired so she got out of the cold ocean water and took Tony with

Our group was small. It consisted of Amie, William, and two other girls named Roly and Veronica. One by one, our cars pulled into the aquarium parking lot to find a space suitable for our wheels. Once done, we came together in front of the deep blue building. "Ready?" Alysha asked, throwing her blonde hair behind her as we started into the building. The two girls Roly and Veronica walked close together, sharing whispers and light giggles. Best
The 21st century is assumed to be the safest period in the human history. The science of medicine has been vastly improving, resulting in numerous solutions to avoid decease effectively, we have not experienced an anguish of war, we do not die prematurely either. Accordingly, we are living longer but there is something, something so essential we tend to forget about, its obviousness that we’ve become untouched and emotionless in the matters of it. We have become murders of our own life giving source- the Earth.
Who kidnapped Will? Did he run away? Is he playing another game of hiding go seek?! No one knows, or who may ever know. Except all three
Sticking two black button eyes on our snowman, I turned and gave Charlie a high-five. "Finished!" I said. "And there's not a finer snowman in the whole neighborhood." But Charlie wasn't looking at me. He was staring at the snowman, his face almost as white.
I stood up and walked slowly into the middle of the graveyard. I could feel all the stares on me and spoke,”Last night I was in my room studying for an upcoming test. I had no knowledge of the murder until now.”
School ended an hour ago and I am still on the bus texting my friends. "Come over at 4:45. We are going to play a game, bring flashlights"-Jaemin. When I finally get home I go straight to my room and grab all my flashlights and my watch. A few minutes later Oscar shows up and Eliot got a ride with Rob. That leaves Leyton and John, they are always late. 4:46 and Leyton gave John a ride so then we get inside and go to the kitchen and make some popcorn. When I walked in and I hear the TV on. I wonder who turned it on and thought that something was recording and I turned it off.
We started our day off with having friends over at Ryan’s house we ordered pizzas played video games and listened to music. As a couple hours passed by we decided that we needed to be in some water but nobody wanted to drive to the beach. Greg thought of going to a nearby pool where there was no security and hop the fence. So we called up a couple of our friends and had squad trip at the pool. At this moment it is about 12 o’clock and Ryan gets a call from his mom saying that the school called.
The air was nice. Just the perfect breeze that made you stop and take it in. As I did that I focused on what was happening... There was water springing up from the ground, covering the surface completely. I was watching carefully making sure this wasn’t another illusion. I reached for Ames arm and she met me there grabbing a tight hold as she whispered in a shaky voice “Elle what’s going on?” “ … ”, I replied. I usually, no I always have an answer for everything... whether it’s right, wrong, offensive, etc. But this time I had nothing. Not a word escaped my tongue and not a thought appeared in my mind.
She finally gave in but a while later she knew she shouldn't have. They were past the buoy so far they couldn't see the shore. Suddenly I looked out into the blue, crystal water and I looked around in the big ocean. But as I kept looking around no dad or Sophie in sight. As they were swimming further and further after the turtle they got further and further away from shore. They close to these big rocks and
