My Top Five Majors My very first choice is elementary education. I chose elementary education, because I love working with children, and I have had the opportunity to work with them as a teacher’s aide giving me the enjoyable insight of what it’s like to teach. My second choice would be to major in history where I could then teach a history class. I have always thoroughly enjoyed learning about the people of the past, so having a job where all I did was teach history would fulfill my passion. The third choice on my list was a nurse. I chose a nurse, because my Grandma was a nurse and so many people tell me how she was the heart of our hospital, and I would love to try and live up to half of the legacy she left behind. My fourth choice was
I wanted to become a teacher because I enjoy serving others, and as a lawyer I have the gift of talking too much. Teaching is so rewarding and gives me a sense that I am making the world a better place one student at a time. I feel proud of my students that always remember me as their teacher, even when they are in college, they pass by the school to see me or if they meet me on the street or any other location, they approach me and show gratitude and that is priceless!
Since childhood I have been faced with obstacles concerning college. Not one person within my household, or immediate family, has attended college. Unfortunately, some didn't even finish high school. However, I am determined to follow my dreams and make something of myself. Before I stress about how to be accepted into a college, I must first pick a college. This is where my problem lies. My top two choices are the University of Arizona and Syracuse University. Both of these are great schools. Sadly, I must choose one. The University of Arizona and Syracuse University both offer wonderful programs for students seeking higher education. However, I must decide which school is fine-tuned to fit the needs and requirements that
Certainly by now, you know my name. However, I prefer to go by Mia. I have been a student at SBVC since fall of 2013. I know... it seems like a long time. The reason for that is I am a double major. In Spring of 2018 I will be graduating with my Associate's degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. I work extremely hard on my educational career goals. For example, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and am an honor student. I currently work on-call for a local school district and enjoy every minute of it. I am also a creative writer, which I haven't had much time to do lately, but plan to get back to it as time allows. In fact, one of my newest ventures is marketing in the digital economy, so my creative writing will definitely get
I choose to be a middle school teacher. What I like about teaching is I can help kids and help them learn how to kinda mature. I also always had a passion for teaching.
My first choice major was Medical Laboratory Science, the medical science track. Not only did I applied to the medical science track, but I also applied to the certification track. The medical science track is what I hoped to get admitted into. The medical science track is competitive but not as competitive as the certification track because the medical science track has no maximum enrollment unlike the certification track. Although the minimum GPA is a 2.50, the average GPA for the 2016 admitted class was 3.34. The prerequisites for this major include: Chemistry 1210, 1220, 2510, Biology 1113, Statistics 1450, Math 1150, Microbiology 4000, Biochemistry 4511, and Molecular genetics 4500. Unfortunately, because I was not doing so well in the
I majored in finance for both my bachelor and master degree. I am not so interest in my major, but I think it will be easier for me to find a job with a finance degree. The main reason for me to come to Tulane is that Tulane has a high reputation in Finance, and I want to be more professional when I finish my study here. I will go back to China after graduation and find a job in the investment apartment in a local
Better yet a teacher that involves the topics I just talked about. I'd actually like to teach people things I find appealing and have a passion for to maybe spark something in them too and hopefully influence good things. Thats why I really hope to learn about those things and maybe if I get a chance to be a teacher I can teach something that interests me. I would also be very happy if I could become an English teacher in Korea. The reason why I say Korea is because I really really fascinated by the culture of Korea and would like to go there someday and I think it would be fun to teach a different language. It doesn't seem too hard to me since I’m already
The reason I am addressing this letter is because I have not meeting the satisfactory requirements by attempting less than sixty-seven percent of my total class courses and it has been my fault. During the spring of 2018 most precisely, February I decided to change my major (ADN) and thus my path changed. So, I did not need two out of my fourth classes and at that moment I decided to Q drop those two them with the idea of focused my time in the other two that I had left. Another reason was the overwhelming pressure not only because I had fourth classes also because at the beginning of January/2018 my parents started a local business most exactly a cell phone repair store, and they offer me to work for them, but the thing as their “child” we had a unspoken thing, they pay for my classes and I technically work for free, and It was a completely mistake I could not handle the amount of time that I had to manage between having fourth classes in which three of those fourth courses are well known for being demanding A&P 1 , BIO for science majors, and English 2 and also the 25 to 30 hours that I had to spend in my job just oppressed myself . How am I going to enhance my attendance is based in in two to three steps depending if I get a chance of being awarded.
My decision to major in engineering was heavily influenced by several factors. One influence on my decision was my dad. My dad is a software engineer, and my whole life I thought what he did was incredible. When I was young, he would spend time teaching me to code and in high school he assisted coaching the software portion of my robotics team. While working with my dad to write code for robotics I fully realized what went into coding, and I immediately loved it. He would also bring computers home from work, and helped me to build a computer when I was young, which got me interested in hardware and computers. His influence on my life is what set me on the path of engineering.
The two careers I am most interested in and am still torn between pursuing are Elementary School teacher and Middle School teacher for English. I would love to teach English or History specifically, because they are of the most interest to me. However, I worry about limiting possible teaching opportunities by pursuing these fields. I also think that being there for young children as they start their journey in school is very important. Having someone to help stoke their fire for learning, rather than put it out is vital.
Mom always told me that if I don’t keep the score up I will have to find a job someday. The score is just what my mom and I call my grades. She means that if I don’t keep up my grades she would stop giving me monthly allowance and you know kids these days, that's what keeps us going. I always listened to her until I started playing basketball. Everyday after school I went to basketball training for two whole hours and I know what you’re going to say, why don’t you do your homework after basketball? Well, you see my team always has these team parties. On other days I have to go to my older sister’s lacrosse games. She is a pro at it or should I say she was a pro at it. Lately, she has been missing all the goals. Now she is always yelling at me and bossing me around. She is always saying “Stephanie bring me this...and Stephanie bring me that…” If you are wondering who is Stephanie? Stephanie is me. Stephanie Helen Cooper, yup that’s me.
For the entirety of my school years I have always been awful at math. I really started to struggle with it during high school I barely passed most of my math classes but I never really got the jist of what was being taught. Which is why I knew immediately I did not want to major in engineering. The biggest problem with this major is all the math involved, because math is not my strong suit I wouldn’t be able to work to my best ability so my job would not feel very successful. I think I need a career that I can strive in and know that I am good at it so that the result will be just as good. I also would like a career that doesn’t require as much math as an engineer has to. This is why I do not want to major in engineering.
I have a big passion for sports. To me sports and physical fitness is a lot of my life. I play lots of sports including football lacrosse and power lifting. When I went to go and get my gear the associate asked if I was a new at playing. I told him I was and he told me that I would most likely love the sport and continue playing for as long as I could. So I ended up getting my stuff and I was so excited when I got my stuff it was crazy. It felt like i just woke up and it was Christmas morning. So I had my first game about a week later. The night before my game I felt like the next morning was Christmas. The first time that in ever played lacrosse was when I was about 9 years old. It was so fun I had butterflies in me. I was so nervous when
I believe that there is no exceptional choice for me other than Boston University. Not only do I find the campus beautiful,I feel that I belong here.My college adviser is the one who promoted this school for my best interest.I come from an International Baccalaureate background as a student in Curtis High School. This program helps me since it is both rigorous and teaches college material. This is why I believe I will fit since I come from a rigorous work load.
My major is elementary education because I want to inspire children like how my elementary teachers inspired me. My goal in my future job is to be a role model for kids from all socioeconomic backgrounds and all physical conditions. I hope that all of my students know how much they are loved by me whether it is a good or bad day in the classroom. I chose my major because having an education is one of the most powerful things in the universe. I want all kids to know it’s okay if you are not good in every single subject and that test scores don’t define who you truly are. I will be able to use my creativity and imagination in a childlike manner to show kids that you never lose your sense of wonder and curiosity even when you grow old. The classes I am most excited about taking here at Lindsey are Children’s Literature, Teaching Reading/Language Arts P-5, and Art Education P-5. The reason I cannot wait for these classes is that I want to teach reading or art which are two things I love to do. The challenges I face for my profession are graduating college, finding a stable job in a good school system that pays well. My future education plans after Lindsey are to get my teaching certificate and a masters degree in education but I am currently undecided about the school.
