I have not been to the Grand Canyon but that is on list of places I want to go! I have not traveled as much as I would like to either, but I am excited about an upcoming trip that I have to Malaysia! I am originally from a small town in Pennsylvania only about thirty minutes from Olean NY. So far, I like Olean it has a small town feel but is close enough to different activities that I can stay
Do you have a favorite tourist attraction? Personally mine would be Gatlinburg Tennessee. Although Gatlinburg is a long trip, there is just so many different exciting things to do. Gatlinburg is a great place to go to Cades Cove, go to Dolly World, and also go to The Comedy Barn.

The most exciting place I have been is Colorado because there are so many fun things to do and see. I love going to the Broncos game and the Rockies game or just seeing my family out there. I have a lot of friends and family out there that I go out and see. In Michigan, I can see my family and friends a lot so that is why I like going to Colorado.
The year of 2014 late summer I came to America with dreams and hopes, expecting the better for me and my family. I have family that had came before me; however they weren't that respectful for someone that had been living in Mexico their whole life. I used to get put down by the way I looked, talked or how I acted. I recall that they would talk in english about me , and make fun of me , so I wouldn’t understand what they were saying. I have cousins that don't even appreciate all the sacrifices that one as a parent has to make , so they are able to give a better life for their kids. On the good side of the story I would always keep in mind how I came here? thanks to who?and why?. So I realize that I fitted in the Hispanic community by attending to Hispanic events, playing soccer, and cooking hispanic food.
My trip to the Grand Canyon was the best experience I ever had so far in my life. My grandparents from Korea came along with us. Even though I saw them last year it was still an enjoyable moment that I had. Grand Canyon is located in Arizona so what our family did was fly to Las Vegas early in the morning and arrive in Nevada around 9 o’clock am. Driving to Grand Canyon was also five hours with heavy traffic. Driving and stopping every hour was hard to do but at the end it was all worth it. It was good that I had couple electronic devices and my family to keep me in company.
Coming to America about six years ago and adapting to the new world proved to be a real challenge for me. Aside from the cultural shock, I had to adapt to the usage of a foreign language in almost everything, which in turn forced me to work harder in my studies than in the previous years. My parents sacrificed a lot for their family. They left their country, their own business, and their family behind so that my sisters and I could have a better future. I came to America when I was in the eighth grade. I did not speak English fluently or understood it very well. When I got the admission in middle school my counselor gave the course selection sheet. I did not even know what courses to pick because the courses were almost alien in nature, or
When I came to the United states, it was pretty hard trying to speak and understand english, because when someone was talking to me I did not understood a single word. It Frustrated me.It was also really hard to pronounce a word because some words does not sound the same way their written.I actually did not want it to read or write anything to learn i just want it to go back where I could understand a language. My mom spoke with me about how she felt when she first came to the US I realize that nothing is impossible.
I never understood how I got to the United States. I decided to uncover my past and ask my parents,my father; Jae Cho at the age of 60, and my mother; Eunwoo Cho at 53. My parents met at a bar in Seoul during high school. From there they knew they had a special connection. After a year, my .father moved to tennessee because all of his friends were there. His days consisted of struggling in high school trying to learn english, and skating every other second he had. After years of agonizing training, he qualified for the 1984 winter olympics. After his skating career, he went to the University of Wisconsin. My mom was still in korea at the time, starting her acting career. She acted in indie films but eventually got recognition and was chosen
Stepping out of my first plane ride, I experience an epiphany of new culture, which seems to me as a whole new world. Buzzing around my ears are conversations in an unfamiliar language that intrigues me. It then struck me that after twenty hours of a seemingly perpetual plane ride that I finally arrived in The United States of America, a country full of new opportunities. It was this moment that I realized how diverse and big this world is. This is the story of my new life in America.
Growing up in Ghana, I had heard a lot of things about the U.S. This was a country I had always wanted to visit; my prayer was answered when I got the opportunity to travel there. Arriving in a new environment came with many experiences. Adjusting with food, language and the weather was not easy. With the passage of time, however I have been able to0 adjust and fit it. This write-up therefore is to elaborate on my experiences since coming to U.S.
Studying in a foreign country is an interesting experience of an individual lifetime. One tends to learn a number of things relating to ways of life in a foreign land. Social, political and economic values and aspects are usually different from one region to another. Therefore, through studying abroad one is able to learn different issues about another society such as gender and sexuality issues, social class and race/ethnicity issues. Having come from a developing country studying in the U.S.A has been a great experience personally. This paper will attempt to provide a reflection of my personal experience on studying in the U.S by comparing the history of Angola and the U.S.
This is to inquire if I could change the route of my trip in going back to US. Unexpectedly I have to attend the cancer treatment of my sister in Norway. My original return ticket to US is from Manila, Philippines to Amarillo, TX, USA. However I want to change the course of my trip from Oslo, Norway to Amarillo, TX, USA. Please let me know if this is possible and if there's any fees that I need to
Travelling to the United States was a defining point in my life. The trepidation was concealed by immense feelings of curiosity, hence making me not fear for the new changes to come. My first 3 years in high school were academically and emotionally hard. Making friends was not leisurely and I often felt excluded both inside and outside the classroom. Sometimes I didn't understand the slang employed by others because although I began learning English at a very young age, I didn’t grow up in an American environment. Some of the informal expressions and words were obscure to me. I felt like I couldn't relate to anybody and even began asking myself what made me unique and different than everyone else. I start having identity issues and felt
up the phone and rang my Tom’s father to thank him, and for me and Tom
Another place I have loved visiting was Los Angeles during a delivery trip with my dads commercial truck which we saw lots of cool stuff during our way down to Los Angeles we saw new cool stuff out in the west new foods , new culture we tried out this weird food I have never tried fried squirrel which was amazing food I wish they served in New York it kinda tasted like fried chicken. While we were out on this trip we saw one of tournaments for my favorite video game which was awesome to watch. My favorite team won during the tournament. After the tourney we delivered our load to the destination and while we were coming back we got more of our favorite food fried squirrel. We loved go out to Los Angeles its our favorite place to deliver a load to because you find so much stuff out to west and instead of the south which is much interesting to look for.
