I absolutely love football, I spend most of my days watching and learning the game because ever since I was a little kid i’ve wanted to play professional football. I was only 11 years old when I first put on a pair of shoulder pads and when I played my first game, it was like heaven on earth. I was born and raised around football and I couldn’t be anymore grateful that God has blessed enough to play this amazing sport. Being a big football star and playing in the NFL is every football players dream but unfortunately it’s not for everyone. Every day i wake up football is on my mind and I never rest until I know I got better each day.
Football is the greatest team sport but not only that; it helps young men prepare for life after football.
The game of football is being attacked. We see it every day in the headlines and on the news. The medical concerns are obvious. The game has taken more than its share of criticism. Even President Barack Obama said that if he had boys he wouldn’t let them play football. LeBron James publicly said no football in his house. So the question is asked all the time, Why would anyone want to play football? And why would anyone let their kids play? Here’s my answer. I believe there’s practically no other place where a boy is held to a higher standard then football. Football is hard, it’s tough, it demands discipline, it teaches obedience, it builds character. Football is a metaphor for life.
Football is a game of passion, a time when nothing else matters and the only thing that matters is going out there having fun and fighting for the guy next to you. Football has always been something that I loved and had a wild passion for. I’ve made friendships and memories to last a life time and I can always be grateful that football did that for me. Now of course I’ve had some bad memories during football as well, I remember walking out of the film room on the last day of spring ball and having Coach Antle grab me and say “Gage, I think I want to try you at a new position, I want to put you at defensive end. We need you more there and we think you can really excel there.” I remember being so furious, I had played linebacker ever since I could remember and now the last day of spring ball my senior year everything was about to change.
Football is a great sport to play and watch, and it gets even better with all the great players like Cam Newton and Tom Brady.
Football is America’s Greatest Sport because of the different positions, wide variety of skills, and players come from different backgrounds.
Something that ticks me off is that people think football is hitting people with the ball and to beat the other team. There is more to football than that. It is about brotherhood and having each other's backs and making sure that when one of them does their job wrong you can help them out because you won't let one of your teammates fail. It is about waking up and doing intense workouts and finishing it with your teammates and getting better while everyone else is still sleeping.
If I were to ask any athlete what their favorite memory in their lifetime was, I am sure that most of their responses would include the sport that they play. While baseball and golf are both sports that I participated in throughout my whole life, nothing can compare to the brotherhood and bond that football brought to me. I played football as a small child. I enjoyed the short games and practices because I was able to goof off with my friends. I also began playing football during my sophomore year of high school but quit rather quickly. At this point in time baseball still had my heart and triumphed over football in every way possible. It was not until my senior year at Thomasville High School that I fell in love with the game of football. The team began six a.m. practices in early June. We spent over half of day running, lifting weights, sweating, and puking. There were times that I doubted myself and wanted to quit. The only thing that kept me going was the bond I was creating with my teammates. Football instilled hard work, care for my fellow teammates, and determination to finish everything that I had started in me. Football changed my life for the better.
Football has always been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. As the youngest of four boys, I watched all three of my older brothers’ play from the side of the field. I never wanted to miss a single game. I would run right along with them, watching every move and play that they made. I will hold these memories for as long as I live. I always knew that I would be out there someday playing, but until then, I would settle for cheering them on. When the day finally came that it was my turn to get out there on that huge, open field and run my plays, I had a feeling that I had never experienced before. I felt a rush from my head to my toes, and all of a sudden, I was focused on nothing but playing the game. I was there for one thing and one thing only, to play my hardest for my team and make my brothers proud. To this day, when my feet hit the field, I still have that same awesome feeling. I finally understood why they would get excited, yelling and jumping around and now I could join in on those fun times with them. They have taught me so much about the game. If it weren’t for them, I definitely wouldn’t be the player that I am today. I could never tell them how much I
I was just wondering what was going, coach. I've gotten everything done. I didn't come to SAU just for the academics I left the full academic ride I had to come here. I want to play football. I may don't know what my position due to the fact I had no choice to play everywhere because it was a team need. I'm not really sure what Navy, Quincy, or any other school that offered where they wanted me to play and didn't really care because I like to play. I'll be honest I could've transferred, but I stayed. I lost every game there, but don't regret it due to the following: I made a lot of memories, rarely left the field, and to be a role model. I encourage you guys to check out my film to see where I can best help you guys. If you watch my film you
I said “ok don’t take too long” then we finally started the game. it was 7-0 already he said, “wow you're good at football". I said “thank you too,”
Football is and will forever be my favorite sport. Football is my favorite sport because ive This is a sport that will take some time to excel in, but if you follow the steps of becoming a football player you should do well. I've worked so hard over the years and I have to say after all the years i've been playing football, I have became a pretty good player if i say so myself. In my paper i will be talking about the steps of becoming a football player, the steps one should follow is get involved, increase skill level, show leadership skills, be a good listener, be a S.T.U.D (smart, tough, unselfish, and discipline), and have the passion for football.
Football is considered to be a game that instills positive life skills like discipline, courage, confidence and trust. All the players are dependent on one another and this is the reason why football is considered to be one of the best sports loved by everyone across the
I’ve always been an avid lover of sports, but the one sport that has always drawn me in easily is football. I’ve been part of many athletic events in my still young life, but football is by far one of the best. First and foremost, the feeling of playing in an actual football game is unlike any other. Making a big clutch play is one of the best feelings in the world. Finally, winning a hard fought game makes the victory that much sweeter.
Football, unlike any sport that I have been a part of can define someone inside the classroom and within the gridiron. Character translates between the two and is something that I was always fascinated about. Someone that can show teamwork on the field are often able to show the same level of compassion and dedication in the classroom.
Football is a game of passion, aggression, energy, and excitement. This is demonstrated on the professional level all the way down to pop warner players. Football has an odd mentality balance where you should have positive and negative people around you. The positive people will
The most recent challenge that I had to face actually happened last week. Me and a few Standout club members were arriving to football practice a little bit late on Tuesday. When we made it to the practice field our head called a team huddle. All the players gathered around, took a knee, and focused their attention to coach. Coach looks around and says “For all you guys going to Bible study is gonna have to make a choice”. Hold on, let’s stop right there, I am going to give some history on how this tension built up. Two years ago, my friend Matt started at bible study group called stand out. Every Tuesday Matt would have a bible study starting right after school at 3:15. Every Tuesday me and a couple of football players would go. The only
