It represents that I lack in self-awareness. It is a major concern out of all other assessments since it shows how much aware I am about my own self and how I cope with feedback from others. I should also work on getting to know my self-worth, my values, cognitive style and how my thinking process works. I should work on accepting the feedback from others. I have major issue of disclosing my inner self to others and hence it disables me to gain the ultimate truth about my own self. I am also sensitive towards the negative feedback received from my team mates which might be a hindrance in my working atmosphere. It might create negative impact on my personality and working habits.
2.4. Emotional Intelligence Assessment
In the Emotional Intelligence Assessment, I scored more than the average score of 70 with 75. It means I am aware about my emotional being. I am mostly aware about what is going on inside me as well as what is being said around me with considering others emotional state of mind. I am emotionally sympathetic and balanced with ability to handle the situation without being harsh and rude to others. in general I have control over my emotional state and being.
2.5. Leadership Enhancement Team
Emotional intelligence “refers to a person's ability to perceive, control, evaluate, and express emotions” (Cherry) and this assessment measures that ability. In 1996, Daniel Goleman wrote a landmark book titled “Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ” and theorized that more than any other trait, high emotional intelligence was the single trait responsible for workplace success. He wrote “emotional intelligence emerges as a much stronger predictor of who will be most successful, because it is how we handle ourselves in our relationships that determines how well we do once we are in a given job” (Goleman, 1996). In other words, your education and employment history might get you a job, but your emotional intelligence will determine how successful you will be in that

4. This assessment shows me that I have a high tendency to take the leadership role in the team environment. The positive aspect is that I willingly accept a challenge and I will lead a team towards the accomplishment of the goals, but the other results of this assessment did show me that I need to improve in several areas. I see that because of my low tendency to encourage and harmonize, I may lose some of the team members as they may not share an important idea or concept and that the existence of some conflict that may not be held in check may intimidate other individuals from sharing. This could lead to a task that is not as successful as it could have been since I did not gather all of the information that I could have. I need to work on making sure that every individual that is on the team has an opportunity to share their ideas and feels that the team environment is a place where they can share without the fear of embarrassment or conflict. Another result of this assessment was that I saw that I scored low in the area of summarizer. At first I did not think that much of the

Of the four categories, I scored the highest in the self-awareness category with a 91. This score shows that my ability to accurately perceive my emotions and stay aware of them as they happen strengthens my emotional intelligence. On the contrary, my self-management, social awareness, and relationship management scores were less than impressive. In order, I scored a 69, 67, and a 73 on these three sections of the test. The appraisal explains that scores between the 70-79 range can become strengths with a little improvement. Scores in the 60-69 range, however, need lots of improvement in order to strengthen ones EQ. For self-management, I agree that I sometimes struggle managing my emotional reactions. For example, making a bad grade on a test often causes me to develop anxiety. What shocked me the most was that my social awareness section received the lowest score. I always considered myself to be very good at picking up on other’s emotions, but this test showed otherwise. Thirdly, my relationship management presents with plenty of room for improvement. When I disagree with someone, I tend to immediately label that persons opinion as wrong before giving him a chance to explain his position. In conclusion, this test confirmed my need to become more aware of the emotions of those around me in order to strengthen my emotional
Emotional intelligence refers to capacity for recognizing our own feelings and those of others, for motivating ourselves and for managing emotions well in ourselves and in our relationship. (Goleman, 1995)
Results from the EI test provided by the Institute for Health and Human Potential, a test consisting of 17 questions, show I have an "exceptional EQ." However, this result may indicate one of two realities: either I am extremely high in emotional intelligence or extremely low. These results reflect a high level of self knowledge or a complete lack of it since you must be self-aware to accurately assess yourself. It is suggested that I seek clarification from a peer, co-worker or family member in order to validate this score.
The score I got for my emotional intelligence was a low emotional intelligence, which surprised me because I thought I was being genial with my answers. Apparently being nice and having morals isn’t the way to emotional intelligence. For example, one of the question states, “when I approach another person and try to strike up a conversation but the other person doesn’t respond,” which I thought that person doesn’t want to talk or he’s angry at something. I answer leave the person alone, which was the wrong answer. The “right” answer was to ask the person about his/her feelings, but when I’m angry the last thing I want is to be vex by another person. I don’t want to pry into other’s affairs, and so from my perspective and experience, I think
Based on my Emotional Intelligence assessment, my emotional intelligence is not strong, which was a score of 65. According to the overall results of the test, I am out of touch with my emotions, and frequently fail to identify my true feelings. I seem to be extremely uncomfortable dealing with emotions in general. I was relatively successful on the recognition of emotions aspect of the test. Also, I have a lot of limitation that I need to work on to improve my Intelligence test. I do not seem to be entirely aware of my strengths and weakness. My approach to problem solving is not always conducive to resolutions. I need a lot of improvement in the area of Emotional Understanding. My ability to emphasize needs improvement as well. I am not assertive, I do not seem to be very content, I seem to struggle to act independently and my flexibility is limited.
Emotional Intelligence is the ability to to be aware of your emotions, manipulate them from negative to positive and analyze them in yourself and other people, so you know when you are stressed, being negative and how to recognize this in other people.
Engineers Australia gives an extensive variety of administrations for profession improvement of individuals. It helps the part from the underlying stage i.e., to locate the main employment, keep the abilities upgraded, changing the profession way or closure it. The profession improvement program offered by EA gives administrations to engineers at all phases of their vocation including understudies, graduates and even experienced designers who are searching for an open door or change.
As mentioned above, it is very important for engineers to understand their own responsibilities. In 1960, the Conference of Engineering Societies of Western Europe and the United States of America defined "professional engineer" as follows:1 “A professional engineer is competent by virtue of his/her fundamental education and training to apply the scientific method and outlook to the analysis
