Although the winter season is filled with celebration, love and family-time it can also be coupled with lots of clutter! The transition from winter to spring doesn’t just happen with weather and food but also all throughout the house. There is nothing quite like being able to open up all your windows and doors and transform your home from it’s winter version to it’s spring-ready self!
I’m sure this is where the term “spring cleaning” was coined. An all-inclusive clean is definitely necessary, but today I was inspired by Tommy John, a men’s underwear company to focus on closets specifically. A closet, in my opinion, can never get enough TLC. With ongoing organization, bettering your closet is a constant journey!
I always like to start with

You LOVE these items and couldn’t possibly part with them. They fit you well and you wear them often.
Pile 2: The On-The-Fence Pile
You feel like you have to keep them but you aren’t exactly sure why.
Pile 3: The Donation/Consignment Pile
These items are out of style, they don’t fit me, or I simply don’t wear them anymore.
Pile 4: Throw Away!
These items aren’t in good condition anymore and wouldn’t be fit for someone else’s use.
I would love to encourage you all to donate any and all of your old clothes that are going to Pile 3. There are tons of wonderful local organizations who accept donations. If you can’t find a local donation shop there are always Goodwill and The Salvation Army to check out! What an easy way to help a family or individual in need?
For all of my readers with a significant other, first and foremost introduce them to the pile process! There will inevitably be items they simply can’t part with, but ladies, it’s definitely time to get rid of all his holey boxers or briefs – and time he considers investing in some real men’s underwear. Next, help him figure out what items have just passed their style prime. Once he gets the hang of it, it’s on to your kids’
Have there been a numerous number of dress code violations at your school lately? Is it getting old having to repeat the same things to students over and over again? Are they not listening even after they have been punished? Are they starting to get angry? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then consider making some changes to benefit the school and everyone in it. The easiest way to reduce these violations would be with uniforms. The origin of uniforms has been associated with a shooting in Baltimore in 1986, in which a public school student was injured in a fight over a pair of sunglasses ("Background of the Issue," n.d., para. 7). Since then they have become a very common occurrence in schools all over the United States, as dress code problems happen in a numerous amount of institutions. More specifically, if we narrow down and focus on our own area and the dress code problems happening in our local schools, we can clearly see that the Zanesville High School dress code is one of many that is greatly flawed and the school board needs to implement a uniform policy to reduce office disciplinary referrals, address bullying, and create a positive culture in the school environment.
This quote from the movie supports my reasoning for her unnecessary collection of useless things. As the movie goes on you can see her huge collection of useless gadgets and other random things. She clearly has no intent in getting rid of any of it. In a few years she collects a huge amount of junk and stores it where nobody else can find it. In the book Stuff: Compulsive Hoarding and the Meaning of Things, the difference between just collecting and hoarding is that, "When people collect things, they typically want to display them to other people.... Hoarders want to keep things hidden because of the shame they have (Frost).”
“It has been found that kids backpacks on average exceed 10% of their body weight”[1] . Having school lockers is important for the safety of the student’s back. We have to carry our books, lunch, P. E. clothes/shoes, and anything else that might be in our bag. This is hard on our backs and bodies. If only we had a place to put our backpacks besides the floor, and then lugging it to and from every class. This is not efficient and sets us up for lost items, even I have lost a pair of shoes. Having lockers will help students keep track of their belongings and keep them safe.
When you were in school, did you witness the one kid that never learned that their locker is tiny, or that it doesn't open very often and he can fit nearly nothing in it, try to fit something like sports gear or an instrument into there, and then the panic that follows when they cant fit it in there? I feel that this is a major problem and that it needs to be fixed, either by replacing the lockers or fixing them
pairs of pants or ten hand bags, and the guys most likely a dirt bike or four wheeler. I understand
Its that time of the year again! Time to spring clean all of those items in my room that I don't need anymore. I could spring clean, my room by getting rid of any old clothes I have that I won't wear anymore, or that don't fit me. By doing this I'll have a fresh start on starting spring. Another way I can spring clean, my room is by organizing certain things in it. For example, cleaning out my desk junk drawer. If I do this I can get rid of all the unnecessary things I have in that drawer and It will be easier for me to look for things. I also think that for my spring cleaning I can get rid of any of my shoes that no longer fit me, or shoes that people don't usually wear in the spring such as Uggs, winter boots, etc. If I do this it will also
At my family's big warm log cabin in Barnes, Wisconsin is where all my family go to hang out mainly during the winter and summer. We go up to our cabin mainly for Christmas and the 4th of July. When we go to our cabin for christmas it is always freezing cold outside and there is tons of pure white powdery snow outside. During the cold nights we tend to have a extremely warm bright fire outside the will keep us all warm as we tell stories and talk about plans that we all have for the future. When we go to the cabin in the summer we always have the greatest times with family and friends outside in the blazing hot sun. During the summer times out at the cabin the love to go swimming in the semi warm crystal clear lake that are cabin is on we
Do students who all dress the same look good or bad? Students should not all look the same. School is a place where students should be able to express themselves, and be able to wear whatever they want,as long as they are not breaking any rules that their school has. The first school dress code was established in 1969, by the U.S Supreme Court. The Supreme Court made the dress code to stop students of a certain school from protesting the Vietnam War.They So student that have piercing and student that like wearing different types clothing should not be limited because of school's dress code. The dress code has flaws to it, it does not have diversity, it can be take advantage of, and it unfair. But school believe that it make
When it comes to doors, both internal or external, oak is the best option. Oak doors provide optimal levels of security, privacy, insulation, and elegance. They are the best way to balance functionality and beauty.
Winter is without a doubt a season full of beauty and magic. Having your home and your yard decorated in the winter will definitely make you feel very good, and it will create a magical environment for you and your family. Some charming winter yard decors will inspire you to achieve your goal with
I'm arriving in the US on Aug 26th, and I'm looking for a room for $500-800/month located no more than 30 mins from NJIT. Probably you know someone who is looking for a roommate or a rental agent who can help me with this. Also, if you don't mind, maybe you can advise me a district where most of the students prefer renting apartments and why.
In a recent poll a whopping 36 percent of students felt that safe spaces were necessary on college campuses according to LendEDU, a student loan organization. Safes spaces provide an outlet for many who may take offense to material that negatively impacts a student’s emotions. Some students who have had traumas in their life take security in safe spaces due to the guarantee of not being in harm’s way of the lessons they may find offensive. In a world that is not censored from sensitive material in every location it is apprehensive to put trust into a specific location for security. Although many would agree safe spaces provide an outlet of security for those who have experienced traumas in their life, an alternative compromise should be in place to allow students to explore the world from different perspectives, learn to handle the tribulation of opposition, and to prepare students to overcome adversity outside of the classroom. Safe spaces on college campuses are defined as a place or environment in which a person or category of people can feel confident that they will not be exposed to discrimination, criticism, harassment, or any other emotional or physical harm therefor, it is wise to find comfort in the ideological sense of security a student would likely find in a safe space.
It does not matter where in the world people go, dress code is different but effective in each country, state, and city. In a state like Ohio, people see many different forms of these regulations. At Liberty-Benton High School, students are not allowed to show their shoulders, wear any ripped jeans, wear leggings without their backside covered, and other dress codes that are directed towards females. If a person would travel fifteen minutes southwest, they would come upon another school, Cory Rawson High School. They have many of the same dress codes there except for a few. When they wear leggings, the shirt has to come mid thigh and not just cover their backside. They are permitted to wear ripped jeans there and cold shoulder shirts that would show their shoulders (Waltz). Lastly, if a person would again travel back towards Liberty Benton High School, in the Findlay district, they would stumble upon Findlay High School. They have absolutely no limits there. They can wear leggings, crop tops, ripped jeans, cold shoulder shirts, tank tops, anything imaginable. If people there can get the same education level as Liberty Benton and Cory Rawson but still wear these so called “promiscuous” clothing items, how is it reasonable to have such diverse dress codes? All of these issues are directed towards females, but yet at different schools it has changed for some reason. How is it that based on where a person lives in the county or city depends on what their dress code is? Dress
The effect words have on others is an ongoing debate that has become prominent again due to the changing political climate. While some believe that words should not have the power to hurt people, others believe that care should be taken to not offend someone. This has led to the advent of “safe paces”, which can either allow people to temporarily escape societal problems or hinder free speech and reality, depending on who is talking. Looking into multiple forms of media and entertainment, it is clear to see how people think very differently on these issues. The show South Park makes it very clear how safe spaces can negatively warp reality and how culture can affect the way people live.
As Gloria Steinem once said, “A gender-equal society would be one where the word ‘gender’ does not exist: where everyone can be themselves”. Recently, Lehigh has been implemented something new to better embrace the meaning of gender inclusion. The newest residence hall building, Farrington Square Apartment, is now available for all-gender rooming, which means girls and boys can live together in one room. Residence Life, Residential Service, and the Pride Center believe, “This is an active effort to align Lehigh’s living options with the Principles of Our Equitable Community”. Even though to some extent, it is hard for people, who traditionally lived in dormitories divided into male and female, to become accustomed to the gender-inclusive rooming, this decision is a huge progress Lehigh made in giving students a sense of belonging and allowing them to experience more diverse living styles.
