Field trips are a good way to spend the school districts money because it gives time for students to get a break from school work and tests. Students get to learn new things by going to field trips. Some field trips help the students understand better the subject they are learning about. When the school takes you to a field trip for your history class to a museum you get to learn more about the past and the things that people we didn’t know have been through in a way that we don’t just take notes. When younger students hear about going to a field trip they get excited because they get to go see new things about science and history that they don’t really learn about. For the highschool students most field trips are usually about see colleges. This gives the students a chance to see what there choices are before becoming a senior or if they are seniors to help them make a right decision once they got the information on the schools they are more interested in going to or planning to go to.
Yes it might be a little more work for the teachers to figure out transportation and get accepted to the place they want to go. It does take time from the teacher doing there own work but it gives students and teachers to see what they are teaching or learning by seeing it by real or explained pictures of what happened and what the people back then might have discovered. It might be more money for the district to spend but it is for educational reasons. Instead of the district spending it on things they might not need. Field trips to go see colleges gives a better understanding and input of the things or classes that the students will need for the career field they are thinking of doing. Ramao states, “Fourth and fifth graders should see colleges and universities, middle school students are meant to learn more about art or science on their trips and highschool students should visit places that teach them about their academy’s area of focus”(Lillian Monegeau) .
In middle school I had field trips to colleges and to go see art performances. I was very excited to see how people express feelings or situations through dance. It was a fun experience I had. Going to see colleges in eighth grade and sixth grade gave me a
Here’s a number: 800. That’s about one and a half times the amount of people in our high school. It’s also the estimated number of children who die each day due to diarrhoeal diseases caused by unclean and unsafe drinking water (WaterAid). That being said, here in the United States, almost anyone can walk up to a drinking fountain and clean water will shoot out. My whole life I have taken too many opportunities and freedoms for granted, which is why someday, I want to go on a mission trip to help people in need.
A great impact that I witnessed that year is when I took the school field trip to numerous colleges close to the city. I had never been to a university or even a community college. Therefore, me going to those visit gave me a greater idea on what type of college I'd like to attend. One of the colleges I remembered we toured to was Lakeland Community College. I really liked the aspects that it has, with the classrooms even the on campus living. Taking trip like that sets your mind up but also prepares you to know what to expect and look for when you are college searching.
Did you know that highly trafficked areas like Niagara Falls are best for solo hiking? Highly populated areas such as Niagara falls are exquisite hiking spots for novice hikers, even if someone is hiking a simple trail, it is pivotal that people are notified of the individual's whereabouts. It is crucial to communicate with family or trusted associates before you go on a hike owing to the fact that hiking alone can pose threats such as injuries, complicated weather, and dangerous wildlife.

Some schools with year-round schooling utilize something called the “multi-track” system. Essentially, the school is divided into four or five different “tracks.” Vacations are staggered between the tracks in such as way so that while three out four tracks are currently in school, the other track is on vacation. When one track returns, another track goes on vacation. By staggering vacations, overcrowded schools can alleviate some of the stress of having too many students.
I turned around and at that moment I realized I was lost. Field Trips are always exciting growing up because it's a day off of school until you get lost. I always looked forward to going on field trips growing up. To me it was an opportunity to miss class but also learn new exciting things. Every year in middle school, my school went to the Los Angeles County Fair in the beginning of September. Since it was the beginning of the school year, it was a fun time considering this is the most exciting field trip all year. There was this feeling about this field trip that it was going to be different.
When in Rome! I chose to pick a study abroad program because I want to explore the world. I think it is a perfect idea to get a chance to travel to another country and earn college credits. I chose Rome because that is where I think I will be more comfortable to visit while in college. It is full of culture, fashion, great cuisines, art, and many more! It has always been on my bucket list to go to Italy. It is the perfect opportunity to visit the country especially while I am in college. I remember watching Lizzie McGuire as a child and she went to Rome and impersonated an Italian pop star, Isabella. She met this handsome man who took her to tour the city. Everyone eventually realized he was using her to ruin Isabella, but it was still a happy ending for Lizzie McGuire. I wanted that happy ending it looked like so much fun running around Rome. The expenses are outstanding for the trip, but at least I have an agenda all laid out by the program.
Finding ways to keep students interested in schoolwork and increasing their cognitive abilities has been a constant struggle for teachers. It is common knowledge that when a child’s interest wanes, it becomes harder for them to learn and retain knowledge on the subject. One tool that can be used to combat this issue would be the use of an outdoor classroom or learning outdoors. During the late 60’s and 70’s outdoor education was highly recommended in curriculum guidelines to enrich educational experiences, but later declined in the 80’s (Eaton, 1998). Today, outdoor education only plays a small role in children’s education experiences, despite the benefits it could provide. Teachers should take advantage of outdoor education to increase children’s cognitive skills, provide physical and emotional benefits, and decrease the bio phobia many children seemed to have developed.
There is more risk involved in a making a field trip than in attending a typical day at school. The travel is longer, the destination is new and unknown.
