ISIS stands for Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, because the group's territory straddles the border between the two counties since 1999. ISIS is an unquestionably dangerous and potentially irrational force, that demands immediate decisive action. With the help of military intervention, I strongly believe ISIS can be abolished. And the world can become a more secure place for everyone involved. ISIS is an unquestionably dangerous and potentially irrational force that needs to be migrated someway. Others may conclude ISIS is not extremely powerful, so why is military intervention needed? Just because ISIS is not extremely powerful now does not mean they won't be someday. A good and accurate example of that is the NAZIs. Yes, the Nazis killed way many more, but just give ISIS time and opportunity; perhaps they'd compete. “The number of civilians murdered in iraq in 2014 doubled from 9,743 in 2013. While compared to 2012 the number has grown, nearly four times. Almost 1,000 people have been executed in Iraq over the last four months, most in areas controlled by the Islamic State. According to a tally based on numbers provided by Iraq Body Count, an independent monitoring group tracking civilian deaths in Iraq. That number is more than four times the number of Afghan civilians killed by the Taliban in all of

"That means I will not hesitate to take action against ISIL in Syria, as well as Iraq. This is a core principle of my presidency: if you threaten America, you will find no safe haven."-Obama. Obama contends that ISIS has threatened genocide and committed vicious acts of violence against religious and ethnic minority groups including Iraqi, Christian, Vezdi and Turkmen populations. ISIS has caused worldwide problems, which is another accurate reason as to why military intervention is needed to fight against
In 2016, there has been a recorded estimate of 450,000 casualties in that year, with the majority being their own civilians. The numerous amounts of air strikes caused by the US and Russia had caused more damage and death then there already was.

Hundreds of Shia Muslim men and boys lie face down on a dusty spread of land north of Baghdad. Machine guns sound like hail as bullets fire into the men, dust and blood fly everywhere. The bearded executionists show no conscience and leave the bodies entangled in a shallow mass grave. In replacement of a tombstone waves the Islamic flag. These executions were carried out last month as part of ISIS’s crackdown on Shia Muslims and other infidels.
President Obama is one of those people who does not obtain the desire to send troops to fight Isis, for he expresses this opinion in his statement, “This is not a traditional military opponent, we can retake territory and as long as we keep our troops there we can hold it. But that does not solve the underlying problem of eliminating the dynamics that are producing these kinds of violent, extremist groups,” (“Obama Won’t Send,” 2015). President Obama has been faced with war decisions on terrorism prior to Isis with the terrorist group, Al Qaeda. When Barack Obama became president, he sent most of America’s ground troops in Iraq home to their families. He then announced the United States was no longer pursuing a War on Terror, but rather focusing the military on specific enemies. This war tactic ended in success, given the Navy SEALs raided the Al Qaeda leader’s compound. Navy SEALs then shot and killed Al Qaeda’s leader, Osama Bin
The U.S. strategy for defeating ISIS must look like defeating terrorists without compromising foreign interest in these countries, like Syria, and Iraq. There is also a risk for finding trustworthy allies, and having weapons falling into the wrong hands. Therefore U.S. should provide aids to allies and help them figure out their true ideology. A war would destroy the economy of the Syria and negatively affect the citizens as well as the environment of the region. For the betterment of the world and its people, countries should come together and end the war by negotiating rather than shooting at each other, if possible.
On the other hand, a U.S. military intervention is unlikely to happen since the U.S. cannot afford, politically or economically, an unsecured contribution to the Syrian war for an unpredictable period of time, especially after Obama’s foreign policy has been focused on ending all military involvements in Iraq and Afghanistan. The U.S. army hasn’t seemed to rest from the wounds of the two major past war, and veteran families were promised that military interventions will end, which makes the issue of intervention in Syria even more complicated for the U.S.
To conclude, the United States should no deploy anymore troops to fight ISIS. As a country we should not be involved with a nation we just battled with. It is too dangerous to our troops and our citizens. Also when our troops are away from the Homefront, our nation becomes very vulnerable. By leaving us defenseless, ISIS is left with more opportunity. Not to mention, other nations need to learn how to defend themselves. Sometimes you must sink before you learn to swim, and it is not our duty to rescue them. Our militia is better off when they're on home
A CNN poll was done and stated that 64% say the U.S. should send ground troops to Iraq or Syria to fight Isis. Also 18% say that the U.S need to do more with the fight against Isis.Isis isn’t going to be stopped by doing nothing,we need to send ground troops and defeat them before they can do more attacks. Some may argue that airstrike are working fine to eliminate targets but if this is true why are attacks still happening.Isis is still growing even though we're doing airstrike against them if other country are backing out of the airstrike too they be able to become even stronger. We need to send troops to be able to control them and then eliminate
The controversy over whether the United States should take stronger military action against ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) has been discussed the past few months. The public opinion has grown more favorable to taking stronger action; however, there is a minority of people that still believe the Unites States should stay out of war as long it can. If the United States avoids war, then ISIS will become a bigger threat to the country than it already is. The Unites States should take stronger military force against ISIS. ISIS has proven to be a very powerful threat to our country and other countries around the world; if they are not stopped, ISIS will continue to aim danger at our country and our people.

Isis is a big problem in society that needs to be eliminated The U.S. Isis is a dangerous anti American society who is causing trouble in Syria, Iraq, and even her in the u.s. Isis has done plenty of mass murders and shootings that have caused lives. The main problem with them is that they are infiltrating the U.S which is a major threat to society considering they are only here to cause damage.
Syrian civil war started in 2011 was the outcome of the opposition against the President Bashar al-Assad regime. The uprising emerged as a response to the Arab spring movement that lead to regime change in Tunisia and subsequently turned into mass unrest rooted into the discontent with long-term dictatorship and poor economic situation in the country (Manfreda, n.d.). The number of Syrian citizens killed in the civil war reached 140000 since March 2011 (SBS 2014). The European Commission (2014, 2) reports approximately 9.3 million civilians “in need for humanitarian assistance”. The scale of armed rebellion between government and opposition that lead to an increasing number of casualties among civilians did not remain unnoticed by the
Starting in 2011, Syria went into civil war, with the country being destabilized by fighting between rebel forces and the Syrian Government. Recently ISIS, a terrorist group, joined in on the fighting, taking land from the government and the rebels. Responding to this, the United States has started bombing ISIS, becoming involved in the situation in Syria. I believe that the US should not be become involved militarily against the Syrian government while continuing to bomb ISIS, as preventing ISIS from becoming more powerful is important to prevent terrorism. We should stick to only bombing the terrorist group, as sending in troops would only cause more problems. On the other hand, sending in troops may speed up the process in the fight against ISIS, but at a large cost.
“What then is freedom? The power to live as one wishes” (CITE CITE CITE). Syrian people have lost their freedom, and have been living in fear since the Syrian Civil War broke out in 2011. The horrific civil war has been going on for years. There was a rebellion against the Syrian government six years ago starting the civil war. Ever since then innocent civilians have been hurting and suffering. Syrian people have been drug away from their homes and are living in anguish. The controversy on how the United States should help Syrian people has formed over the years. The media has started to cover the Syrian civil war more, and it has shown the world how much Syrian people are hurting. Americans have started to realize that these people need help, but the question of how to help is still under discussion. Some people believe that America should use organizations to donate money and supplies to the people in need. They believe that with the help of money and food that the people will be okay. Other people believe that America should send in U.S troops to help end the fighting.
