The possibility of year round schools has been a hot debate topic for quite some time. The question is, is the idea of year round schools acceptable considering all the potential drawbacks? Year round schooling can be disruptive to both the family of the students and the teachers themselves, it can be too costly for a large group of people, and year round schools do not provide the same opportunity for learning as the traditional school year does. For several reasons, the traditional school year, which runs for ten months instead of eleven, is more beneficial in comparison to year round schooling.

Year round schooling is better than regular school because, it allows the kids to retain more information and not lose what they learned, they also allow them to graduate earlier with higher retention levels. Heating a school in the coldest part of the year when there is a Holiday and cooling the school in the hottest time of the year cost a lot of money. A con of all year round schooling would be you don’t graduate from school earlier than all of the other schools, just because you only get one month off in the summer doesn't mean that you still learn for an extra month. The final pro of having year round schooling would be not having the school closed for two month at a time. It is said that children are likely to remember more in year round school rather than nine-month school and a three-month long summer break. In my opinion year round calendar for public schools causes more problems rather than fixing them. Due to the economic status, funding for education in the United States is limited, so education during the summer will cost school districts more money to support the program. Introducing this type of school calendar to students and parents will endure plenty of adjustments during the summer season.

School administrators have sometimes foudn it hard to deal with licensure and contractual issues of teachers when working out schedules for year-round schools. They all have very smart kids,and year-round schools are more exiting.Year-round schools will be in all US schools within the next 15 years. All year-round students are in school for 45 days and then they have 15 days off. I think its a good idea to have all year-round school,more education and more learning for year-round students.
