Plato’s Closet’s mission statement is, “Plato’s Closet will provide a unique and convenient way to buy and sell gently used teen and young adult brand name clothing and accessories. We strive to focus on quality, styling and value. As a company, we acknowledge that our business is a gift from God and we will glorify Him in all we do. “Plato’s Closet buys and sales gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, and certain items. Plato’s opened its first franchise in 1998 in Columbus, Ohio and Lynn and Dennis Blum founded it. Today Plato’s has more than 400 locations in the U.S and Canada. Winmark Corporation is the franchiser for 5 companies, including Plato’s Closet, and Plato’s makes the most revenue yearly making nearly 400 million dollars a year and are still growing today.

Evolving around 1998 Plato`s became apart of a franchise system, Winmark Corporation’s, which has been supporting unique retail businesses for years.
