POSITION: Programming Specialist (V)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as member of the Fraternity Programming Content Team and assigned district team. Maintain expert knowledge of programming for chapters and alumnae associations. This position is a commitment of three to five hours per week.
REPORTS TO: District Director (V) and Programming Director (V)
DUTIES:
General 60 percent
Serve as a member of the Fraternity Programming Content Team and district team.
Stay abreast of new educational programming and technology.
Read and digest all resources for the assigned officer areas of new member and education. Read chapter minutes on a weekly basis to stay abreast of activities.

Keep the District Director and Alumna Relations Director informed with appropriate correspondence and reports as well as accomplishments, concerns and suggestions from collegians and alumnae.
Collaborate with the district team on a regular basis, including biannual evaluations of each chapter and biennial evaluations of each alumnae association.
Provide monthly updates to the Content Directors and District Director on key areas for your chapters and associates.
Complete the programming metric report near the end of the second semester as requested by the Chapter Services Department at Kappa Kappa Gamma Headquarters.
Training 10 percent
Collaborate with the Programming Director and Content Specialists to develop and provide training to chapters and alumnae associations. Revise and create additional resources.
Assist in identifying external speakers/presenters on key educational topics for Kappa Leadership Conference.
Travel 5 percent
Attend meetings as assigned or requested.

We are a very responsive to each other's needs and request. We always make multiples plans to make sure that we have a cohesive message. We check to make sure everything is agreed upon before we make a final decision. We really take each other's thoughts into consideration.The alumnae on the board are also very responsive to what the collegians suggest because we are the ones utilizing the facility and the collegians listen to what the alumnae recommend because they have experience.
I have to do class visits to tell students about the protocol and resources that are available in the school to make sure they know all of the support that is available to them. Another one of my jobs in this committee is to attend committee meetings and staff meetings to discuss new protocol that is being implemented in the school, to ensure the safety of the students and

Maintains an accurate and up-to-date history to include a scrapbook of chapter activities, awards, and publicity

Theta Tau is a very organized group of Professional Engineers. They effectively plan and promote numerous events to improve themselves and their community. In order to continue this, like any organization, they are dependant on the number of its members. If and when I become a member of Theta Tau, I wish to become the Recruitment Chair as to influence more people to want to become potential Brothers.
Advisory Board: The Advisory Board Specialist is Elaine Hanner, Tulsa. Her role is to assist Advisory Boards with recruiting new advisers as well as to identify and train local alumnae to volunteer for chapter events. This Content Specialist will connect with you when seeking new volunteers within the area to serve on an Advisory Board or House Board for a local chapter. Elaine is a former fifth-grade and sixth-grade teacher who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her husband who was her high school
Bratt (2013) states that internal communication with administrative and executives within the organization can be accomplished by generating a quarterly newsletter that highlights group achievements and profiles individual improvements within the program. This communication is important not just as a routine matter, but can also serve as a method to keep an organizations leadership committed to reinvesting in the program and continuing to support the programs
The UIC Public Administration Advisory Committee has assigned Aida Demirovic and Miguel Mosqueda with three tasks (1) creating an engagement alumni plan, (2) incorporating hands-on work experience throughout the program, and (3) increasing curriculum focus to include data analysis and project management.
Leadership Development: The Leadership Development Specialist is Haley Jackson, Georgia Southern. Her role is to guide chapter officers through the nomination process, elections, officer transitions and training, goal setting, and the development of a strategic plan for the upcoming year. This Content Specialist also provides guidance regarding leadership development programs offered by the Fraternity, such as Leadership Academy and leadTODAY. Haley has served on House Board for Zeta Upsilon Chapter, Georgia Southern, since her graduation.
Attend weekly meetings with the CBESA executive team to discuss upcoming duties and ensure transparency
Meetings of the members shall be held at least one time during each school year. The annual meeting of members shall be held each year in the month of January, at a specific date set and noticed by the Board of Directors.
Work with Chapter Council, the Public Relations Committee and chapter members to identify specific ways to promote chapter and member successes.
