Positive role models are those who possess the qualities that I would love to have and even improve on. They are those who have affected me in ways that make me want to be a better person in ways such as volunteering in the community. They help me to advocate for myself when I am falling short, help me on my steps to taking a leadership position, and even speak out on the issues that I feel strongly about. I often don’t tend to recognize positive role models until I have noticed my own personal growth. Knowing that it really implies that it takes a positive role model to know one. Some positive role models are teachers, clergy members, counselors and even friends.
Throughout my life, I have had many teachers as positive role models. Some teachers teach right to the tests while others show real world examples and even visit the places that we are learning about and that is what stands out to me. Aubrey, my core teacher in Israel, really exemplifies this and is very committed and an amazing role model that really stands out. Aubrey taught the core curriculum I was a part of while studying in Israel. It is an intense study of Israel and 4,000 years of Jewish history. It comprises of many things such as engaging classroom study and even life-changing trips to the sites where history took place. My classmates and I used Israel as a living classroom to explore my heritage and would go back in a heartbeat. What really stood out was that my teacher would sing, dance, skip, cheer

They often are in places of authority or, rather, noble in the eyes of their attendants. Role models yield a lot of value in many societies proven through literature in “The Color of Water” by James McBride, observations of mentors both in history and the present, and my personal experience with leaders who I appreciate.
Imagine living in a world where teens are doing drugs, pressuring their peers, and trying to be just like the models in magazines. Unfortunately, that’s the world we live in today. What do these teens need? They need positive adult role models. It is important for a teen to be influenced by positive adult role models while growing up; because if they don’t have positive adult role models, teens can be influenced by negative media, negative peer pressure, and teen drug use.

Most people would say that in order to be considered a good role model, you first need to be considered a good person. A good person is typically a person who has empathy for others, tries their best to make good decisions, and follows the law. After reading this description, of what a good person is, celebrities would not typically be the first group of people that would pop into your head because of their bad reputations, but that doesn't mean that all public figures are known for their bad choices. Celebrities should be famous for their talents and skills in some sort of field, or they could just have a great life story and have done great things in their life which inspired people to do the same. After all, everyday people run red lights all the time and no one would ever know, but the moment a celebrity gets one traffic ticket, it will be instantly posted all over every single magazine and news station. Public figures should be considered role models because, many public figures can serve as inspiration to do great things and a great example of what can happen if you make bad decisions.
A role model is someone who has a significant impact in your life. When people are asked who’s their role model, of the answers would say a celebrity or an athlete, but for me the answer is my mother. There are so many great qualities about her that motivates me to be a better person. For the past seventeen years of my life, she has been there for me in every way I can possibly think of. She’s my inspiration and motivation I look for when I need it. In the future, I want to be able to be there for her just like all those times she was there for me. She has so many great characteristics I’ve personally witnessed that has shaped me into the best version of myself.
