Since the beginning of Medical Terminology I have loved and appreciated the values and capabilities of medical technology and have been fascinated with the way our bodies work and maintain themselves. The health science courses I have taken have made me realize my dream of not only working in health care but someday make a difference in it. In Med Term I learned vocabulary crucial in healthcare along with many ways in which our bodies work and functions and currently am learning how to properly treat patients along with how to chart and treat different situations preparing me for future instances in the healthfield making me familiar with many abbreviations used in the medical profession and ultimately shaping me into a better health care provider

MEDEVAC operations are a key element to the Soldiers on the ground. Many lives are saved on a daily basis when the unarmed pilots fly into enemy fire to save the life of someone they do not even know. They are a true hero to many Soldiers. Good health is an important source of human life. Diseases and body disorders are the things that interfered with the immune system. Doctors play an important role as the backbone of human health and life. Many top doctors, especially the surgeon, anesthesiologist and other physicians are the people who carry the life of the patient on their shoulders. When something goes wrong, no matter what the cause is being, the families and the loved one blame the doctors. The most patients who need more attention are those having brain disorders such as those use drugs.

I choose the Health Science Academy because I want to go to college for nursing. I also want to go through this Health Academy because of the opportunities it would give me during and after high school. Some of the opportunities that the academy would provide for me deal with college application, possible future employment at different medical facilities, or even just the knowledge about medicine and basic health science. My assets towards this academy are the ability to get all work done on time and to do it to my best of abilities, I am a hard worker in and out of school, I love to learn, and lastly I can work well with a group of people. The concept of “One Health” has recently become a topic of interest in veterinary medicine. One Health is the concept that animal, human and environmental health are closely linked. Understanding the impact animals have on the society is important for a veterinarian to understand. In my personal life, I have experienced many situations where veterinary medicine is closely aligned with public health. Traveling abroad to Mexico, Costa Rica and South Africa allowed me to experience how the health of the public is impacted by a large feral canine population. There are hundreds of different occupations within this field, including anything from saving a fragile newborn baby’s life to prescribing antibiotics to a relatively healthy adult. No two occupations are exactly alike, but each one is equally important. Although there are several job variations in medicine, they all have at least one thing in common. The life of a medical student can almost be seen as a burden. To be a physician, science and mathematics based classes should be taken in college. The American Medical Association website states that anyone wanting to be in the medical field should do the following, “four years at a college or university to earn a BS or BA degree, usually with a strong emphasis on basic sciences, such as biology, chemistry, and physics.” Later on in the article it states that the next programs to enroll in after college are medical school, a residency program and fellowship.
