“President Obama will not be satisfied until every American who wants work can find a job. That’s why he is working to grow our economy, so middle class families feel confident in their futures and their children’s futures.”

I think this statement is mercantilist statement because he is argument about rationalizing the course of action of a government. He is saying that the government attempts to influence the economy. The national budget generally reflects the economic policy of a government, and it is partly through the budget that the government exercises its three principal methods of establishing control: the allocate function, the stabilization function, and the distributive function. In this case it is jobs for American families.
