Evaluation is a process that is used to look at the project, policy or program critically. It includes the collection and analyzing information that is related to the program or policy and that of its outcome. The Main purpose is to improve the policy or the program effectiveness. This will also help to identify any of the weak areas and changes that need to be made in the policy.

An example of evaluating is after the Year 8 disco, was the year 8 pupil’s filing out an evaluation form on how they thought the event went. There are many different ways to evaluate such as minutes of meeting, questionnaires, post-event papers and circulation list.

The Business Dictionary defines the word impact as a "measure of the tangible and intangible effects (consequences) of one thing's or entity's action or influence upon another". In essence impact is just defining the result something has had upon another thing. I think this is a good definition when speaking of sports because every new innovation is going to have some sort of impact either good, bad or a neutral.
When I hear the word impact I automatically think of having some kind of strong effect and making a difference. I think that the word impact has meaning that changes based on how it is used. For example impact can be something leaving a lasting memory or effect on someone/something or it could physical like two objects hitting each other.
Level four (effectiveness) is known to for being one of the most used forms of evaluation in a program. According to Dignan (2015), this level questions to what extend the desired results are being produced in the target population by the program activities that are created. The measurement that is done with effectiveness can consist of a collection of information from individuals, review of program records, or monitoring official statistics describing the target population.

Impact describes the after-effect of a change that occurred in the subject in question. In regards to sports, an impact can describe when a change has been made in the way a sport is played and how that change has affected the game overall. Every sport has a unique set of equipment designed specifically for that sport. It may not seem so but the equipment involved is highly significant in regards to how the game is played. One sport that experienced a significant impact in the way the sport was played is pole vaulting. The most significant change in the equipment was the shift from the straight pole method to the bendable pole method. Initially, the pole vaults were made of hardwood or bamboo, but now they’re made of carbon fiber and fiberglass.
