Professional military medical development is neither the outcome of a series of courses nor the product of a sequence of military assignments. It is a continual process of self-assessment and development of common goals to achieve progressive outcomes. Reflecting on my experiences, I recall many influential instances in my medical career. In some cases, I did not realize the impact on my development as a leader until months, or even years later.
I have had the opportunity in the military to develop a diverse range of career skills and work experience. Upon entering the military, I knew I had one goal, and that was to help Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen. After graduation from residency in 2010, I had many incredible opportunities
In this report I will be going over the importance of training and education within the military, and how they both play very important roles to not only leaders, but the service members within our ranks. The military is constantly training and, we train as we fight. However, before soldiers train, they must be well educated in all areas in which they will be training. Proper education is the key to proper training. I will also discuss the importance of becoming better educated while serving in the military, as it will make transitioning back into the
1. Identify your career and why you chose it. My Career is The Marines Most specifically on marine snipers.
I am currently enlisted in the Air National Guard. I previously served a 9 year enlistment in the Active duty Air Force before separating honorably as an E-5/ Staff Sargent. My job description for the military is Vehicle Operator/ Dispatcher. While working in my military job, I have found a passion for working in the office environment. I enjoy working side by side with others and building relationships. I also love working in customer service. I am people person and find joy in communicating with and helping others. When I decided to get out of the Air Force, I still wanted to be a part of the military culture outside the 2 days a month I serve in the Air National Guard. I also have strong interest in being a part of the Student Veterans Organization.
My opinion here might be biased because I have served on active duty for nearly 8 years and I have had many encounters with military based healthcare. I am assuming by government funded programs in health care, the focus is on scholarships for healthcare students and repayment programs for healthcare professionals. I personally believe that encouraging future physicians, dentists, and other healthcare professionals to serve in military is necessary to combat the growing health demands of personnel in the military. It is important that the government relieve some of the financial burdens on students who decided to serve in the military, because the sacrifices they could face will go beyond the cost of their education. Across all branches of
Professionals in the United States Army stand apart from others engaged in particular careers in the civilian world. While many vocations contain some of the characteristics of professional, a lot of careers do not include all of the elements necessary to distinguish themselves as being as close to a professional as a United States soldier. Professionalism grows depending on the time and service they have in the Army. A professional has specialized knowledge and skill which can only be acquired through prolonged education and experience. Such skill and experience form the basis of objective standards of professional competence that separate the practicing professional from their peers and
U.S. military clinical department (AMEDD) gives healthcare services to U.S. infantrymen and their own family members. It operates through the workplace of the health care professional trendy (OTSG) and MEDCOM. OTSG explains the medical finances to Congress and MEDCOM oversees its execution and instructions all constant hospitals. within the case of military medical organizations and their population, there may be little use for fees and differential aggressive strategies. but, where businesses like Dwight D. Eisenhower army medical center(DDEAMC) can excel is through the usage of “focused approach” provided by Michael Porter as part of his 3 generic strategies.
“Professionalism is not sportsmanship. If you don't succeed, you won't be in your profession for long. In our society, it's not about good or bad. It's about who's on top”. This is a very inspirational quote from Chili Davis, who is a hitting coach for the Chicago Cubs. What he said is important because in todays society if you are not on top in comparison to your peers you will go nowhere in your profession. Military and professional bearing have a huge impact on how someone is viewed in society, having a professional appearance, displaying proper customs and courtesies, and having the proper tack will have you standing out above your peers.
I am a currently a veteran of the United States Navy. I served on active duty for 12 years. During my 12 years of service, I earned an Bachelor’s of Science in Healthcare Management through Southern Illinois University. While I was in the military I had the opportunity to be the president of the Morale Welfare and Recreation program for my command. One of the most rewarding collateral duties I was a part of. While on deployment I coordinated parties, movie nights, game nights and other fun things to help boost morale. I really enjoyed seeing people interact and have an enjoyable time with their military family while away from their real family.
As a citizen of the United States, I always felt it was my duty to serve my country to the best of my ability. Service takes many forms: in the work force, in government, in raising another generation of proud Americans. For myself, I never considered the military to be my ‘best ability.’ But, through the process of discovering Ocean Engineering, visiting the Naval Academy, and learning more about myself, I am confident that the best way I can serve is through a military position.
Hi, I am Arryona Pastor and I am obsessed with Harry Potter. I collect many Harry Potter related objects such as wands and statues. My goal for this school year is to become more focused and aware of due dates along with test dates. On my free time, I am usually reading a book or on

The Air Force’s standards of conduct and performance have helped me mature into an adult while creating lasting memories along the way. I have had the opportunity to make significant contributions to my country that offer a sense of pride and personal achievement. My current duties allow me to directly contribute to the Air Force and Joint arena on an almost daily basis. Joining the Air Force helped me to realize I had undertaken a task bigger than myself.
