Vincent Pellettiere Interview Sample I The first interview sample was taken from YouTube (2013), “Max Employment-Top 10 Job Interview Questions and Answers”. The job candidate in the video was interviewing for a Sales Administration position. The job that I selected from Indeed.com is – Inside Sales/Sales Coordinator, at Minnesota Rubber and Plastics, - Minneapolis HQ (quadion, n.d.). The job objective is to promptly respond to all customer inquiries, and to perform duties with tact and professionalism, manage all aspects of contract review, order processing, manage customer accounts, generate sales, participate

Also, the interviewer did not ask any questions to determine the interviewee’s behavior, her critical thinking, or how well, if at all, she worked in a team. Overall both, the interviewee and interviewer, would do well to brush-up on their interviewing skills.
Interview Sample II The second interview from YouTube was, “Interview Techniques – Getting It Right”, published February 13, 2014. This was a panelist interview that consisted of a three-person panel, and the job position was for a customer representative. The job that I selected is from, traffictech.com, and is for a customer representative, who would be responsible for vendor relationship, with an outgoing personality, high-energy, great attitude, and a desire to work hard while having fun. During this interview process, the interviewee adequately answered the first round of interview questions and her answers did not appear to be rehearsed, but showed that she had prepared for the initial round of questions with ease with one panelist. However, when another of the panel members asked a question regarding teamwork, the interviewee drew a blank and could not provide an answer and simply said nothing until the panel member asked if the question should be repeated. The interviewer rephrased the question, and the interviewee was able to recover and answer the question and this time with ease. In this case of the interviewee, the best thing to have done would
Trainees will compare their knowledge from the previous activity of ‘not so good’ interview techniques and then in pairs list four examples of ‘good’ interview skills which they identified in the DVD clip.
I had the privilege to interview a member of the HR department at Liberty Diversified, International (LDI). LDI is a family of seven companies in different markets such as: custom packaging solutions (Harbor Packaging), retail solutions (Immedia), and office furnishings and solutions (Safco), to name a few. Being a freshman at the Carlson School I was really nervous about this assignment because I didn’t want to make a bad impression by interviewing someone I had no connections with. Thus, I decided to interview Erin Hanson who is and HR specialist for Liberty Diversified, International who aligns with their workplace furniture and solutions business Safco. Erin is actually a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities so it was really cool to have the opportunity to meet an alumnus. I met with Erin because I have a relative in Safco who works as a business analyst who was able to set a meeting with her and even drive me to it. I asked Erin a series of ten questions relating to various facets of HR that we had discussed in class prior to my meeting with her.
She has worked at this organization for a year and is qualified to make administrative verdicts. This interview addressed the issue to see if management knew about the problem and if they believed it was a viable problem. This source gave me the opportunity to get an understanding on if management had recognized the problem and their opinion on it.
Interview: candidate shortlisting form (score sheet), CV, person specification and the list of questions there were set.
The Interview Skills video was presented by the Career Services Department in 2017. Discussed in the video are ways to prepare for an interview, how to successfully navigate through an interview, and finally how to follow up after the interview in complete. First, in order to prepare yourself before the interview, it is suggested that you research on the company you are interviewing with. For example, find out what the mission and values of the company are. Also, you may look for connections to the community or any special projects the company maybe working on. This way you can make a
Throughout the interview the case manager showed Alia effective communication skills to show Alia she was trying to understand what she was trying to tell her. The case manager displayed her effective communication skills by making appropriate eye contact and with her relaxed body posture. Listening to what Alia was saying and to what was not actually being said showcased the case manager’s skill of active listening. “Asking client’s appropriate questions during the interview process is

As mentioned above, the interviewer demonstrated a few strengths throughout the interview. The interviewer effectively explained the setup of the room and ensured the volunteer that confidentiality would be maintained. As stated in Arnold and Boggs, “ She also asked a large amount of open ended questions, which allowed the volunteer to talk about what they felt comfortable discussing. According to Arnold and Boggs, open ended questions allow in, “sharing the personal meanings of an illness… provides more complete information,” (pg 82). Finally, the
In class, we split up into groups of three and performed three sets of triadic interviews. One person was interviewed about themselves by another student for five minutes. After this five minute interview period, the student who was interviewed left the room and the third student interviewed the former interviewer about the interviewee. This process was alternated and repeated twice to ensure that everyone in the class would have a turn in each interview position. Generally speaking, the direct interviews were far more successful and productive than the indirect interviews for several reasons discussed below.
Having the ability to watch myself talk and counsel, completely changed my outlook on how I present myself. I saw myself as anxious, quick-witted, fidgety, and persistent. I could see how stressed I was, and so far, from calm, reserved, and collected. Since then, I have been working on speaking slower and being a bit more relaxed in general. Working on those skills in my daily life played a major impact on the improvements displayed during the second interview.
When presented with this assignment, I immediately thought of a friend of my son’s who I have known for many years. I don’t know her extremely well, but I recently ran into her in a change room of a clothing store and we had a lengthy conversation about her plans for her future. We discussed the variety of ways to search for a job as a new university graduate. She appeared very lost, confused and unaware of how to begin her job search. She appeared extremely overwhelmed and I felt that she would appreciate the opportunity to participate in a mock interview. I was right! She was so appreciative and took the opportunity very seriously.
We got three in depth interviews. The first in-depth interview was with Coordinated Wire Rope of San Diego Inc., a manufacturing company that sells wiring for commercial and residential businesses in the construction industries. The second in-depth interview was with Mittler Bros. Machine and Tool, they are a whole sale and retail racecar parts and accessories companies who also manufactures components in-house. The final interview was with Dorfman Pacific.

This interview was clearly not a reflection of a well-thought out interviewing strategy for the firm. This is because the panel consisted of the president of the company, two vice presidents, the marketing director and another engineer and despite this there was still no professionalism in the interview conducted. The company clearly does not have a clearly stipulated strategy that is usually used for carrying out interviews in the firm. This clearly
