I am very glad I took this course. Originally I had not signed up for this class, but was enrolled into a different class; but I ended up dropping that one and joining into this class. I thought I would not learn much from this class, and it was just going to be an easy class; but no I actually learned so much about myself and the path I am on! The most important thing I learned about myself is that the path I am following and want to continue on is the path for me. I have always thought I was the type of person to become a teacher, but this class just really solidified that for me. After taking the career tests, and that being my #1 career I realized I am on the right path for my future. Another important thing I learned about myself is that I am the type of person to work hard in all aspects of my life. Weather that be academically, socially, personally, but just in all aspects of my life I try very hard; and before this class I thought maybe I am not doing enough but this class has made me realize I really am working hard and trying my best. I think this class has also shown me how mature I already was, and how I am becoming more mature and independent. I was able to realize that I am making my life decisions, and how every decision I make is leading to my future; and how I truly feel like I am maturing just by being here for a few months.
In terms of education I am 100% committed to my education and working hard in my classes. I want to become as successful as I can
There was such a variety of topics covered in this course and I wish that I had taken it in a classroom instead of online. With this online course, I feel like the material went a little too quickly. If I were in a classroom setting, I feel that
My decision to take the class was arguably the greatest decision I have ever made. I instantly fell in love with exercising, working out with others, and learning more about physical fitness. I took the class every year and gained more motivation with every goal I met. When senior year came
I liked everything about this course. The seminars, study plans, and the weekly discussions help
In conclusion I really have learned a lot in this class and really has helped me to manage my time better
My school work and education are taken seriously. I know that my education will certainly affect my future.
Before taking this course I was really excited about what I am going to learn. And I was right! This course is not only interesting but it is also helpful. I have learned that the grade I am having right now is the reflection of my try throughout the entire semester.
There is a lot of things that I have learned about myself in the past few weeks of this course. I have learned many things about myself that I would have never known if it was not for this course. I have learned about my; self concept, attitudes and feelings. I have also learned about social influence, group dynamics and relationships. I learned about myself and how to describe the way that I am and the way that I think.
In the novel life lessons:two experts on death and dying teach us the mysteries of life and living. The novel talks about many lessons such as
Over the course of this class I have pieced together many things about my own life that before went unnoticed. I am now able to see things in a bit of a different light. Now that I have been introduced to the realm of psychology I understand some of the reasons for behavior around me. I have learned that there is a reason for most everything and a lot of our behaviors and mental processes can be explained through psychology. Studies have been conducted for many years to try and pinpoint the source of our behavior and it is not something that most people think about every day. Having a better understanding of why we operate the way we do will help me to better understand myself and the others around me.
I feel like I've learned a lot of thing from this class that I probably would have never thought about before. Firstly, I learned how community colleges work and about some of the policies they go by. I also learned about a lot of different career options that I never explored before. I think this really helped to open my eyes to all the options so I'm not limiting myself. Lastly, and most importantly, I learned about ways of managing stress and my time. This is something I have always struggled with and now I feel like I have the tools to change. I think this will really improve many things in all areas in my life but especially school. It was really great to hear everyone's dreams and goals as well as their stresses. It just shows that
I must admit that I have always looked at this type of course as being a complete waste of time. After taking the Learning Connections Inventory, I've discovered that I'm a Dynamic Learner according to the results of the questionnaire. It's totally shed some light on the how, what, when and why of my success and failures in my educational as well as personal and professional life.
What did you learn this semester? The golden question from all friends and family members when you come home for breaks. One would think that since my first language is English, writing papers would be easy. It should be, but it is not. I have learned that my writing was not as good as I thought it was. I have learned that throwing a paper together last minute does not work as good in college as it did in high school. I realized early on in the semester that I have trouble analyzing pieces of writing, I can give a summary all day, but analysis is not a strong suit of mine. Sometimes teachers believe that we automatically know how to write, we are not born with reading skills. It would be hard to believe if someone said that they learned nothing from English 111. From English 111 I learned that summarizing is not the same as synthesizing. I also learned that I needed to strengthen my critical reading, thinking, and composing skills. I also gained a better use and understanding of rhetoric knowledge such as audience, purpose and evidence. In conclusion English 111 taught me to be more aware of my conventions in writing. I believe that I have gained knowledge in critical thinking, rhetoric information, and conventions from this semester that have strengthened my writing and I can provide examples to back the clause.
All through life, we experience various occasions when decision-making become necessary. A number of them present themselves in difficult forms and at crucial points. Most of the verdict we take will eventually figure and describe our track of lives. These are what we refer to as lessons of life. Choices never present themselves in an easy way. In some instance we are always forced to pay a price to achieve something. This implies that we are trading for an outcome we are seeking.
What I didn’t learn from my highschool class is how to properly set goals. I didn’t know that there was a process and I didn’t realize how helpful it is writing down goals and physically seeing them. I was able to learn S.M.A.R.T goals which helps you structure your goals to a achievable standard. I also learned the different types of goals like long term, short term, and immediate. I learn how important goal setting can be and how it helps you better achieve them.
