The entire company, except the interns, had a company-wide meeting about the issue and sexual assault/harassment within the company. This included the LA office in a video conference and they discussed everything and reiterated how this behavior is not tolerated. Company heads made sure everyone was doing alright and if they had experienced something like this while in the company, plus how to address it. The company’s official statement to press was that they have a zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment and misconduct and were deeply horrified by the allegations made. Obviously, in light of the allegation, Primary Wave lost some of their film and television clients, primarily actors. I honestly think that Primary Wave has handled the issue really well in-house, the higher-ups have made sure all employees are okay and if the situation had triggered anyone. They have put an emphasis on the well-being of their employees instead of just the loss of clients. They are making sure something like this will not happen again and that this is not currently happening in any way. Work has been normal for interns even after all this unraveled. As mentioned, I was one of the publishing and management interns so I had a lot of research work. Weekly I would look into potential artists to add to the company’s repertoire. There were no set requirements for these artists other than being unsigned or unpublished and once this was learned I would conduct more research to pitch them.
