Reflection Paper on Living in the Land of Promise Article

The Bible tells us that man was newborns, children, and adults are all here by the grace of God. Yes, as humans we add meaning and purpose to our life. However, our main purpose from day one is to worship him. (126)

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These words should sound familiar to most people. They were included in the Declaration of Independence, which was mainly written by Thomas Jefferson. The Declaration announced America’s separation from Britain, tyranny, and the monarchy.

The Christian world view on life meaning and purpose is basic and yet different from other world views. Our main resolution in life is to work for God and have a strong connection with him at all times. First and foremost God desires to come first, and all else will tumble into place as long as we believe in him and have complete faith in him also. It is printed that we can only have one master (Matthew 6:24) and for that reason, God believes that serving him must be the highest significant thing for us to do with our period here on earth. Every person on this earth has a great purpose they are going to fulfill throughout their life. I believe my purpose here is to serve God for what he is calling me for. It took a while to know that he was calling to me to become a nurse, and every day that goes by

It's a fundamental belief of mine that each one of us is brought upon this world with a major definite purpose in life. Everyone has a unique destiny for contributing to this world using their unique blend of talents and passions. I have no doubt that most people today work hard and stay busy with daily activities. The problem I've noticed is that many people live their lives without any sense of meaningful purpose that gives their lives passion and significance. They get caught up in the daily mechanical routines of life and they become creatures of habit rather than purpose-driven beings. Finding and shaping your major definite purpose is perhaps the most important thing that you will ever do in your life because your purpose is the driving force that spawns all the achievements that you will ever accomplish and it provides that unlimited source of motivation that drives you to achieve all the goals that you set for yourself and enables you to live life to the fullest.

In Christianity, the purpose of this life is to better your relationship with God and to know Him better. This is also proven in Job 22:21 that if you align yourself with God and are in harmony with that relationship that you will receive good things in this world.

All my life I’ve been trying to find my purpose. I always knew that my purpose in life was to help people, but I didn’t know how I really wanted to accomplish this. Upon graduating high school I was confused

Everyone has a God given purpose to their life. It’s a matter of knowing what that purpose is and using it for good. I believe my purpose in life is to be an achiever and be very consistent through God. The reason I say this is because, I have great goals beyond college, I never give up, and I have great morals. It is great to have great goals beyond college, because that is where God starts to really test you and show you your purpose.

Various individuals have different reasons as to why they exist and what they are supposed to fulfil. The Christian worldview of the meaning and purpose of life is to build and maintain a steady relationship with God. Christians believe in getting salvation as it is the key factor that links them with God. Every person has a different purpose in this world, but the common one is exemplifying and worshiping the Lord (Weider and Gutierrez, 2011).

I believe every individual on Earth exists to make a difference, whether it is to provide care, entertain, educate, or enforce the law and dispense justice. It is our duty to go out into the world and explore what we are capable of. To me, the purpose of life is to follow the journey of our existence and discover how much of an impact we can make in the lives of others. I have devoted my life to being of service to those that surround me. I thrive on being a source of inspiration and motivation to others, which is why becoming a Physician Assistant (PA) is my ultimate goal; it is my dream job.

Our posting may be different, our duties and gifts are not the same, but our job is to do His will and walk according to our calling. The role of a soldier is primarily to complete the mission that is assigned to him or her. Our mission is to do the will of our Heavenly Father. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Many people consider their lives to be a quest for purpose. They search through vocations, relationships, hobbies, and religions to find meaning. Some find it in power. Others find it in money. Some think that they have found it when, in reality, it could not be further from them.

I believe that human being’s all have an underlining purpose in life and it is within their nature to realize their potential and fulfill their goals. Human beings are driven to seek wholeness in their lives and that will always be a continuing journey for most humans. Humans adapt to life’s changes as they encounter various challenges. How one handles those various situations; will directly affect their behavior and personality. I believe humans are capable of dictating the outcome of their destiny.
