Some people are soldiers, but most people are civilians. Some people are saved, while most people are lost. A civilian becomes a soldier when he is enlisted in the army. A person becomes enlisted in God’s army when he is saved by receiving Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. When we receive our salvation, we also receive the burden to seek and save the lost, by leading others to Jesus Christ and helping them to walk the paths of righteousness.
A person that is genuinely saved will no longer live for his own cause, but for the cause of Jesus Christ. He will not live according to his own will, but according to the will of his Heavenly Father, therefore a saved believer in Jesus Christ is also a soldier of Jesus Christ. There are only a few that are saved, while there are many that are perishing.
They perish for the reason that those that are enlisted as soldiers in God’s army are cowards and instead of fighting the battle, they have turned cold and have lost their way. Sadly, Christians are not aware of their battle, they have no clue on which side they are fighting, they have become allies with the enemy, they have deserted their true calling, and are shooting at their own comrades-in-arms.

Our posting may be different, our duties and gifts are not the same, but our job is to do His will and walk according to our calling. The role of a soldier is primarily to complete the mission that is assigned to him or her. Our mission is to do the will of our Heavenly Father. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28: 19-20
Always have compassion, be humble in what my assigned duties are, give respect and reverence unto God, and continue to equip myself for mission work unto God. Keep up with my prayer life, daily devotion and meditational times.
Every believers is called to active participation in the missio dei as servants, or making earth as is in heaven. We have a very real Eschatological hope and expectation, which causes us as the church to engage the lost and pursue those in darkness in anticipation for that day. We await the “fulfillment of God’s universal love, justice, and peace on earth as in heaven,” and act as forerunners, similar to John the Baptist, preparing the way of the Lord and acting as emissaries of His Kingdom which is coming. The Bible describes us as servants who are, “created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.” The Discipline also agrees that servant ministry both a holy privilege and obligation. It is our privilege as believers to serve others as Christ has served us, and is our obligation to live as he commanded us, which hinges on love based service to our neighbors.
Duty: Fulfill your obligations. Doing your duty means more than carrying out your assigned tasks. Duty means being able to accomplish tasks as part of a team. The work of the U.S. Army is a complex combination of missions, tasks and responsibilities — all in constant motion. Our work entails building one assignment onto another. You fulfill your obligations as a part of your unit every time you resist the temptation to take “shortcuts” that might undermine the integrity of the final product.
Christian cries out for Faithful to stop and wait so they can be companions along their travel, but Faithful replies, "No, I am upon my life, and the avenger of blood is behind me" (60). In the story, the life he is trying to save is his real, tangible life. But his running away from the avenger of blood to save his "life" actually symbolizes saving Faithful's spiritual life. Because he has sinned and broken the Ten Commandment, "You shall not kill," he is now being chased by death and if caught, he will kill Faithful; this death characterizes the death of eternal life and therefore not being able to enter heaven (Deuteronomy 5:17). In the bible there is a passage that talks about the avenger of blood and who is he. "This is the provision for the manslayer, who by fleeing there may save his life. If anyone kills his neighbor unintentionally without having been at enmity with him in time past…he may flee to one of these cities and save his life; lest the avenger of blood in hot anger pursue the manslayer and overtake him" (Deuteronomy 19:4-6). Jesus Christ was born without sin, and never sinned throughout his lifetime. Faithful, however, who although did not try to kill his neighbor, killed him unintentionally and therefore, sinned. Jesus would never have caused pain to any living creatures, neither accidentally nor deliberately. This is one example of how Faithful differs from Christ.
Salvation is defined as the deliverance from sin and its consequences. In a Christianity sense, salvation is when a person accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior, and they believe the fact that he died for the sins of Christians. The term of salvation is often referred to as being “saved”. Salvation is when one delivers not only their body in a physical to the church and God, but it is also a committee to Jesus mentally and spiritually. Getting saved can be a very pressuring and life changing decision. That is sometimes forced upon young adolescents. Ultimately it can cause one to question their spiritually sometimes even damaging their belief in Jesus. In Langston Hughes’

acknowledgment that all people are created in the image of God, and therefore have unique and intrinsic value. They further state that human life is sacred, and that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. The Salvation Army also accepts that life beings at the moment of fertilization. So far, so good. Later, in same section, there are shocking contradictions. Further, rape and incest also represent special case[s] for the consideration of termination; these exceptions portray a troubling contradiction
These duties may not be written but implied in the instructions. They're duties that improve the quality of the job and help keep the unit functioning at an optimum level. In most cases, these duties depend on individual initiative. They improve the work environment and motivate soldiers to perform because they want to, not because they have to. For example, while not specifically directed to do so, you hold in-ranks inspections daily to ensure your soldiers' appearance and equipment are up to standards.
This job is very important to provide a safe community, but the army also has many physical and mental duties. It states in the Occupational Outlook Handbook that the U.S military work in jobs such as infantrymen or fighter pilots. The military puts a physical and mental strain on the body from hard labor in training and missions.
This paper on Salvation is defining both objectively and subjectively from the two required reading text. The first text is written by Alistair McGrath’s “Theology: The Basics and the second is written by Dr. Yung Chul Han’s “Transforming Power: Dimension of the Gospel. I will describe how the both texts are in association as well as seeking observations, and other conclusions to gain a better understanding of salvation from both perspectives. According to (Mc.Grath, p.78), the word salvation is referred to as something that has already happened in the past, to something that will happen in the future. Spiritual transformation requires of us what is called dependent responsibility. All the moral commands and exhortations of scripture assume our responsibility. Salvation is deliverance from danger or suffering. The word salvation carries the idea of victory, health, or preservation (www.biblia.com). Salvation can be viewed as a spiritual transformation which the dependency of the Holy Spirit assist in the change of a believers past, self to a vessel of God in the present lives which exemplifies life, deliverance, peace, and a victory won through personal conviction. The victory is one that only Jesus Christ has authority save us which gives believers complete approval to have possession to enter the kingdom of heaven.
2 Timothy 2:1-4, “You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. “
They now commingle with the coward angels, the company of those who were not rebels nor faithful to their God, but stood apart. The heavens, that their beauty not be lessened, have cast them out, nor will deep Hell receive them —even the wicked cannot glory in them. ”(canto 6) "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” This verse talks about two options. One option is to perish, which means to disappear or be destroyed: to cease to exist.
Many in this category are walking among us today. We might call them the “unsaved,” or giving them the benefit of the doubt, might consider them “searching.” However, if they die without embracing the true way, if their hearts have never turned to God, they are lost. And for that reason, they have been condemned to an eternal life that is deserving and seen as fit by the Lord on high. These people might be our next-door neighbors.
