As I was growing up, my parents would make me practice over and over again a certain material I would be struggling with in school or anything they thought I needed to improve on. They would always tell me that practice improves, they are strong believers that we (or at least me) learn best by practicing and doing. Therefore, I have learned that I personally gain better knowledge of concepts or a specific thing by practicing it. I also, consider myself an auditory learner. Seeing stuff clears my thoughts and directly seeing it really helps organize my mind. I specifically like when stuff have a representation that I specifically see and gain knowledge from. I consider myself a strong visual learner rather than auditory because

When writing and drawing what they are visualizing, this helps them retain and better process the information being taught. An auditory learner is when a person learns by speaking and hearing. An auditory learner learns best through lectures. Unlike

Based on my personal inventory evaluation check list I have a combination of learning styles. I am a visual and kinesthetic learner. I definitely learn best when I am taught new information with some type of picture or visual. Also, having the hands on experience I feel helps me to retain information better. I tend to watch a lot of educational videos online because I feel it helps me to process the information and prepare for exams better. During exams I try visualize the

These are all different learning styles for different people auditory is a learning style for people who learn easier through listening to something. visual is when somebody is a visual learner meaning that they learn through sight the best. Some people have more than one learning style they could be visual and auditory or kinetic and auditory or all of them.
Humans differ from each other. Some people like to change themselves in a better way, and other accept how bad they are. Your concern may be correct, but it doesn't apply to all kinds of people especially for the one that read this book. Writing journal help people to be honest and it's a way of discovering out new things about themselves such as strengths and weaknesses. However, people may lie about a bunch of stuff, so they don't feel shame in front of the reader, but deep inside their heart they know what the truth is. On the other hand, you may not notice the difference in the writer after his/her first journal entry; things may take an 180-degree turn when it is the finale. For instance, my first writing journal isn't similar to this.
The way I learn is depending on the style of learning.I am mostly a visual and a tactile learner. As a visual learner I like mostly to read or see how its done.If I need anything explained I like to see a picture or imagine it how its suppose to be.When I want to take notes I need to see the board as notes written on it or a presntation explaning either steps or diractions or notes this will give me a better understanding. As a visual learner I like my things very organized and marked by any color or labeled or else it will make me feel very confused and irritated. An example of a visual learner if i need to get directions to a place i need things to be explained and descriped to me this way I can make it to the place i need to go to. In thinking about how my knowledge and beliefs about communication have changed or grown resulting from participation in this course and the positive impact. I would have to say I am grateful for the knowledge I am gaining, due to the improved care I can offer, as well as a broadened knowledge surrounding dementia.
Stacy, I agree with you on being a visual learner, I also like taking lots of notes, or having handouts which I can refer back to. I do the same thing when it comes to reading, which sometimes hinders me from soaking the information in, that is why I also agree it is important to know your stengths and weaknesses, so you can continue to sharpen your strengths and also learn ways to sharpin your
The inference is those who take knowledge as a collection of data, not as segmented bits along with the attaining of a higher level of education were equipped for complex or critical thinking. This enabled each to understand the complexity of life, make crucial decisions, understand varying viewpoints and able to adapt as understanding grew. These assumptions have a practical significance and affect research.
Ever since I was little I have always been able to make pictures and movies in my head. After taking the Edutopia Survey on learner styles, I discovered I was a visual learner. I feel that is accurate because I am one who likes to see with my eyes and touch with my hands. This helps me think better and understand things more clearly. I know that me being a visual learner is going to help me in school.
Sonya, I am a visual and kinesthetic learner, which means that I have to see something done and then physically do it with my hands to fully understand the concept. In high school, I had trouble reading something off of the computer and being able to remember it. But if I had actual copy of a textbook in my hand, I was able to pick up and remember the information quickly and easily. It is so cool that we have a few of the same learning styles.
