It influences peoples everyday life all around the world. 1000 people die and millions are wounded every single day, because of gun violence. Mostly in the developing countries gun violence is really bad. They do not have suitable laws for guns and this is why criminals, kids and unstable people gets hold of a gun easily. Like I already stated that gun violence is a contentious topic. Everybody talks about it, but no one is doing anything momentous about it. Even nowadays there are no federal laws forbidding guns in the US.
Gun control is a controversial issue for a long time around the world, particularly in U.S. because of a lots of mass shooting in school and public places. The second Amendment of the U.S. constitution is one of the shortest in all of the bill of right, it was written by the time period of American’s birth and it is the spirit of self-defense that help the new citizens of U.S. win their own freedom from the British. Gun violence is a very serious matter that is affecting communities all over the United States. The crimes caused by guns affects everyone in some way, shape, or form. From losing loved ones to our neighborhoods not being safe anymore, the United States has the highest number of gun deaths per year. More importantly it affects the youth of the world in a negative way, leaving it emotionally or physically scarred, or even worse, dead. If we take a stand I believe we can put an end to gun violence and gun crimes once and for all.
One of the major issues that we are facing in our community is gun violence that is occurring amongst children and teens or affecting them. According to the Brady Campaign, “More than 17,000 American children and teens (between the ages of 0-19) are injured or killed each year due to gun violence.” That is 17,000 of our children being murdered, assaulted, attempting suicide or being hurt by police officers intervening every single year. They also state that “nearly 46 youth are shot every day, including 7 fatalities” Something has to be done in order to protect the lives of those innocent children and teach them about the responsibilities of handling a firearm or being around one. Although some
Gun violence has been a problem for quite a long time in America and it can't go on. Gun violence needs to come to a stop, but what is going to happen to bring it to an end. Gun violence and crimes seems to have become a public health crisis and epidermis that won't easily go away unless effective action are taken. Most black people are beginning to learn how to adjust to this new norms. The major concern of most black families at this point is the safety of
On December 14, 2012, twenty-six people- twenty students and six adults- were shot and killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School by 20-year-old Adam Lanza. This is famously known as “The Sandy Hook Shooting.” Adam’s mother, Nancy Lanza left three guns- a semi-automatic AR-15 assault rifle made by Bushmaster and pistols made by Glock and Sig Sauer- in the house, which is where Adam got his firearms. Before Adam left he shot his mother and left her dead. (CNN) Guns are a dangerous weapon, but more importantly, they can cause many deaths if put in the wrong hands.
This article is by CNN and has the title of A generation raised on gun violence sends a loud message to adults: Enough, this is talked about throughout the article. They also talk about the agenda for what the students wanted by doing all the walk outs and protest. Ban assault weapons, Require universal background checks before gun sales; Pass a gun violence restraining order law that would allow courts to disarm people who display warning signs of violent behavior: this is what they stated that they wanted to get from all the protest. But they continue and talk about how students did sit outs where they were still in class but they did not do any work, because they were receiving threats of getting suspend or marked absent from the school.
Gun violence in the United States is a current issue and does not go unnoticed. According to the Gun Violence Archive currently in 2017, the “total number of incidents is 42,964 (2017)“ involving gun related injuries. Within the THiNK textbook there were two articles within the reading to compare peoples view on guns and how they should be controlled. One of the articles was called “Stop Worrying About Guns in the Classroom. They’re Already Here,” by Erik Gilbert. Who makes a claim that whether or not the students and faculty is aware, people are already bringing guns on to campuses. With Americas history of active shooters students have a decreased sense of security, therefore want to increase their protection, whether or not it
In today’s America, violence is becoming a great concern to everyone in the nation. One of the major problems in America is the way it's portrayed instead of handled. There many people trying to intensify gun control laws; but, increasing gun control laws is not that way to go. Although, weapons have the potential to kill, they are also used for protection.
In 2015, 13,367 people lost their lives due to gun violence according to Gun Violence Archive. The Archive also states that out of that number, 693 were children from ages 0-11. We can all agree that there is indeed a problem that we have to address. The solution to that problem, however, has been debated by many. I believe the solution to this problem exists in three parts: Mandatory training and licensing along with more heavily secure gun storage, stricter regulations on the purchasing of a firearm—disabilities and criminal records should be more deeply looked into before transaction—and finally, equipping teachers at highs schools with the right kind of weaponry to prevent mass shootings.

This bill failed (NRA).As the country continues to grow, crime will always exist. The attack on firearms will always be a battle to fight against the minority of politicians in
Everyday 93 Americans are killed by guns. Whether it is due to homicide or suicide, it does not matter. At the end of the day gun violence is increasing exponentially. In numerous states, gun laws have been placed in the hopes of reducing gun violence. But now many people believe that gun violence should be treated as a public health problem. I for one feel that gun violence should be put in the category of public health. Every year more than 30,000 people are victims to gun related incidents. It has become such an issue that gun violence is causing more deaths than some life threatening diseases.
