Chapter 3 Methodology
This chapter describes the methodology which is used to aim objectives of this research study.
OFBiz is an ERP system which is used for developing capital and financing service platform (SKD Capital). SKD Capital has to communicate with database called MySQL.
3.1 Initial Installation for SKD Capital: New system
This section describes the initial installation for SKD Capital which includes parts of requirement description, architecture overview and database schema analysis.
3.1.1 Requirement Description
3.1.1.1 Existing System
Here the existing system is a manual one which the banking agent can’t maintain effective sharing of information across different branches with proper security and can’t track details easily.

Customer can apply for a loan and track his file details from online.
The decision process is faster and more consistent
Provides good communication between two departments
Provides a facility to generate the reports very easily.
3.1.1.3 FEASIBILITY REPORT
Feasibility study is the high level capsule version of the entire requirement analysis process. The objective of feasibility study is to determine whether the proposed system can be developed with available resources.
There are three steps to be followed for determining the feasibility study of proposed system.
Technical Feasibility
Operational Feasibility
Economical Feasibility
Technical Feasibility: It is concerned with hardware and software feasibility. In this study, one has to test whether the proposed system can be developed using existing technology or not. If new technology is required ,what is the likely hood that it can be developed ? The organization for which the system to be developed is not provided online services .Hence there is a requirement of new hardware and software technology for the deployment of proposed system. As per client requirements the system to be developed should have speed response because of fast change info,
This chapter covers the background and rationale, statement of the opportunity, purpose, research questions, nature of the study, definition of key terms, the significance of the study, assumptions, and limitations. It also covers the scope, worldview and theoretical foundation depicting the logical path of the research study.
Feasibility study: - address two main questions, which are, Is the projects feasible and can it be justified? At the stage of feasibility study the implications and costs of development are not known.
The purpose of this project is to conduct an analysis research into the implementation and management of this business enterprise system. This project deals with developing and upgrading the computer system to handle to daily work load of our business while being able to conduct communication between sites and data back-up. Furthermore, we will analyze other various architectures features such as: system requirements, architecture selection, resources and timeline, security and the
The framework suggested by Walker and Avant was used for the analysis described in this research. The method of research included:
SSC provides information technology (IT) services and consulting, including developmental solutions, IT integration, system analysis, design, and implementation. SSC will has submitted a proposal to KFF that details the development processes for the FSP project. This paper is a technical specification that lists the project’s logical and physical models, including hardware, network, software, database, controls, and other development related requirements.
Description: all applications must have a clear business purpose, and the technology infrastructure in general must align with business requirements.
The methodology chosen is qualitative in nature and involves an extensive review of literature in this area of study.
Economic feasibility attempts 2 weigh the costs of developing and implementing a new system, against the benefits that would accrue from having the new system in place. This feasibility study gives the top management the economic justification for the new system.
After investigated the current system, the analyst need to decide an overall design of the system.
Feasibility study: - address two main questions, which are, Is the projects feasible and can it be justified? At the stage of feasibility study the implications and costs of development are not known.
There are number of tasks to be considered prior to developing such as interviews, identification, operating concepts. The main target of this phase is to summarize the complete requirement and what is the proposed system
The research is presented through five chapters: Chapter 1 is an introduction to the study with background, research questions and purposes. Chapter 2 contains related concepts, literature review previous researches and theoretical models. Chapter 3 presents research approach, collection procedure and analysis tool. Chapter 4 discusses findings obtained from the collected data. Chapter 5 provides discussions and recommendations.
At this stage the system requirements are collected and defined. Every existing systems can also be evaluated and each inadequacy can be highlighted.
n The objectives of a feasibility study are to find out if an information system project can be done (...is it possible?...is it justified?) and to suggest possible alternative solutions. n A feasibility study should provide management with enough information to decide: - whether the project can be done - whether the final product will benefit its intended
The Feasibility study is an analysis of possible alternative solutions to a problem and a recommendation on the best alternative. It can decide whether a process be carried out by a new system more efficiently than the existing one.
