Restate the goals you identified in Week 1 of this course. If any of these goals have changed, provide the rationale for the shift based on your learning in this course. If there are no changes to your initial goals, describe how the insights you have gained from this course supported your commitment to these original goals.
The pristine goals that I posted within the first week of class appear generic and do not have a concrete substructure. After assessing the provided videos, I have redesigned the direction and goals that I will set for myself. The following three goals preside over everything else in my life and will play a major part in my new timeline. First, achieving the Doctorate Degree is the number one goal in my life. This goal dictates the prosperity of the following two goals in the aspect of molding my credibility as both an employee for my future employment and dismantling all economic and psychological barriers for my children. Second, acquiring employment that will not only provide enough incentive to pay off student loans, as well as contingent upon financial stability. Finally, family in theory agglutinates the three goals while providing motivation supporting the first two goals. Financial stability and setting an example for my children is important to me. The way we live our lives sets substructures and provides principal elements for our children. Overall, my success in both education and economic provides a starting point for my children.

Some of the goals of schooling and society in the United States are to develop students and citizens, who have high aspirations, believe in their capabilities, are hopeful they can realize their aspirations, and are optimistic about their future in general. Such characteristics are important because each leads to overall well-being (Bandura, 1977; Scheirer & Carver, 1985; Snyder et al., 1991), student achievement and higher graduation rates (Snyder et al., 2002) through a personal sense of urgency which allows them to take control of their life, challenge themselves, persevere through difficulties, and cope when obstacles arise (McBride, 2012).
The professional long-term goal is to become a Director for student retention and academic success at a university which will allow me to accomplish and bring together all of my three goals in one position. Personally, obtaining a master’s will allow me to
In order to be successful academically there are some things we need to know, goal setting is one of them and maybe not a lot of us know how to meet educational goals without getting side tracked by other things that are going on in our life. I had no idea how much I needed to think about how I would help myself continuing my academic success until this general education class I had to take opened my mind to new ideas. Setting educational goal
5. What learning objectives and goals have you set for yourself in this course this semester? What do you hope to learn? What
Our goals in life reminds us that we hold the key to elevate ourselves, to reach our full potential of success. Using that key we unlock the door to success, testimonies and motivation to those whom hold important places in our hearts. However, obstacles and trials can shift our goals in another path, which will direct us to back to the goals in question. An important goal for me was to attain my Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I challenged myself and made it a priority to ensure the goal reached full execution until in 2004, my goal detoured in another direction when I gave birth to my son.
I understand that in order to achieve my goal, I will have to make many sacrifices such as continuing to balance a full time job with family responsibilities and numerous difficult classes. I will work hard and plan to put a lot of effort into my classes to assure success in each of them.
Setting goals has allowed has helped me to become a more successful and creative person. I’ve noticed when working on my assignments, I perform better and my grades have improved. Now that I am closer to my goals I am much happier and less stressed. Another thing I learned about goals are that they must be my own in order for them to work for me. Owning my own healthcare agency one day is one of my most important goal. Networking allowed me to get an idea of places I would like to work upon graduation. Some of the nursing homes in the area where I live would be a great place to start because it would give me a sense of direction. Visiting these places will be a critical part of my success. Preparing myself by setting goals and networking have made me a stronger candidate to enter the business
Above all, my personal goals are to learn as much as I can and make my family and myself proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’ve realized that college is a great opportunity to further my education and I want to take advantage of that by taking in as much knowledge as possible. The reason for this goal is to know that I did the very best I could when I graduate college. Not only will that make me proud but it will make my family proud too. Staying motivated, focused, and determined is going to be the key to
As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy-tale like, we tend to see life through a rose-colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.
7. Creating Actionable Goals related to obtaining your Graduate Degree- All the goals that I plan to use will be strong and hopefully attainable; I think that all
The goals are a personal investment of my time, commitment, and effort in planning for my future. My goals represent a clear path with a timeframe to achieve my goals, such as completing my bachelor’s degree, attending workshops for advancing my technological skills, and obtaining a higher level position in my current workplace or finding new employment.
An obvious goal as a working adult returning to school is, of course, to earn a degree. My overall goal is no different than any other student, however, I also have several personal goals I hope to achieve while attending the University. Some of these goals are to acquire new skills and enhance my current business abilities, to apply what I learn in the classroom to forward my career, and to feel personal satisfaction of finishing something I started.
Everyone should have personal goals that evolve around anything that needs to be accomplished. I set goals on a daily basis. One goal that I seem to have not truly focused on has been my college education. Considering all things, I decided I needed to focus on my college education. The first thing I needed to accomplish was to enroll in an institution for higher learning. Now that my enrollment is complete, I am an official student at the University enrolled in the undergraduate program for business management. As a student at the university, I now have to set personal goals so that I will be successful in my endeavors. My personal goals are to gain personal growth and development and graduate from my undergraduate program in business
