The River Valley in Southwest Asia became the home of some great early civilizations. Some of these civilizations include Mesopotamia, Egypt, and China. Many great contributions in architecture, government, writing, and many other subjects came from each of the previous civilizations listed. Without the civilizations, many agricultural advances that occurred over the years may have taken much longer, and possibly never happened. All of the contributions took a lot of effort mentally to create such as new writing systems or designing the pyramids. The many contributions from each civilization certainly helped the whole world in many ways. The first civilization along the River Valley was Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia contributed by creating a new writing system and a new, more efficient form of laws. The Sumerians, who lived in Mesopotamia, invented the world's first written language called cuneiform. The writing system helped the civilization keep track of business records, record new ideas, and develop the area more efficiently. A man named Hammurabi invented a new code of laws called Hammurabi's Code in 1754 B.C. The code contained 282 laws that improved the way someone was punished. It …show more content…
Advances in architecture and record keeping occurred during the Egypt civilization. In the old kingdom of Egypt, huge structures of stone called pyramids. Those who worked on the structures had to be skilled in mathematics, geometry, and architecture. The building of the pyramids required a ton of mental thinking and planning, and was a huge success for architecture advancement. Today we know much about ancient pharaohs of Egypt because of written records that were left. These records were kept in hieroglyphics. Hieroglyphics were a new form of writing invented by the Egyptians that were based on pictures. Since they were invented, we know a good deal as to what happened during the Egyptian time
Seventy-five years ago today was the beginning of some terrible times along the Tug River. At that time, what is now Mingo County, was a part of Logan County, home of the Hatfields. Across the Tug is Pike County, home of the McCoys. The McCoy’s lived in Pike County, Kentucky area while the Hatfields lived in Logan County, West Virginia area. The two were separated by the Tug River. The majority of the family members on each side fought during the American Civil war. They all fought on the confederate side except for Asa Harmon McCoy. He was the one “traitor” of the family and fought or the Union. Devil Anse Hatfield was the head of the Hatfield’s while Randolph McCoy lead the McCoy family. They both had very large families, close to a dozen

In the otherwise pleasant, historic, and scenic town of Toms River, it is shocking to find a disgusting, diseased den of drifters, derelicts, drug dealers, deadbeats, and death that encourages the worst of slithering subhuman activities like a really bad movie with screaming, fighting, loud music, prostitutes, roaches, and drugs everywhere, all which can be described as a shrieking nightmare. Local law enforcement arrests, surveillance, and warnings to the chameleon management are long well known. This dump is an outrageous testament to social services abuse as it is offensive to the good people of Toms River. It should disappear

Ancient Egypt is often divided into three kingdoms of prosperity, the old, middle, and new kingdoms. During the old kingdom (2613-2160 BCE), a social structure begins to take shape in the newly unified society. At the top of the structure is the Pharaoh (or the almighty ruler of Egypt and is worshiped as mortal version of god), moving down pyramid we then have other government officials (nobles and priests), soldiers, scribes (experts in hieroglyphics), merchants, craftsmen, and the farmers and slaves. During the end of the old kingdom, and all throughout the middle (2040-1750 BCE) and new (1550-1070 BCE) kingdoms of ancient Egyptian society, the building of
Fish for example, also move in the direction the river current is moving which makes it easier to catch the fish (White, Page 15). Plants also thrive when they have an abundant amount of water. Being near water means it does not have to be transported a big distance which is easier on the person or animal moving the water. The ground is also moister being near since the ground around it is eroding and absorbing the water. The Fertile Crescent region is where the most fertile soil was for agricultural use. Plants thrived in this area because of the soil fertility and the amount of fresh water that was readily available since the Fertile Crescent is located on several important water features. Having fresh water available, led to wild edible
Its no exaggeration to say that we owe most of our ancient Egyptian knowledge to the work of Egyptian scribes. The ancient Egyptians employed scribes to record everything from the Tax records and proceedings in court to the stocks held in the stores for workers. Approximately 99 percent of ancient Egyptians were illiterate the scribes were among the few literate people. The hieroglyphic language of the ancient Egyptians was complex and beautiful and those who had mastered it held a valued position in society, this is possibly why scribes were considered members of the royal court. Scribes were central to the functioning of centralised administration, the army and the priesthood this is because very little happened in ancient Egypt which did
The ancient Egyptians utilized many basic methods of science and technology over the course of their culture’s era. You can find examples of these marvels in practically any aspect of their workings. From architecture to agriculture, medicinal practices and time keeping, one thing is for sure, they set a tone for the progression of technology over the centuries. Without these basic beginnings, we would not have what we have today.
It tells a detailed story of the pharaoh leader, the gods, and plants and animals.
These four civilizations affected the world in many ways. In fact, some of their inventions are so great, they are still used and practiced these days, like written laws and languages from Mesopotamia, enormous buildings from Egypt, Buddhism and the number system from India, and finally, most of the inventions from China. Thanks to them, we can have the lives we have right now.
The structures of things buildings were like pyramids. They found the information that relates to Geometry, produced a calendar with 365 days. Overall this civilization left a big impact with ideas and techniques that help us today despite the negative
