Rome's Relationship With The Greeks

For a long time, the Romans had not appreciated the ways of the Greeks. In fact, the Romans had a rocky relationship with them. However, as time went on, the Romans started borrowing some ideas from the Greeks. These ideas included (but were not limited to) government, religion, clothes, architecture and art.

Government:

Like the Greeks, the Romans developed a democracy as their government. The Romans didn’t entirely replicate the democracy of the Greeks, but instead took the idea and re-interpreted it to fit their standards. Using a democracy became very helpful to the Romans.

Religion:

Just as they did with government, the Romans took the religion of the Greeks and re-interpreted it. Like the Greeks, the Romans had many Gods. However,
