Ronald Reagan was the 40th president of the United States. He didn't only succeed in the president's seat. He also was an amazing actor/ TV star before presidency.

Over many years, many presidents have come and gone. All of them typically have done something to “define” them or something that makes them different or to stand out from all the others. But Ronald Reagan was different. His impact was possibly the most controversial of them all. Some argue that many of the problems in the world today have been caused by him.

Reagan’s father nicknamed him Dutch as a baby, saying he resembled “a fat little Dutchman.” Reagan’s father was Catholic and his mother was Presbyterian, Reagan identified himself with being Presbyterian his whole life. Religion was an important part to Reagan’s life.

He was an actor for 30 years before he became involved in politics. He starred in more than 50 movies. Along with acting, he was also a radio sportscaster. He served as the 33rd Governor of California. He was married to Jane Wyman from 1940 to 1949. He married Nancy Davis in 1952.

His parents were John Edward Reagan, born July 13, 1883 and died May 18, 1941, and Nelle Wilson Reagan, born July 24, 1883 and died July 25, 1962.
