Rudie Can’t Fail” caught my attention because of its mix of sounds. The song is a hybrid of rock and reggae while also containing bits of jazz. Both Joe and Mick contribute lead vocals, and the part of their contribution I most enjoyed is their duel chant “Rudie can’t fail”. I liked it as statement at the end of each verse because, when coupled with light drum riff, it was a transition that created a smooth harmony that helped the song progress. However, I preferred the repetition of “Rudie Can’t Fail” that began at 2:26 and lasted until the end of the song because of the variety of instrumental undertones that came with it, including clinking of glass, horn riffs, and shouts. The repetition of the line makes it into a powerful statement about
Raury uses his diction to express his stance on societal ideals throughout the song. In the first verse, Raury verbalizes, "I won't compromise/ I won't live a life/ On my knees"(1-3). The phrase "on my knees" has a customary connotation with surrendering. The meaning behind "I won't compromise" is the speaker vowing to not alter his disposition to fit the standards society has created for him. Raury continues to explain his position as the social pariah: the kid who's looked down upon and ignored out of disdain by adults. Although his situation seems daunting, the speaker is still able to encourage himself that he is worthy.
Made as a theme song for the movie “Rocky III”, the song’s lyrics include the journey of a man who is on his struggle to survive with strong will and determination. The popular lines from the song: “Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet, Just a man and his will to survive” represent an individual’s ultimate struggle to survive through their hardships and challenges while compromising through the process.
U2 have always produced rhetorically powerful songs. From the spiritually driven "I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For" to the blatantly sexual "If You Wear That Velvet Dress," audiences have been persuaded to examine their religious doubts as well as to give in to their emotions. Never a band content in sticking to one style, their music has evolved and taken many forms. Their more recent songs show a level of complexity so far unsurpassed in music, drawing heavily on the ambiguity of paradox in songs like "So Cruel" while evoking sensory overload with the aid of the list structure in "Numb." But one of the most powerful songs dates back to their early years, when their style was Senecan-like, seemingly simpler and more direct. "Sunday
These vocals become more prevalent in the second part of the film, after Lola failed the first time. We understand from the visuals and Lola’s internal thoughts that she means to succeed.
Earlier I mention about RU 486 used in medical abortion, now I would like to share the results of the procedure.
Last of all,Mentors also benefited Rameck a lot throughout his experience by preaching to him. Rameck is a kid with both positive and negative characteristics. He was smart and got a higher grade than any other students, but he preferred to hand out with gangsters and bad guys during high school. One day his grandmother, Ma explained to him that a smart person should not let the wrong people impact himself. As she said, “Don’t let the wrong group of friends influence you.(58)” This quote was a prediction of Rameck’s future because he really got in trouble by his negative groups of friends. Ma was one of the most trustable people to Rameck, that is why Rameck told to her about his trouble. She played a role of Mentor in Rameck’s life. In fact,
Riptide, by Vance Joy, is filled with metaphors, which tell the tale of someone they love running towards danger. Vance Joy writes indie folk music, a mix between traditional folk, country, and rock music. This song can be used as entertainment and as human expression. The reason I find this song comfortable is due to the memories and feelings that I associate to the song.
Publius Cornelius Tacitus authored the Annals to chronicle the demise of Roman leader Augustus and the ensuing crisis of seeking a new leader. In his alledgedly factual, unbiased, and scholar-oriented piece, Tacitus attempts to write a definitive history for the time period but draws the attention of skeptics to his cruel portrayal of Tiberius. (Topic) Although some readers may argue that Tacitus exaggerated the scope of Tiberius’s early failures in leadership, (Argument) Rome faced a serious (and well-depicted) problem with Tiberius’s rule (Reason) due to his early overconfidence and fear in taking the position.
In the chorus shows a lot of the motivation in by saying that “you can” or “you could” over and over again. “You can be a master… You could beat the world”. It telling the listener that you can over and over again will make you believe that you can. The singer says “Be students Be teachers Be politicians Be preacher” which kind of shows that you can do what you put
Finally, missing Texas was too much for the Riordans. They came back to San Antonio in 1998 where he took a job at Saint Mary’s Hall teaching middle-school English and social studies. Most of Riordan’s students knew that he was an author outside of teaching. Riordan often had to tell his students that his books were not age appropriate for middle school students, but this did not stop them from reading them. He was always questioned why he didn’t write kids books, but he never had a response. During his teaching years at Saint Mary’s, he was also a full-time dad with two sons, Haley and Patrick. In the second grade, Haley struggled with reading and writing and was later diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. This would soon change everything.
Now is Control V driving me irate (no she don’t no other reason than to mean paste) Verse 2 Now Control V, the leading lady in my life now has gotta mean paste (and she doesn’t annoy me or complains) (she don’t got no other reason than to mean paste) Chorus
The off-beat sequences of the electric guitar create a reggae feel for the song endorsing it to be mellow. Throughout the song, the electric guitar does not have any solos but variations of its sequence are repeated throughout the structure of the song. Doing so gives the lead singers’ message more priority. The domination of the classic drum kit creates a ‘head-bobbing’ motion for some when listening to this song, helping it become more popular and an easily enjoyable song.
In the song ‘u’, on the album called ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’, is one of my favorite representations as mentioned earlier. The song starts off by contradicting

‘No Way’ from Fifth Harmony was released on 2016 and portrays a strong message. This song is played in a minor key, in a binary form, strophic form, has a medium tempo to it, and has a repeated melody throughout the whole song. The instruments that are used in this song mostly are the drums and the piano. The music has the same pattern and rhythm but what makes it a great song are the actual lyrics. Briefly, the song is about a relationship that is toxic from the outside even though for the couple is love. The fact that the song is written in a minor key it conveys the mood to sadness. By the emotion and expression that the singers show when singing the song shows how they poured their feelings into this song, in some concerts the girls would cry when it came to singing this song, their emotions would appeal to our feelings. There are two verses, two pre-choruses, and two choruses, the lyrics are repeated as well. The combination of the music with the text is more appealing since the
