Did you choose your destination for this summer? It are you prepared everything you need for the trip? What is your favorite place? How can I choose the best place for tourism? What language does that country speak? These are the hardest questions for many people in the summer time. First of all, what does tourism mean? Tourism is an activity carried out by any person or group of people who are going from one place to another or from one country to another in order to visit a particular place or several places. Tourism can used for entertainment or relaxation and to learn new information about other cultures (Lundberg 4).
In addition, there are many types of tourism around the word. For example, religious tourism, medical tourism, social tourism, sports tourism, shopping

San Diego Zoo Global is a not revenue driven association that works the San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Safari Park, and the San Diego Zoo institute for Conservation Research. According to sandiegozoo.com. "the zoo was founded on October 2, 1916, by Harry M. Wegeforth, M.D. It currently has a 12-member Board of Trustees headed by Richard Gulley; Douglas G. Myers is the zoo's executive director." San Diego Zoo Global is the largest zoological participation relationship on the planet, with more than a half million personalities (see fag.2).
Zoo is home to over 3,700 infrequent and endangered wild life representing more than 650 species and subspecies, and a prominent botanical collection with more than 700,000 exotic plants. It is located just north of downtown Sin Diego in Balboa Park (About San Diego Zoo Global). You can spend the whole day inside the zoo to see many rare and different animals. Also, some endangered animal, such as a Giant Panda, Flaming, Grizzly Bear, Polar Bear, Tiger, and the Koala (Fins Animals).
The City Zoo is a private non-profitable, volunteer and professional service organization, started in 1905 when “Samantha Fresaer donated a hedgehog to the city park” when it was run by the City itself, until the year 1982 the ownership has been transferred to the Zoological Society. Ever since the City Zoological Society took over the leadership the local economy increased and the zoo made almost 8% in local economy for each tax dollar it
The exhibits are also very fascinating, and after going to the zoo you can catch a glimpse of a certain animal's way of life. Without zoos we wouldn't have the unbelievable experience of seeing Earth's most beautiful life forms. Zoos keep endangered species safe, and out of harms way. We need to start caring about the life forms on this planet. Showing each animal compassion, and love. My knowledge on zoos has been stretched after my reading analysis today. Based off of the articles, "The Stripes Will Survive", "The Zoos Go Wild", and "Our Beautiful Macaws and Why They Need Enrichment", we can truly get in-depth analysis about the role zoo's
Tourism has become a commercial business, which has obvious benefits to the said economy, the environment and society. Often, the positive economic impacts persuade governments, companies and individuals to get involved with the development of tourism. Tourism creates jobs, both
The oldest zoo in the world still in existence is the Tiergarten Schönbrunn in Vienna, Austria. The modern day zoological parks look like a Safari. As I am standing under a lattice of positive ions surrounded by a cloud of delocalized electrons. I realize that the Sacramento Zoo needs to be updated. The Sacramento Zoo is located in the capital city of California it should be supported by both county sales taxes and public donations because both types of revenue are necessary for a zoo to continue with the conservation and natural habitats in which animals can thrive, should resemble a scene of an African Amazon, and be the best place to learn about Wildlife.
Zoos take giant roles to protect animals. In the magazines I read, "The Stripes Will Survive", and "The Zoos Go Wild," and the video that I watched called "Behind the Scenes with the National Zoo's Lion Cubs.", there are ways that they help the animals.
Zoos present a certain blend of nature and culture. They have always provided a way to bring natural wildlife and urban Americans together as a means of entertainment. Yet, throughout the years the role of zoos have changed. Though once used for amusement, zoos are now being used for education on preservation and the welfare of endangered species. One may wonder where and how the idea of zoos started and just how they, and the environment around them, have changed throughout history.
Founded in 1875 in Buffalo, New York, the Buffalo Zoo quickly became a popular tourist attraction. However, as time went on, the outdated buildings and unenthusiastic employees led to a decline in zoo visitors. The zoo began to face several challenges, and the most significant was the fear of losing its accreditation. The president at the time devised a plan to move the Buffalo Zoo to Delaware Park, but that was quickly blocked by employees of the zoo and members of the community. With no support and no where to turn, the president decided to resign. This left the zoo with no plan, and no one to guide them. After extensive searching, the zoo made the decision to hire 43-year-old Donna Fernandes. Donna had an extensive background in education and experience in management and caring for animals. Although Donna seemed like the perfect candidate for the position, she was warned that the employees and community would be reluctant to accept her due to previous negative experiences with poor management and failed attempts to save the zoo. This did not deter Donna, and she worked hard to change those negative experiences into positive ones.
Now there are modern zoos in almost every city in the world that boasts different arrays of animals. With all these different zoos around the world, we see different approaches on how these animals are treated and what they are subjected to.
Zoos are a dynamic educational source that enhances our community. Zoos raise awareness about jeopardized species and the significance of preservation. Zoos may help us to comprehend animals. They offer a good tool for our societies by lodging and dealing with creatures that may have been in peril at one point in their life. “100,000 kids come to London Zoo every year to learn about creatures.”[3] Usually when people come to zoos and they are taught about the conservation of some of the endangered species, a lot of these people get motivated and inspired to do something about it either by donating money or volunteering to help and so on.
The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is one of the most popular zoos among hundreds of zoos present in the United States of America having a major collection of animals which is still in its growth phage. This zoo is situated in the center of Roeding Park in Fresno, California having unique collection of animals which makes the difference from other zoo. The size of the area occupied by this zoo is not so much large but having 18 acres. The zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and is a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).
The second graph shows us the largest zoo in the world. Such as Berlin zoological garden which include about 1500 species, 19,500 animals in total and the area has occupied about 84 acres. The concept of zoos have improved a lot, they built bigger zoos and contribute a lot of money for animals to design the
The zoo, as an institution, has changed and evolved over thousands of years of human history. And while zoological gardens have improved immensely, and now appear to have a greater purpose than its predecessors, it has always, and still is, generating an active debate over its existence. The zoo can be looked at from several different angles. The zoo holds itself as a conservation community, research oriented for captive breeding, and an educational center for young minds. All the while working in the entertainment industry and running their facilities like a business. They contradict themselves with those different aspects, yet they still manage to somehow find justification for each. The Giant Panda, known in the scientific community as
Leisure / Holiday Tourism are the most common form of travel that can be defined in a board meaning. There are two main purposes that can be described as a term of Leisure / Holiday tourism which are Relaxation and Sightseeing:
Tourism define as “visitors who visit the different place or country from their usual environment less than a year for any reason such as business meeting, holidays, education tour, sports tour are known as tourism” (UNWTO, 2010).
The sun was shining, the sky was spotted with clouds, and the wind was whistling as it passed through the trees. Overall, it was the perfect day to visit the zoo. Smiling, happy children bounded beside me as I walked underneath the large, blue and yellow sign announcing “The Colorado Zoo.” As I walked onto the sidewalk, I looked out over the “habitats.” The big, colorful signs advertising the exotic animals “brought from all over the world!” Animals that were taken from their home, taken from their habitats, and taken to a world where they are put on display. Animals who are forced to live out their lives in zoos in unhealthy, degrading, and devastating ways.
