1) If you answer yes to the above question regarding health insurance, can you tell me if using health insurance removes communication barriers when visiting a doctor?

As this semester has begun, and I have begun to adjust to this course’s requirements, expectations, and goals I have found myself taking more risks and challenging my prior writing style. I’ve been a little apprehensive with my writing style this semester and feel that at times I may be missing the entire ideas of the topic. Although I do the work and get a good grade, I always feel uncertain before posting a blog or turning in my final assignment. Although the entire courses topic is nothing foreign to me it has become a challenge for me to write about.

CENS 303A is my third distance online course at University of British Columbia. It allowed me to learn about the history of the Holocaust, which is an event that I am not particularly familiar. Even though we might not talk about this topic often, it’s still something that we must never forget. Not only did this course educate me about the timeline, historical figures involved but it also helped me understand the realm of darkness in Auschwitz concentration camps.

This paper seemed very easy to me while I was writing it. After reading the response on the rough draft, I have realized that I need to spend more time proofreading and editing my papers. I thought I did very well on this paper but I was wrong. It seems like every time something seems very easy, I usually get a poor grade on it. After viewing the tips that were left on my paper I have found out that I need to work on many things. Some of these things include the length of my paragraphs, repetitive use of one specific word, adding more personal experiences into my writing, and organizing my thoughts effective enough to where they reach the page requirements of papers. I found these tips very helpful because it has been quite a while since I have written an actual paper. I appreciate that I have a teacher that will actually take their time on each and every paper and leave comments on how to improve that

This self-change paper will outline my educational evolution, particularly with emphasis on improving future educational and career goals. I will also implement a time-line for the educational goals, and my personal development to achieve them. The foundational effect of my initial educational experience starting in the New Orleans public school system. A brief summary of life experiences between high school and attending ACC, and the impact they left on my life. My personal theory of education can be expressed as we teach the present for the future success of the world. Each student can have opportunities to succeed within their own life. There are many facets of education that can make a successful student. From the teachers’ year to year, subject information, school based leaders, mandated standards and much more. I feel that the Curriculum and development class gave an overview of vision, mission, and resources for the standards to be taught.

As humans, we make judgments about everything around us on daily bases. Person perception is what we use to form impressions of people and events. These impressions helps us make conclusions about certain situations based on our impressions. Person perception is impacted by many factors, some of these factors include the characteristics of the person we are dealing with, our personal thoughts and traits as well as the context of the current situation. We often form impressions quickly within seconds, which means these impressions require minimal amount of information. The question is what and where do we get this information from? Roles and social norms are two factors that play a role in forming our initial impression. For example; as a medical student, I am rotating within different clinics all the time, which means, I meet different physicians, different patients, different nurses, different staff and I am introduced to different specialties regularly.

In this course I plan to complete four assignments; I will complete the play resource, Journals, extended reading, and curriculum reviews. I chose to complete the play resource assignment because I think playing is best way to educate the children. I would like to read more about playing resource to have deep knowledge about this critical technic to educate the children. In addition, I select the weekly journal because I would like to summarize my field experience in order to know my strength and weakness skills. Therefore, I can develop my weakness skills during this semester and the following semester. Also, I chose extended reading because I prefer to read more than present. Microeconomics covers many interesting topics but I was able to find five that truly reflected on things that I go through in my daily life. My first topic was supply and demand which are the two words that economists use most often. These are also two words that I use often when demanding items and also supplying them for customers. Another topic that I discussed was the opportunity cost. There are so many things that can be done in one day but it’s always a cost to do one thing over the other. As a junior in high school, I started getting emails from a division three college known as Carleton. The purpose of these messages was to recruit me to come play football for them. After multiple exchanges, I then got in touch with their running back coach and recruiting coordinator, Coach Jerome Smith. I later found out that Coach Smith got his master’s degree in athletic administration from Indiana University and had connections to the football program here as well. While he took classes towards his degree, he also worked closely with the football team as an operations intern and quality control coach. The greatest start to the best speech is a good topic. The topic needs to be modern, up to date, interesting and fun. All of this is depending on your audience as well, so you wouldn’t want to give a speech on the first phones invented to fifth graders. Being a foreign medical graduate, and a stay-at-home mom for the last 17 years, I felt nervous around my colleagues who are professionals and experts in their fields due to years of experience that I felt I did not yet have. I have used the feedback to deepen my learning and improved the learning product I submitted by listing and understanding what my instructor have given me through our discussion about the homework assignments. I have taken that information constructively to make sure that the paper I will be submitting is concise and sound conveying the information properly in the APA format making the submitting assignment free from grammatical errors to best of my ability. For example; the instructor and I discussed about submitting an APA style paper with in-text citation and properly referencing my paper. This discussion helped me more conscious and aware about submitting my writing assignments in the APA format. Also, the discussion helped me to organized and structure my paper given it a consistent flow throughout the paper.
